We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.
- Update the fundraising and marketing team budget tracker, ensuring accurate financial tracking throughout the appeal process.
- Support the setup and management of Appeal Toolkits and Appeal Hubs, providing essential assets to staff, member agencies, and suppliers.
- Assist with the coordination and delivery of creative projects across all direct marketing channels, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Work with the team to gather and report appeal results, providing updates to the Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Executive Team, and CEO’s office.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Organize and manage review meetings with suppliers’ post-appeal, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor and update core and appeal budgets, processing invoices and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
- Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in project coordination and administrative support, ideally within a fundraising or marketing environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience with budget tracking and financial processes.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work well within a team.

What You’ll Do

Develop and manage the Foundation’s brand and creative strategy in conjunction with the CEO and Head of Fundraising

Oversee and administer marketing and communications for the Foundation, including annual plans, message development, campaigns, creative direction, target audiences, timelines, talking points, and other related issues

Spearhead the development, maintenance, and evaluation of marketing and communication materials, including annual reports, publications, videos, events, printed collateral, digital marketing, direct mailings, image development and design, research, and talking points

Manage the Foundation’s strategies to drive successful giving campaigns through corporate supporters, public annual giving vehicles, and special events, including mass participation or community fundraising events, to ensure fundraising goals are achieved

Develop, implement, and monitor project budgets, ensuring compliance with applicable fiscal restraints, analyse data, manage resources effectively, and adjust project budgets and activities to ensure strong fundraising results

Manage the Foundation website and social media channels, developing content and increasing followers to meet overall communication and marketing priorities

Oversee the communications for the Foundation’s donor stewardship programme for annual donors, first-time donors, and corporate partnerships

Manage in-person events, including fundraising events and brand awareness events.

What You’ll Bring

Extensive experience in marketing strategy development and execution, particularly in integrated, multi-channel campaigns focused on customer acquisition and fundraising

Proven track record in managing brand identity and creative strategy, including the development of marketing materials such as annual reports, publications, and digital content

Demonstrated experience with digital marketing techniques, including social media management, SEO, email marketing, and online analytics

Experience in planning, executing, and evaluating marketing campaigns, including both organic and paid media strategies

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

About the role
We are seeking a talented Database Officer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about data to play a key role in supporting the charity's mission through data management and analysis.
As a Database Officer, you will help support the final stages of the implementation of Beacon, and then will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and maintenance of the CRM moving forward. You’ll collaborate across departments, manage data imports, ensure data accuracy, and provide valuable insights to improve our engagement with supporters and donors. Your work will contribute to the growth of the charity by enabling data-driven decision-making.
The Database officer will sit within the CoppaFeel! Operations Team and will work closely with the Data and Compliance Manager and the Director of Operations to support the organisation with the roll out of Beacon.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
You will report into The Data and Compliance Manager and sit within the Operations Team.
The Role
Duties & Responsibilities
Database Management:
- Maintain and update the charity's CRM database Beacon, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Manage records, ensuring data is up-to-date and compliant with GDPR regulations.
- Conduct regular data cleaning, deduplication, and quality checks.
- Support integrations between the database and other systems (e.g., email marketing, online donation platforms)
Data Imports and Exports:
- Process and import data from various sources, including fundraising platforms, events, and direct marketing campaigns.
- Extract and segment data for use in fundraising campaigns, communications, and reporting.
- Process and reconcile donations and assist with direct debit and gift aid claims
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports for teams across the charity, including fundraising, marketing, and senior management, using tools such as Excel or CRM reporting functions.
- Provide data analysis and insights to help optimise fundraising and supporter engagement strategies
Data Compliance:
- Ensure all data processing activities are in line with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Maintain and manage consent on the CRM ensuring GDPR compliance
Training and Support:
- Provide database training and support to colleagues, helping them to utilise the CRM effectively.
- Assist with the development and documentation of database procedures and best practices
Skills, Experience and Qualifications

- Proven experience working in a database officer or similar role, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Beacon, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Donorfy, or equivalent)

The role of the Direct Marketing Executive is a varied one. Working with different teams & suppliers, you will be supporting and delivering direct marketing campaigns online, offline and across a range of media channels. The acquisition programme is an evolving one and there is change and growth happening in a lot of interesting areas at a fast pace.
As well as running day-to-day activity on your own campaigns, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the wider acquisition team by ensuring data and supporter engagement processes are running smoothly across campaigns. Alongside this, they will ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice is top of the agenda.
Fundraising experience is not essential for the role, but we are looking for someone with the desire and self-motivation to learn and develop, and the drive and passion to change the future for those affected by dementia. The successful candidate will be able to show this, be collaborative and enthusiastic, want to learn and develop, and be keen to get involved with the activities of the team right away.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Campaign Management
· Support with planning and delivery of a wide range of supporter engagement and fundraising activities including digital marketing and face-to-face fundraising.
· Support with the creation of content copywriting for digital adverts.
· Work with others in the team to conduct mystery shopping, shadowing and call listening to measure fundraising quality and ensure compliance.
· Liaise with designers, printers, mailing houses, agencies, and fulfilment houses.
· Support the day-to-day management of fundraising agencies and suppliers, ensuring relationships are effective and productive.
· Assist in the production and delivery of motivating fundraiser training.
· Support in recommendations for change and refinement across the direct marketing programme.
Finance & Reporting
· Daily campaign tracking and reporting
· Administer the recording, reconciliation, and processing of invoices to be paid from acquisition Direct Marketing nominal codes.
Other duties
· Tracking and evaluating competitor and industry trends, collaborating with the other Direct Marketing Executive to provide recommendations to the wider team for potential improvements and testing opportunities.
· Keep up to date on the latest developments within the sector relating to best practice in fundraising.
· Proof-read direct marketing materials and collateral.
· Regularly attend, support, and contribute to meetings and events.
· Ensure compliance and adherence to the most recent regulations and codes of practice.
· Keep up to date with dementia news, research developments and the work of ARUK and consider the impact on campaigns.
· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Senior Direct Marketing Officer in line with the responsibilities of the post.

