About this role
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that communications and marketing priorities are implemented across the organisation to build brand awareness and reputation, increase reach and engagement across key stakeholder groups (funders, learners, coordination bodies, strategic partners), support fundraising activities, as well as contribute to RedR’s positioning within relevant sectors.The post holder will have exceptional communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning and development within RedR’s thematic areas.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of yearly comms and marketing plan with support from Associate Director of Business Development and Programmes
- Produce regular website, social media and communications content as well as newsletters to maintain engagement and improve our reach across our members, supporters, funders and other target audiences
- Website maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff, centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Support programme staff with creation of new resources and materials for our projects Support fundraising efforts including public appeals through content development, design and project management with external suppliers

Social Media and website
- Maintain and build RedR UK’s social media presence, ensuring social media channels are populated with engaging content with a consistent, strong voice reflecting RedR’s strategy to maximise potential for exposure among target audiences
- Manage a calendar of social media and website activity
- Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms
- Monitor and report on engagement, number of followers and website referrals to inform best practice for post timing and content
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries received through social media and inbound emails, ensuring they are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of RedR UK’s website, including making edits and creating new content
- Ensure the website content is proofread and accurate, and any broken links or errors are promptly corrected
- Website (wordpress) maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff (and external developer where relevant), centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Work with external website developer to resolve issues with the website and further develop design of website to accommodate emerging needs.
Marketing
- Stay abreast of comms and marketing trends and propose new and innovative approaches to increase outreach, engagement and fundraising income
- Produce in-house marketing materials and templates including event brochures, proposal templates, illustrations for reports/proposals, graphics and videos using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and other editing tools
- Produce and disseminate high quality regular newsletters, and support with production of speeches and letters
- Identify inspiring impact stories and produce written and occasional films case studies and other content for use by the Fundraising and Programmes teams, supporting
- Support programme teams wishing to undertake communications activities as part of a grant/funded project; ensure that institutional donors’ communications activities and visibility requirements are respected
- Lead on emergency communications, in close coordination with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development
- Champion and monitor the use of RedR brand and style guidelines; to develop messaging guidelines and ensure they are adhered to across the organisation and to support other departments to develop their messaging and material.
Additional
- Lead and coordinate the drafting of RedR’s Annual Report, liaising with staff across the organisation for input
- Contribute to the development of the fundraising and engagement strategy
- Occasionally support colleagues from the BD & Fundraising and Programmes teams to produce project reports for institutional donors and/or trusts and foundations
- Embrace the charity’s vision and values whilst continually seeking ways to build stronger and long-lasting initiatives that help bring values to life
- Keep up to date with sector developments, best practice initiatives and relevant training; proactively strengthen understanding of key sector themes including learning and development, and trends within RedR’s thematic areas
- Identify ways of streamlining processes and improving ways of working within the charity

Essential
- Experience working in the charity sector
- Demonstrable experience covering a broad range of communication methods, such as:
- Interviewing/sourcing/writing/editing case studies, impact stories, social media posts, newsletters, blogs, and speeches
- Building a case for support
- Using a Content Management System (CMS)
- Strong digital skills and an awareness of the importance of digital information in the sector.
- Knowledge of a broad range of communications activities (e.g. websites, marketing, social media, publications)
- Experience maintaining websites and social media, including producing effective content
- Excellent organisational skills and an ability to assess opportunities and challenges and then prioritise.
- Ability to research and identify communications opportunities
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in written work
- Ability to work well with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds
- Up to date knowledge of key humanitarian or development issues and trends and

More than one in four children are growing up in poverty in the UK. It doesn’t have to be this way. The new UK government has announced its plans to develop a strategy to tackle child poverty, something that Child Poverty Action Group has led the way in calling for.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to play a pivotal role in delivering change for the 4.3 million children growing up in poverty. You will have a demonstrable track record in securing six figure and multi annual grants primarily from trusts, foundations and/or the National Lottery.
You will have the ability to work confidently as a creative and analytical problem solver, and a hands-on fundraiser. CPAG’s fundraised income has grown significantly, and the team raises nearly £3 million annually.
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of fundraising income generation, and leading and supporting a small fundraising team. You will be able to build and nurture relationships with funders, donors and other stakeholders, and have excellent communication skills.

About the Role:
This new position will drive our income generation efforts through various channels and initiatives. Who we are looking for:
Someone with substantial and demonstrable experience of working with corporates within FTSE 250 and the commercial sector. This includes proactively acquiring new partnerships and maximising existing relationships, including how to access the decision makers.
Have excellent presentation and negotiating skills, representing the charity in a range of settings and to a range of audiences.
Be a self-starter with strong sales and influencing skills, Able to work independently in particular in developing corporate fundraising products and tools.
Degree in Business, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in income/revenue generation, fundraising, or new business sales, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and best practices.

The Vacancy
The Methodist Church is at an exciting point in the development of its ministry with young adults (18-30). We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and passion for seeing young adults connect with God and explore their calling as a follower of Christ.
This role is integral to the delivery of the Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, and will focus on the following priorities:
- The management, development and advocacy of a new Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for young adults to be employed (or volunteer) in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits where they can explore their vocation.

The Role

Your first job will be to draft our Social Media and Creative Communications Plan, setting out the key opportunities, milestones and targets for the next few years.
You’ll be responsible for developing our brand presence across multiple social media platforms. You’ll manage authentic, highly-engaging campaigns that delight our community, creating emotional connections and delivering results.

