Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Property and Asset Manager to lead the Council's property function. This role encompasses strategic planning, development, and management of the Council's non-housing property portfolios (operational, leisure & heritage, community and commercial assets). About you

Role overview:
A pivotal senior position within the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising team, this role works closely with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising to lead key fundraising initiatives and stewardship efforts. Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, staff development, and performance management, as well as contributing to strategic planning and budget oversight. The role also leads the delivery of a multi-channel legacy marketing programme and ensures external suppliers meet agreed service levels. The role will line manage two team members, take on broader leadership responsibilities within the department, and actively promote legacy giving across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraising to shape and implement the overarching strategy and budget, with a key focus on expanding the supporter pipeline, increasing In Memory donations, and safeguarding long-term Legacy income.
- Offer expert advice and strategic input to design integrated, personalised supporter journeys that prioritise exceptional supporter experiences, drawing on industry best practices and working closely with internal teams and external agency partners.
- Lead the planning and delivery of multi-channel Legacy and In Memory fundraising campaigns—across acquisition and stewardship—including DRTV, press, print, and digital; monitor performance and report progress against defined KPIs and milestones.
Person Specification: - Deep expertise in all areas of Legacy and In-Memory fundraising, underpinned by strong knowledge and hands-on experience within the sector
- Extensive track record of successfully managing multiple campaigns across various channels—meeting and exceeding revenue targets, crafting compelling copy, overseeing third-party suppliers, and using data insights effectively, all while ensuring full regulatory and compliance adherence
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning, execution, and management of fundraising strategies
- Proven excellence as a highly organised and effective project manager, capable of leading multiple complex projects simultaneously while prioritising workload efficiently
- Strong financial management capabilities, including experience in budget management, creating spending plans, and delivering accurate financial reporting
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams, as well as effectively managing external partners such as media and digital agencies, and internal service teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and foster strong, collaborative relationships across all organisational levels

As Learning and Development Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the learning culture at Causeway. You will also oversee our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it is well-maintained, up to date, and accessible to all staff.

Responsibilities
Training & Development Strategy
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of engaging and relevant training in line with contractual and organisational requirements.
- Work closely with Service Managers to identify learning needs and skills gaps across teams.
- Develop and maintain content on the Learning Management System (LMS), tailoring courses to meet operational priorities.
- Research and introduce new training initiatives (e.g., apprenticeships, funded programmes) aligned with strategic objectives.
- Design and review development pathways to support growth into new contracts or impact areas.
- Ensure compliance of mandatory training as required by our contract holders.
Performance & Capability
- Oversee the supervision and appraisal framework, ensuring staff receive meaningful, holistic feedback.
- Identify and support upskilling needs for professional growth and organisational performance.
- Support managers with performance management processes, including informal interventions and formal proceedings where necessary.
Training Quality & Evaluation
- Monitor the quality and impact of internal training sessions.
- Ensure trainers are confident and engaging in their delivery.
- Maintain oversight of the training calendar, attendance tracking, and associated admin.
Onboarding & Induction
- Manage and continuously improve the New Starter Induction programme.
- Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of employee onboarding to ensure a positive and well-supported start.
- Deliver inductions, training and workshops when required.
Employee Experience & Wellbeing
- Oversight of access to effective Peer Group Support across relevant teams and monitor its impact.
- Promote a welcoming, inclusive, and developmental employee experience.
People & Culture
- Represent the People & Culture team in recruitment processes by chairing interviews where needed.
- Support the management of the shared L&D and People and Culture inboxes and respond to general enquiries.

The Legacy and In Memory Manager is responsible for developing and delivering plans to maximise gifts in wills and in memory giving, ensuring a sustainable income stream for the charity whilst providing exceptional levels of supporter care.
This role will oversee the administration of legacies, drive the growth of the charity’s Free Wills programme, steward legacy pledgers, and expand in memory fundraising. The Legacy and In Memory Manager will also ensure supporter journeys, audience insight and effective targeting are at the heart of the charity’s programme, working with the Individual Giving and Development Lead to create impactful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.
The post holder will raise awareness of the importance and impact of gifts in wills and in memory giving to a wider audience, both internally and externally, ensuring these vital income streams are embraced at all levels of the organisation.

About the role
