Age UK is recruiting for a Partner Communications Manager to develop and oversee communication channels and plans which are aligned to our strategic objectives and which ensure our network colleagues feel supported, informed, included.
Working closely with Age UK's Chief Network Officer, Director of Network Support and Engagement, and Head of Internal Communications, you will be part of a team leading on a communications strategy which helps to make the Age UK network a great network to be a part of.
You'll collaborate with colleagues across Age UK and the Age UK network to develop inspiring content so we can best support people the Age UK network and help them in their work to improve the lives of older people.

We operate a hybrid-working model, a blend of home and office working. This role will include regular days working from our London office. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the post-holder and are not covered by the charity.

Purpose of the job
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant to support two of our fantastic directors who have not had in-house support before.
The position will be split 50/50 between the Director of External Relations and Income Generation, and the Director of Network Delivery. Each director will require a different level of support, and they will work the post holder to devise what best suits their individual needs.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily activities and long-term projects.
Key responsibilities

Provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Network Delivery and Director of Income Generation and Strategic Communications, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing the departmental credit card expenses and reporting.

Serve as the primary point of contact between executives and internal/external stakeholders.

Prepare, review, and edit documents, reports, and presentations for meetings and events.

We are looking for a full-time Shelter Coordinator to join our small and friendly team to lead the successful delivery of our shelter operations for the 2024-25 winter season.
C4WS Homeless Project provides support to those experiencing homelessness throughout the year via a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, hosting scheme, mentoring scheme and various other activities. Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the practical and day-to-day running of our shelters, which will involve:
- Ensuring each shelter has enough trained volunteers to safely operate
- Ensuring each shelter has all the practical equipment and resources needed
- Liaising with and supporting church volunteer teams
- Being the main staff presence at shelter shifts
- Responsible for managing our weekly Friday Club drop in
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or other similarly disadvantaged groups, an efficient and practical approach, warm and friendly nature, and a can-do attitude.
The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly whilst the shelter is operating. This includes some evenings (9:30pm finish), and some weekend shifts and bank holidays, as per a weekly-changing rota, and therefore is required to display considerable flexibility. We are looking for someone who is a real team player and able to lead teams working in a matrix team structure. Whilst an understanding of facilitator best practice and experience of timetabling a high volume of events, all with different requirements is desirable, these are not essential criteria for applying for the role and relevant training will be provided.

We have created this new role to support the organisation’s growing finance functions. The Access to Justice Foundation is seeking a Development Officer to join us at an exciting time, as we launch new organisational and fundraising strategies. We are offering a unique opportunity to learn and apply your skills across a range of fundraising streams.
You will be responsible for promoting and administering pro bono costs orders, supporting volunteer organisers of our annual fundraising walks, and maintaining key stakeholder relationships and securing new donors (principally law firms and charitable trusts).
You will work closely with the Development Director (who oversees our fundraising and development strategy) and the other Development Officers (who will share responsibility for fundraising, alongside their broader promotion and awareness raising activity).

Mission of the role
Support the overall income generation of the organisation through developing three income streams: mentor programme sales, grants from trusts and foundations and corporate donations.
Structure and remuneration

Days: 4 days per week (32 hours)

This role is an income generation role with a focus on corporate giving, grants from trusts and foundations and sales from our mentoring programme.
Role Responsibilities
Corporate Giving

Identify and research potential corporate social responsibility (CSR) partners aligned with the organisation's mission.

Support Founding Director to develop relationships with corporate partners to secure funding
-
Create compelling partnership proposals, including staff volunteering opportunities, to prospective corporate partners, ensuring that volunteering opportunities within corporate partnerships are supporting the impact of our programmes

Maintain and nurture relationships with partners, ensuring mutual benefits and long-term collaboration.
Trusts and foundations

Identify and research grant opportunities from foundations, local councils, and other funding bodies.

Write and submit high-quality grant applications, including all required documentation and follow-up reports.

Maintain a grants calendar to track submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities.

Prepare reports for funders and stakeholders where appropriate
Sales from Mentoring Programme

Identify and engage prospective clients, especially in areas identified as target sectors based on trends in mentee interest

Create marketing materials to effectively communicate the value of the mentoring programmes.

Manage the sales pipeline, from initial contact through to closing deals and onboarding new clients.

Maintain and nurture relationships with clients to ensure long term relationships

Organise talks and create marketing materials to recruit mentors from within client companies in line with our programmes calendar
