You will provide regular and timely reports on digital performance. You will provide strategic direction around online privacy and marketing consent.

You will have advanced experience of website analysis including using Google Analytics and Google Tags Manager. You will have knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS.  You will have experience of using Power BI and/or Google Looker (Data Studio), and experience of data visualisation. You will have advanced experience of using SEO tools and techniques and knowledge of social media analytics. You will have experience of using keyword research tools, including Google Trends and Keyword Planner. You will also have a strong understanding of ecommerce, digital marketing, including Google Ads and PPC advertising.

Desirably, you will have an understanding of SQL to query data in Big Query.

The Opportunity
Inspire are seeking a Partnerships Manager to join our team. Purpose of the role

We are looking for a creative, organised, and disciplined person to take on a key role within our rapidly expanding organisation. As the Communications and Digital Officer, you will be central in the implementation of Black Thrive Global’s communications strategy. You will be supporting our Communications Manager in the delivery of all aspects of communications and marketing activity with both key stakeholders and the public.

You will help to support the creation of a compelling and consistent narrative about the work that Black Thrive Global does across all our communication channels. You will be integral in helping to disseminate key messaging for core projects and work-streams working closely with our internal teams and external partners. Black Thrive Global’s communication approach aims to be both reactive and proactive, and you will be expected to be well informed about events and trends in the media and public arena.

Duties and responsibilities

1.  Produce compelling and engaging content for internal and external blog posts, newsletters, and digital content across our communication channels.
2. Produce in-house design for publications and promotional materials and social media assets as required.
3. Lead on delivery and scheduling of the Communications Calendar, this will include horizon scanning of the news agenda as well as regular yearly campaigns i.e., Disability Week, Refugee Month, International Day of the Girl, LGBTQIA+ etc.
4. Deliver and implement our social media strategy across our various platforms.
5. Lead on managing and developing social media channels to engage and grow our online audience.
6. Maintain and update our website and digital content.
7. Support the Communications Manager and internal teams with producing reactive media and digital outputs.
8. Support with PR and media relations tasks, including monitoring coverage, building up journalist databases and drafting statements and releases.
9. Support internal teams with event coordination and marketing campaigning.
10. Collecting and analysing data and information of communications activity to assess our impact and opportunities for brand growth.

Design in Mental Health Network is a registered charity, which aims to improve mental health outcomes by promoting knowledge exchange, co-production involving the voice of people with Lived Experience and challenging the status quo of mental health design.

We are a network of experts whose perspectives, thoughts, insights, opinions are grounded in research, professional qualification and/or lived experience.  The collective includes a wide range of stakeholders involved in planning for, designing, building, managing and using spaces that impact on our mental health.

We believe the better the design brief is in determining and matching the evidenced needs of all users, the better the goal of improving the actual design of settings to support better mental health care and patient outcomes will be. 

Good design facilitates human connection (therapeutic/supportive relationships) and to this end we advocate to engage and influence people with decision making capabilities and/or budget control, to understand how to use existing resources more effectively in leading to better mental health outcomes.

We want to actively challenge the status quo, using research and our design skills to reimagine radical new ways of approaching mental health care that improve the outcomes for patients and make these spaces better places to work for the staff on the front line.  We’ll always do this from the view of what is best for the person receiving care, using the built environment as a platform for lasting stabilisation or recovery from mental ill health.

Role Summary:  We are looking for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to oversee our financial operations. This is a key role within our small organisation, ensuring the accuracy of our financial information and maintaining compliance with all statutory financial regulations. You will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, contributing to the long-term sustainability of the charity through effective financial management and reporting.  WFH is permissible in this role, although you will be required to attend quarterly Finance & Audit Committee meetings with Trustees in person.

Key Responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION: The role includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

1. To be responsible for maintaining the entire accounting function of the charity using Xero accounting software, inputting financial data and ensuring all reconciliations are completed by 10th of each month. Control and reconciliation of income and expenditure relating to major fundraising events, managing debtors and banking takings.  Assisting in preparation of financial reports for donors as required.

2. To keep up to date with statutory regulations, guidelines and best practice for the financial management of charities, ensuring Trustees are properly advised of their statutory responsibilities.

3. To maintain, and amend where necessary, financial procedures and administrative systems to ensure accurate capture of financial information as required by statute, including cataloguing of all receipts and holding staff to proper filing of financial documents. 

4. To maintain proper use of charitable funds, including restricted funds, ensuring that expenditure remains within pre-approved budgets and does not outstrip income.

5. To liaise with the payroll provider with regards to any changes by 17th of each month, arrange salary payments for 24th of each month (UK staff x3).  Maintain Pension Scheme records and liaise with Pensions Regulator.

6. To liaise with auditors to ensure that statutory obligations are met on a timely basis and final accounts are available for sign off at September Trustees Board Meeting. 

7. To work collaboratively with staff in Uganda and Zambia, and any other partner organisations, speaking over the telephone and through Skype, helping them to maintain accounts and adhere to financial procedures that meet required standards for a UK charity. 

8. To be the principal contact with the Charity’s bank and the main administrator of the online and telephone banking. 

9. To liaise with FX bank contacts for best rates facilitate bi-monthly overseas transfers and have awareness and monitoring of exchange movements.

10. To process claims for Gift Aid, during and up to end of financial year by 20th April.

11. To produce, in collaboration with other staff, annual budgets, cash flow projections for consideration by Trustees at the Finance Committee and Board meetings in February/March each year.

12. To provide regular financial reports, both verbally and in writing, to the Executive Director, Treasurer & Trustees including quarterly summary of income and expenditure, full monthly profit and loss and management accounts and cash flow projections.

13. To attend quarterly Finance Audit Committees, and Board meetings if required.

Essential:

• Experience managing the full financial function of a charity or similar organisation, including familiarity with accounting software (preferably Xero).

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but professional and friendly development team to continue the delivery of our high-quality new build homes programme.

We design our homes to high standards, incorporating local architectural features. Working under the leadership of the Development Director and collaboratively with internal colleagues and external consultants and contractors, the role will be to fully coordinate from inception to completion the day-to-day project management of rural exception site housing delivery (noting, we do deliver some through selective Section 106 planning gain schemes). Our typical sites are around six to ten affordable homes, although we can also develop a small number of outright sale homes through our subsidiary ER Homes Ltd to cross subsidise the affordable homes.

About you:

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in working and successfully delivering affordable housing development and preferably rural housing. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively and independently. It takes a special project manager with professionalism, enthusiasm, tenacity and a great deal of pride to stay the course and deliver these small, often challenging yet ultimately rewarding community housing schemes. The right candidate will also have sufficient technical expertise, from a formal qualification or direct experience. To succeed in this role you'll demonstrate excellent organisation, programme and project management skills. You'll be an excellent communicator and have proven experience of building and maintaining relationships with different audiences of varying seniority.

Whilst an understanding of facilitator best practice and experience of timetabling a high volume of events, all with different requirements is desirable, these are not essential criteria for applying for the role and relevant training will be provided.