Additional Information:

About the Role:
As our Senior Marketing Officer (Supporter Activation) you will project lead our highly successful water bill insert campaign (managed in close collaboration with the Water Industry Partnership Team). Overseeing the delivery of these campaigns from briefing through to post-campaign analysis, as well as the development of new ideas to maximise the opportunities offered by this relationship.
You’ll support the Marketing Manager and wider team in the day-to-day development, management and delivery of a number of fundraising campaigns. In particular our successful DRTV programme, managing the relationship with our telemarketing agency and support in planning and delivery of new creative.
You’ll also:
- Managing our response handling agency to ensure effective conversion of response for our DRTV campaigns through regular monitoring and testing; providing training and development and analysing results regularly.
- Manage agency relationships; overseeing the management and development of any campaigns from briefing through to post-campaign analysis, collaborating with external partners, taking responsibility for resolving queries, trafficking all stages of the project and escalation of potential problems.
- Help develop and manage expenditure and income budgets. Help create the budget, to monitor monthly management accounts and key performance indicators and to undertake reforecasts as required.
- Regularly monitor, evaluate and analyse campaigns, providing regular results and recommendations for strategy development based on reviews and analysis.
- Liaise with team leaders and project managers in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities utilising specialist knowledge and experience in direct marketing.
- Remain up-to-date about developments in the external market-place and assess the suitability of new, innovative approaches for recruiting supporters to remain competitive.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that all supporter communications are consistent with the WaterAid brand, working closely with the International, Policy and Campaigns, and Communications teams.
About You:
- Successful track record of working in a direct marketing role, including proven experience of planning and executing campaigns across different channels, including digital.
- Experience of managing telemarketing, call handling and large-scale print campaigns
- Experience of managing creative development, including writing creative briefs, working with creative agencies, ensuring the correct sign off procedures are followed, and appropriate stakeholders consulted.
- Project management experience including identifying opportunities and managing through to implementation.
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities.

Resuscitation Council UK’s (RCUK) Communications and Engagement team delivers creative communications and authentic engagement activities that support the organisation’s vision to ensure that everyone in the UK has the skills they need to save a life and receive appropriate resuscitation.
Our audiences include health and social care professionals, members of the public, charities, professional bodies and associations, UK policymakers and campaigning groups.
We are looking for a creative self-starter with a passion for digital marketing and skilled in community management.
You need to be a motivated and enthusiastic marketer who is comfortable working on impactful campaigns which have a wide and diverse reach. You should be confident bringing healthcare-related stories to life through different digital channels. You will be responsible for delivering outputs from our social media as well as leading on our email communications. You will analyse and evaluate the results of these campaigns and use insights to drive development, with support from the Digital Media and Marketing Manager.

Main responsibilities and duties
Website, SEO & PPC
- Write/produce, build and publish content for the RCUK website, including articles, features, statements and updates, ensuring diversity and inclusion is considered in everything we do.
- Ensure all content, imagery or files uploaded to the website are of an optimal file size and comply with accessibility guidance e.g., alt text, descriptive links.
- Support the Digital Media and Marketing Manager to deliver the SEO priorities for the organisation and increase RCUK’s reach.
- Use insight (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Crazy Egg, surveys etc) to identify content gaps and opportunities for website improvements in line with user requirements.
Campaigns
- Support the communications and engagement team to deliver on key integrated campaigns across the year.
- Support on the delivery of marketing and communications strategies for core RCUK products: including generating sales for commercial products such as e-Lifesaver and paid events such as conferences through digital marketing and direct communications.
- Support the Media and Campaigns team with asset creation and amplify media opportunities via our digital channels

- Respond to comments across our social media channels and build support within our online community through engaging in conversations. Answer queries (liaising with other teams as required) and escalate any reputational issues to the Digital Media and Marketing Manager.

· Play an active role in our move to a new email marketing platform and CRM

Analysis and reporting
· Build an email testing plan and share learnings with the Digital team, wider department and with International teams

We’re looking for a marketing officer to join our busy brand marketing and planning team, to work on our health information and support marketing. It’s an exciting time to join the team and Breast Cancer Now as we continue to make progress towards our ambition to be recognised as the place to turn for anything and everything to do with breast cancer.
You’ll be working closely with services, nursing and health information teams and responsible for delivering innovative and effective marketing communications which grows awareness of Breast Cancer Now’s health information and support offer amongst key audiences.
You’ll use your skills and experience to work across a full range of paid and owned channels to collaborate with both in-house and external, creative and media agencies to increase the reach and engagement of Breast Cancer Now’s support offer by planning and implementing targeted communications and campaigns.
About you
You will have good experience managing marketing campaigns across a range of media channels and a demonstrable interest in health marketing.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you will be confident managing external agencies and suppliers, as well as an in-house creative studio and in house digital team.
We have a wide portfolio of campaigns that sit closely with teams across the whole organisation and you will work closely alongside internal stakeholders – all of which require excellent relationship building and stakeholder management skills. You will need to be comfortable managing several campaigns simultaneously as well as enjoy looking for fresh ways to deliver long-standing campaigns.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our London office. Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.
