Senior AV Technician
Location: Based in Kensington, London.
Salary range: £41,645 - £44,285 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.
Contract: Permanent, full-time, subject to successful completion of a probationary period of three months.
As part of the Venue Hire team you will be leading on the AV elements of Society and Venue Hire client event delivery and assist them to project their ideas with technical expertise. You will be responsible for leading the technical team for events requiring support with Audio/Video, streaming, hybrid, lighting and recording needs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the technical production of high-profile, technically complex events and assist in the hands-on delivery of events in line with the programme requirements for the venue.
- Ensure all technical requirements are set up and ready before each event starts.
- Select and prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required.
- Brief and hand over of the relevant files to the freelancer team before events.
- Provide technical support to clients and staff before events and during conferences and other event formats.
- Operate event production equipment including audio desk, lighting desk, vision mixer and PTZ cameras and operation.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in operating audio-visual equipment, including Digico SD9, vMix, Blackmagic Design Switcher and software, Shure Wireless Microphone.
- Set up live streaming, virtual, video and hybrid conferencing equipment and sourcing additional external equipment where required in the Ondaatje Theatre and Education Centre. OT.
- Set up video conferencing kit in meeting rooms for hybrid meeting with Zoom Teams etc.
- Test and monitor that live streaming feeds are working.
- Ensure that freelancers perform as required onsite and using our equipment; supervise and manage freelance support for event (where it is required), as agreed with the Venue team.
- Supervise and training freelancers on all existing and new equipment.
- Be proactive in research, selection and/or upgrade of AV equipment to purchase and the installation and oversight of new equipment installation.
- Ensure that AV equipment is maintained, undertaking necessary repairs or utilising a maintenance company services.
- Prepare and maintain user guides and maintain an inventory of Society AV equipment.
- Carry out regular liaison with senior executives and high-profile clients regarding their event AV needs.
- Work with the Venue team to provide feedback on possible enhancements and improvements to the Society’s Events spaces.
- Meet regularly with Venue hire team colleagues to plan and fill all events requests for the week ahead including hybrid events, conferences, webinars, broadcasts, and streaming.
- Contribute to event debriefings, discussing customer feedback to ensure continuous assessment and improvement.

This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions. This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.
We now have a need for two Development Officers to work closely with the Development Director and Development Manager in developing our trusts and foundations and statutory income streams, managing the accounts of existing supporters and generating income through securing new funding relationships. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding proposals, through to successfully managing relationships with funders.

• Confidently write and speak about Tender’s work, and how we prevent violence against women and girls, to a range of different funders.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Gift Aid, Compliance and Fulfilment Manager to join our busy team on a fixed term contract. With your focus on the day-to-day management of our key supplier relationships, you’ll oversee multiple work streams and competing priorities across complex operations.
With support, you’ll also provide advice to all internal teams on Fundraising Compliance. You’ll understand when and how to dig deeper into risks and escalate as appropriate, acting as a key representative in this area across the charity.
You’ll oversee monthly gift aid claims, ensuring all processes from collection, storage and auditing are compliant and documented. This role is a great opportunity to work across multiple directorates. Your work will have a direct impact on our success and help us make a real difference.

- Maintain Green Alliance’s reputation as a respected thought leader on climate and nature issues by leading and supporting the development and delivery of high quality strategies to secure impact in the environmental / health policy intersection. - Advise colleagues on the narratives, framings and relationships that we should build in order to further our goals and use skills and experience to help build these. Use your networks to help us land our work with impact involving the right partners.

Role Description:

Student-facing Training
- Lead the operational planning and delivery of our student-facing training programmes, including training our student group leaders, our elected sabbatical officers and our academic representatives, among others
- Work with relevant staff across KCLSU to implement the KCLSU Training Strategy and share and promote best practice across the organisation
- Work with relevant KCLSU teams to ensure consistency across student-facing training and ongoing guidance and support through the Community Development Framework and the Services Framework, and ensuring consistency with policy and compliance
Training Design & Development
- Develop best practice guidance for training design and delivery in line with the KCLSU Training Strategy.
- With oversight of all training content, work with the Training Manager to ensure we are utilising efficient and effective methods of delivery.
- Apply a process for assessing learner needs to ensure training is accessible for all, implementing adaptive approaches to training that mitigate barriers to engagement
- Ensure our training content is engaging and reflective of our diverse student membership.
- Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices
Service Development
- Develop the annual operating plans for the Community Engagement Department's Training, ensuring ongoing quality improvement of our training provision in line with KCLSU's strategic plan.
- Review and improve processes, using staff resources effectively and implementing efficient, sustainable and robust working practices.
- Monitor key performance indicators, managing processes for measuring and reporting on impact and outcomes.
- Develop mechanisms for service feedback, consultation and user insight, understanding user needs and perspectives to inform service development.
Stakeholder Management and Partnerships
- Work with key partners at KCL, including the Students and Education Directorate (SED), Dr Michael Flavin and KCL Careers & Employability

The Role
We now seek a Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Research Manager to deliver a step change in organisational capacity in the MELR space, develop our approaches to data collection, and coordinate planning and reporting processes. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. About this role
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that communications and marketing priorities are implemented across the organisation to build brand awareness and reputation, increase reach and engagement across key stakeholder groups (funders, learners, coordination bodies, strategic partners), support fundraising activities, as well as contribute to RedR’s positioning within relevant sectors.The post holder will have exceptional communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning and development within RedR’s thematic areas.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of yearly comms and marketing plan with support from Associate Director of Business Development and Programmes
- Produce regular website, social media and communications content as well as newsletters to maintain engagement and improve our reach across our members, supporters, funders and other target audiences
- Website maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff, centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Support programme staff with creation of new resources and materials for our projects Support fundraising efforts including public appeals through content development, design and project management with external suppliers

Social Media and website
- Maintain and build RedR UK’s social media presence, ensuring social media channels are populated with engaging content with a consistent, strong voice reflecting RedR’s strategy to maximise potential for exposure among target audiences
- Manage a calendar of social media and website activity
- Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms
- Monitor and report on engagement, number of followers and website referrals to inform best practice for post timing and content
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries received through social media and inbound emails, ensuring they are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of RedR UK’s website, including making edits and creating new content
- Ensure the website content is proofread and accurate, and any broken links or errors are promptly corrected
- Website (wordpress) maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff (and external developer where relevant), centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms

Marketing
- Stay abreast of comms and marketing trends and propose new and innovative approaches to increase outreach, engagement and fundraising income
- Produce in-house marketing materials and templates including event brochures, proposal templates, illustrations for reports/proposals, graphics and videos using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and other editing tools
- Produce and disseminate high quality regular newsletters, and support with production of speeches and letters
- Identify inspiring impact stories and produce written and occasional films case studies and other content for use by the Fundraising and Programmes teams, supporting
- Support programme teams wishing to undertake communications activities as part of a grant/funded project; ensure that institutional donors’ communications activities and visibility requirements are respected
- Lead on emergency communications, in close coordination with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development
- Champion and monitor the use of RedR brand and style guidelines; to develop messaging guidelines and ensure they are adhered to across the organisation and to support other departments to develop their messaging and material.