Job Purpose
Working across fundraising and communications you will develop and manage your own portfolio of existing Trusts and Foundations, community and individual donors, and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on producing high-quality applications and reports to funders and by providing excellent account management and cross-team collaboration. Trust Fundraising

Develop, manage, and maintain a trust and foundations fundraising portfolio with a clear, scheduled pipeline of funding applications, coordinating opportunities and team resources to meet targets.

About LawWorks
What we do
LawWorks is the operating name of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group. We are a charity, and our aim is to enable access to justice through supporting and developing the contribution of legal pro bono.
With support from the Law Society of England and Wales, we encourage, facilitate and celebrate pro bono across the solicitor profession and at law schools in England and Wales.
Who we work with
We work primarily with solicitors (firms and in-house teams), and also with law schools and law students, and other legal and non-legal volunteers and organisations.
LawWorks has around 150 member organisations including some of the largest City firms and international firms with an office in London, national, regional and local firms, in-house teams, law schools and charities.
Who we are
LawWorks is a relatively small organisation with 18 members of staff (5 full-time) and a small team of volunteers and interns. We operate a flexible working policy, with several members of staff working hybrid, or where appropriate, from home.
We are a busy and (for our size) complex charity, with a friendly team, a positive ethos and a commitment to doing all we can to ensure LawWorks is a strong and efficient organisation and a great place to work.
Our projects
There are a number of key strands to our work to support and facilitate pro bono:

we support a growing network of around 300 local independent pro bono advice clinics across England and Wales. We work with lawyers, advice agencies, charities and others to establish or develop new clinics, and provide ongoing information and support, training and resources, for clinic volunteers and coordinators;

our Not-for-Profits Programme facilitates the provision of free legal advice for smaller charities and not-for-profit organisations, supported by volunteer lawyers from LawWorks’ members;
-
our Secondary Specialisation Programme supports the development of more ‘in-depth’ pro bono in areas of social welfare law. This currently includes an unpaid wages project and ‘Voices for Families’, with the charity Together for Short Lives, supporting parents and carers of children with life-limiting conditions;

we support collaborative projects including: Pro Bono Connect: a project which facilitates barristers and solicitors working together on pro bono cases; the Domestic Abuse Response Alliance and IP Pro Bono.

we have launched new online tools and digital platforms including a website called ‘Free Legal Answers’ and the Pro Bono Portal UK (with Justice Connect, an Australian access to justice charity).
In addition to encouraging and supporting pro bono delivery, we also work to address barriers to justice and to provide a ‘policy voice’ for pro bono - for example, working to address regulatory and other barriers to pro bono volunteering, and working with our members and others to influence policy on legal aid and other aspects of access to justice.
The role
Our experience in the different regions in England and Wales has shown the valueof having staff based locally to support pro bono initiatives, develop new pro bono opportunities and to increase engagement from the local legal profession.
This role will include helping to develop and support your own set of clinics, building on existing relationships in the Southwest or North of England. You will work with our members and the local advice sector to support the development of new pro bono clinics to meet unmet legal needs. We take an innovative, tailored approach to the support we provide, and you will provide one-to one support for individual clinics, allowing you to identify and address need, providing help with insurance, regulatory queries, finding volunteers and access to online tools.
A small part of the role (1 day per week) will involve working closely with the part-time Engagement & Training Officer (Wales) focusing on expanding stakeholder engagement to increase the number of independent legal advice clinics in Wales and promote pro bono involvement by the legal profession. You will work to identify and engage new stakeholders, develop training sessions and support impact monitoring. This role will also work closely with the Clinic Support and Development Officer (Wales), who acts as the first point of contact for guidance and support for clinics in Wales.
Key priorities for this role will be:

To provide guidance and support to independent pro bono clinics registered with the LawWorks Clinics Network in the Southwest or North of England;

To increase the number of individuals in Southwest or North England provided with free legal advice at clinics in the LawWorks Clinics Network by identifying opportunities for new pro bono advice clinics, supporting local stakeholders to develop new services to meet unmet legal needs in their area;

To support and grow pro bono volunteering and LawWorks’ membership (e.g., law firms and in-house legal teams);

To identify the training needs of LawWorks’ members, clinics and their volunteers in Southwest or North England, working with colleagues to arrange regional training and other events.

We are looking for a confident networker who is able to identify opportunities andestablish new partnerships. All of LawWorks’ work is delivered through partnerships so it is essential that the candidate is personable, collaborative and an effective communicator.
A background in the legal or advice sector will be an advantage, but not essential - training and support will be provided for someone from another sector who is passionate about pro bono and access to justice and willing to learn. Experience of managing multiple projects and seeing them through to completion will also be an advantage.
The role offers variety, autonomy, the opportunity to help develop new initiatives from idea to launch, and a chance to support local communities and volunteer lawyers.
The position will be predominantly home based, with some travel throughout the Southwest or North of England, and occasional travel to LawWorks’ office in central London.

Key task areas and duties

To develop relationships with law firms, legal teams, free legal advice clinics and other relevant stakeholders to identify their needs, plans and priorities in relation to pro bono.

To facilitate sharing between stakeholders in the region to identify best practice, local opportunities for collaborative working and local training and support needs, and to assist in taking these forward.

Support LawWorks’ clinic development work in the region, in line with annual support and development targets.

As the first point of contact for our stakeholders in the Southwest or North, support clinics and members with troubleshooting queries, accessing resources and ensuring that contact information and website content related to their services is kept up to date.

To work with the wider LawWorks team to support member recruitment and the delivery of local engagement events.

To work with clinics in the region to support data collection, evaluation and impact assessment for internal and donor purposes and to inform policy.
