Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have strategic financial analysis and budgeting ability as well as risk management knowledge and experience. You will be technically strong with a recognised  qualification such as ACCA, ACA or CIMA with extensive post qualified experience managing finance teams. You will have project management experience and experience in financial systems implementation and roll-out. Knowledge and application of charity governance, legal and compliance processes, including UK GAAP and Charity Commission regulations is advantageous for this role. With strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting standards, budgeting and forecasting methods, and laws and regulations , you will be able to ensure the charity has robust systems and processes in place. You will have a collegiate approach to work and will be able to demonstrate team development and leadership skills. Knowledge of the Islamic charity sector and Zakat giving would be an advantage although not essential as training can be provided. We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals looking to develop their  career in finance in a supportive environment.

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have an understanding of strategic marketing and communication and will have a minimum of four-year’s experience in a leadership role. Extensive experience in developing and implementing creative marketing strategies and experience of planning and overseeing targeted campaigns across a range of platforms is essential for the role. You will have demonstratable knowledge of the UK Muslim community and a strong understanding of community engagement for purposes of fundraising and volunteer engagement. Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate data to inform management decisions is also essential for the role. The Senior Program Associate for Europe and Eurasia (E&E) provides administrative, programmatic and technical support to the E&E team. Under the supervision of the Senior Program Officer for Europe and Eurasia, this role plays a vital part in the development, representation, and management of E&E programs.

DAY-TO-DAY TASKS will include:

• Support programmatic development and project management for Internews’ programming within Europe and Eurasia (E&E).
• Review and edit project reports, workplans, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plans in coordination with country program offices and Headquarters staff.
• Monitor progress towards project deliverables and provide guidance to project teams, escalating issues to E&E management as needed.
• Solicit, draft, and edit success stories, briefers, and other communications materials for E&E projects in coordination with project teams.

QUALIFICATIONS WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• University Degree or equivalent lived/professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, including professional experience in international affairs.
• Native/bilingual proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills including diplomacy, tact, and negotiation abilities.
• Superior analytical and writing skills, and experience conducting desk research.
• Proven ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.

We are looking for a warm and self-motivated Engagement Officer to lead community and volunteer engagement, and manage our social media platforms at SOFT UK. In this position, you will engage with the existing SOFT UK community, strengthening and deepening this relationship. You will also build new relationships, thus building our community. Main Responsibilities of the post

The Engagement Officer is responsible to the Charity Director for the management of engagement on behalf of SOFT UK, ensuring we are seen as professional, yet warm and welcoming to our service users.

Introduction and background

The Maternal Mental Health Alliance (MMHA) was founded in 2011 by people with lived experience, healthcare professionals, and organisations who understood the impact of perinatal mental problems and shared a commitment to improving the lives of women and their families.

Today, the MMHA is a UK-wide charity and network of over 130 member organisations. We work with parents, families, clinicians, and academics to ensure all women, birthing people, babies, and families have access to high-quality, compassionate mental health care. We bring the perinatal mental health community together and make change happen by combining the power of real-life experience with clinical and professional expertise.

We actively contribute to significantly improving mental health outcomes for people who experience discrimination, trauma and deprivation during the perinatal period and tackle systemic inequity and injustice.

We are now seeking a Chief Executive to take over from our interim CEO and lead the MMHA in the next stage of our development.

We have recently been awarded a 5-year grant by the National Lottery Community Fund to tackle maternal mental health inequities through community action. This project, due to start in Spring 2025, will develop, test and replicate a model of community-based decision making, support and service provision that is led by women with lived experience. This project aims to achieve system change locally and nationally to improve the mental health of marginalised women and is the next phase of the MMHA’s programme to tackle maternal mental health inequities across the UK. This will be our biggest piece of work over the next five years and will dovetail with other activities aimed at achieving our mission, where funding allows.

Main responsibilities

Leadership and strategy

• To provide clear strategic and inspirational leadership to the MMHA To drive the MMHA forward into the next stage of its development
• To ensure MMHA tackles maternal mental health inequities across the UK
• To be responsible for the management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks laid down by the Board of Trustees
• To work with Chair and Trustees in shaping the MMHA’s strategic mission, policies, aims and objectives
• To ensure long term sustainability of the MMHA through effective governance, sound finance and implementation of operational plans.

People

• To take overall responsibility for all permanent and temporary staff, and other members of the MMHA team, including contractors, champions and ambassadors

• To be responsible overall for the financial sustainability of the charity, and ensure that there are effective mechanisms to ensure the robustness of external and internal controls (financial and non-financial), supported by the Consultant Finance Director
• To support the Consultant Finance Director to ensure the timely and complete preparation of key reports, information and activities, including management accounts, budgets, annual report and accounts, and payroll
• To ensure that the major risks to which the charity is exposed are reviewed regularly by the Board and the Executive team, systems have been established to mitigate these risks
• To work with the Chair and the Board Secretary to ensure that meetings of trustees are effective and that Trustees have appropriate information to perform their duties.

Income generation

• To take overall responsibility for the MMHA’s income generation activities, securing the future of the organisation and delivering its ambition for the mental health of women during the perinatal period
• To lead on all trust, foundation and lottery fundraising, establishing and maintaining relationships, including with the National Lottery Community Fund
• To support the Marketing & Partnerships Director to develop corporate partnerships, taking the lead on the relationship with Tommee Tippee
• To work with the Marketing & Partnerships Director to secure funding from individuals.

Communications and external affairs

• To support the Head of Engagement to maintain a relevant, diverse and effective range of members organisations, and ensure their ongoing contribution to achieving the goals of the charity 4
• To have oversight of the social, economic, clinical and policy context and how they impact on maternal mental health and MMHA strategy
• To ensure the Alliance is working effectively across the 4 UK nations and devolved administrations

A niche research body / global think tank focused on human rights is seeking a Finance Coordinator with US GAAP, accounting and payroll experience for a highly flexible role! The role can be fully-remote from anywhere within the UK.

The position is permanent, and can be offered on a full-time (5 days per week) or part-time (3 or 4 days per week) basis. The salary range is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum FTE. The position will involve a range of finance and operations duties supporting a range of stakeholders within the UK and US.

The post will support the Director of Finance  (UK based) and Director of US Operations (US based) and will work closely with other members of the global Operations team and other Finance team members on critical projects. The post holder will support across a variety of finance work streams including finance administration, payroll, bookkeeping, as well as well as providing general operations support.

Financial Management (50%)

• Manage accounts payable and receivable through QuickBooks Online

• Handle banking transactions/payments, including routine bank reconciliation

About Digital Care Hub

Digital technology helps care services spend more time caring. It helps the people we support keep control of their lives, and of their care. And in recent months, the need for information to be shared securely and efficiently between health and care services has become even more apparent. But there can be risks – for example how information is kept safe and secure, and what happens if a digital system fails.

This is a shared role across Digital Care Hub (DCH) and the Better Security, Better Care (BSBC) programme.

DCH is run by social care providers for social care providers. It is a dedicated platform for providing advice and support to the sector on digital, technology and data protection. BSBC is a support programme to help adult social care providers to store and share information safely through the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT). The DSPT is a free, online self-assessment for health and care providers to evaluate and improve their data and cyber security.

The BSBC programme supports the sector with resources hosted on DCH and assistance provided by local partners to help care providers complete the DSPT. It’s an ambitious programme with the aim that all CQC registered adult social care services will have completed the DSPT. The programme is delivered by a diverse group of care sector organisations, including many local care associations, with colleagues from the NHS, Association of Directors of Adult Social Services and local councils also involved.

About you and the role

We are looking for a someone to join our team as an Engagement Manager. You'll play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the DCH and BSBC programmes, by providing key insight and support to our Local Support Organisations to enable them to engage with their local health and social care stakeholders, liaising with our partners and grantees and addressing all manner of different challenges.

This role is a job share, alongside our existing Engagement Manager you'll manage programme-critical functions and will take an entrepreneurial approach to improving our stakeholder engagement and management. You'll report to the Programme Director.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll do:

· Stakeholder management. Developing, building and mapping our key stakeholder relationships

· Communications toolkit development. Making sure our local support organisation are equipped with everything they need to effectively reach out to their local stakeholders and are able to report this to our central team. 

· Management of special interest groups.

· Events planning. Leading the development and management of online and in person events across both programmes. 

· Tracking and managing contacts across the programme compliance and governance processes. Managing paperwork and reporting for the board.

· Ensuring regular communications to the grantees and stakeholders, working closely with the Communications Manager and Delivery Manager to develop the comms and marketing for the programmes.

· Managing programme comms including writing case studies, articles, blogs.

· Attending events nationally as a representative of the programme.

· Providing monthly data reports to the BSBC board and relevant stakeholders. Managing the effective data monitoring system and proposing developments and improvements where necessary.

· Grow with the role. As the programme grows, lead the delivery of our local and regional support as well as working closely with the wider Better Security, Better Care and Digital Social Care teams to ensure the programme is embedded in the digital developments across the sector.

The Senior Programme Officer - Development & Advocacy will report to Programme Director.

Job Description 

Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Monitor funding trends and donor priorities to develop tailored and compelling proposals.

Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development.  Help facilitate policy dialogue and engagement with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and civil society networks, to advance the priorities of HAMRAH and its cohort organisations.

Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform programme strategies, advocacy efforts, and policy development. This includes helping produce briefing papers, reports, and articles with clear recommendations based on HAMRAH’s work and evidence.  Also monitor emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in Afghanistan and other exiled communities across Global South to ensure programming remains responsive, relevant and impactful. 

Communication and Reporting:  Lead the development of newsletters and other digital communication materials to showcase HAMRAH’s achievements and cohort organisations’ work.  If needed and approved by cohort, coordinate digital engagement strategies, including website updates and social media campaigns, to enhance HAMRAH visibility and outreach. Lead the drafting of narrative and financial reports to donors.

Capacity Development: support assessment of capacity-building needs of cohort organisations and develop tailored training plans to address identified gaps. When needed, provide technical support to cohort organisations to strengthen their operational and programmatic capacities.

Learning and Exchange: Support the planning and execution of online and in-person cross-learning exchange workshops with partner organisations in the Global South. Facilitate opportunities for collaboration and collective learning, and help establish global solidarity networks, platforms, and resources to enhance knowledge-sharing among cohort organisations.

Person specification 

Required 

• At least 5 years of experience in programme support across fundraising, joint advocacy, partnership, research and capacity development, particularly in the non-profit or international development sectors.

• Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent knowledge that could have been gained through lived experiences or informal learning. 

• Demonstrated experience in grant writing and successfully developing funding proposals for institutional donors, foundations, or multilateral agencies.

• Previous experience in policy dialogue, joint advocacy and policy development, particularly engaging with government stakeholders, donors, and civil society networks.

• Experience in research, mapping, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, proposals, and policy documents.

• Demonstrated communication and networking skills, including experience in digital engagement and social media strategy.

• Strong Empathy and care for activists and human rights defenders, with a strong commitment to enabling their work and safeguarding their well-being who are operating in a complex and challenging environment.
