Background
The West Yorkshire Carer Breaks (WYCB) project is a new initiative (based on the Respitality model in Scotland). The project will source free, high-quality breaks for unpaid carers, from hospitality, tourism, culture and leisure businesses across the region. Local carers organisations and other delivery partners will then match these breaks to unpaid carers.
The Role
This role will be responsible for the planning, set up and delivery of this project. They will also manage the WYCB Co-ordinator.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
· overseeing the development of a new name, brand and a digital platform (to which carer breaks will be uploaded);
· building relationships with hospitality, tourism, culture and leisure businesses across West Yorkshire to source donated carer breaks; and
· leading on the development and delivery of a marketing and communications plan to promote the project to key stakeholders
The postholder will need to have a proven track record of planning, setting up and managing projects. They must be able to work across different stakeholder groups and sectors to create successful working relationships. The postholder needs to have strong marketing and communications skills and be digitally competent.

Purpose of the Role
You will be reporting to and working closely with the Business Development Manager to grow and develop the number of White Ribbon Accredited organisations, and workplaces using our training programmes. The White Rose Forest Development Manager is a new role that will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new fundraising function and strategy for the White Rose Forest, with support from the White Rose Forest Programme Director, the wider White Rose Forest team, partners and other stakeholders.
We are looking for a confident and experienced fundraiser who can draw on their previous record of success in a similar role to build relationships with a range of potential funders and secure the best opportunities to grow our non-Government project and unrestricted income. From setting up a charitable function for the White Rose Forest to developing our fundraising strategy, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape this new role. You will also be able to call on the expertise and experience within the Community Forest Trust and our England’s Community Forests network to support your work.
The Development Manager will be employed through the Community Forest Trust on behalf of the White Rose Forest and will work as part of the WRF core team. The post holder will have access to all systems available to the wider team, and training opportunities as required.
The Development Manager, as with all members of the central WRF team, will work from home without an office base. However, there is the requirement to attend monthly meetings in locations spread across North and West Yorkshire and at other times as required by the needs of the organisation. Role Summary
Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. Now it stands on the vibrant and exciting regenerated south bank of the Thames surrounded by cultural venues such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market, the offices of major companies as well as schools and diverse residential communities. The Cathedral’s mission, ministry and musical tradition are core to its life as a Cathedral and a parish church serving the community. It also relies on the valuable financial contribution made by its income generating activities such as its shop, café, conference rooms, corporate events and concerts. It is a very busy place, attracting 200,000 visitors a year to the Cathedral, its churchyard and medieval herb garden. The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide support to the Chief Operation Officer (COO) to assist them in the effective functioning of all governance, human resources and operational arrangements at the Cathedral.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support for the COO
- Lead the coordination, preparation, planning and follow up for the COO’s briefing for and attendance at meetings associated with the governance of the Cathedral, including Chapter, Finance Committee, Audit & Risk Committee, Nominations Committee, Fabric Advisory Committee and Board of Enterprises.
- Undertake research and assisting in the drafting and review of papers for such meetings. Minute taking will not usually be required (but may be requested from time to time in liaison with members of staff usually responsible for the minutes);
- Support the COO in all their working relationships including building and maintaining excellent relationships with Chapter Members and Committee Members, the Bishop’s staff and with the wider Diocese, as well as with neighbours, contractors, commercial partners and professional advisers;
- Draft briefs and management reports;

HR
Recruitment
Support the COO with co-ordination of recruitment for new Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral Enterprises Limited staff, in line with Safer Recruitment best practice;
- Co-ordinate the creation of job descriptions with direction from the COO & Director of HR, in liaison with the relevant Head of Department and line manager for the role being recruited;
- Manage the Cathedral’s recruitment processes – identifying platforms for advertisement, arranging short-listing and interview panels, featuring on shortlisting panels where required;
- Lead with preparations for interview – book rooms, invite candidates to interview, arrange testing and advise on test materials where needed, prepare and advise on interview questions;
- Where required, take part in interview panels;

Human Resources Administration for Staff
- Manage the Cathedral’s digital HR system (Mentor) – be responsible for creating and updating staff profiles, setting up each new leave year, monitoring annual leave & sick leave (reporting on these for KPI and audit purposes where necessary) and being the point of contact for staff who have queries on how to use the system;
- Communicate staff annual leave entitlement and respond to staff queries on leave;
- Support the Finance team with provision of HR information pertaining to the annual audit and insurance cover, e.g. staff numbers, requested contracts, annual leave summaries;
- Assist the COO with drafting of HR documentation/correspondence;

Terms and Conditions
Working Hours
The working hours shall be 35 per hours a week, exclusive of meal breaks. Some out of hours working will be required to support meetings and events and this will be notified in advance. Time off in lieu will be awarded in line with Southwark Cathedral’s policy.
Annual Leave
25 days paid leave per annum including statutory bank holidays and an extra day at Christmas.
Probation
The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period.
Season ticket loan
Once the probationary period has been completed satisfactorily, the person appointed will be eligible to take out a season ticket loan.
Pension
The person appointed will be eligible to join a defined contributions pension scheme managed by the Church Workers Pension Fund. The Cathedral will contribute half of the annual premium of 10% of salary.

A day in the life
- Translate clients’ strategic visions into media objectives and KPIs to accomplish a wide range of client objectives including direct response (lead gen and fundraising), awareness, persuasion, and advocacy.

Some things we're looking for
- 6-8 years experience in a hands-on paid media planning and buying role using a mix of digital channels (Social, Search, Display, Video, Audio, etc)
- Demonstrated experience translating client business goals into cohesive media strategies and specific KPIs, and a record executing campaigns that delivered on those goals.

Our full Maths and English programme builds on the positive habits fostered by our reading log. It replaces traditional Maths and English homework with fun activities which have parent-child interaction at their heart. Through behavioural insight research, innovative technology and teacher training we ensure that as many families as possible are supported effectively.
We are working to improve parental engagement across the sector, by producing evidence of parents’ impact and generating insights into how schools can best support them. Learnings are disseminated through the Parental Engagement Forum and amplified through the Fair Education Alliance.

About the Role
Learning with Parents is recruiting for a School Partnership Manager to work closely with the Schools Team to develop partnerships with new schools and support them as they launch our programme. As School Partnership Manager, you will have a key role supporting schools through our Learning with Parents programme to ensure learning spans a meaningful partnership across schools and homes.
We are scaling the number of schools who use our Reading Log in September. To ensure the success of this exciting development, we are increasing the capacity of our Schools Team to engage with new schools and onboard them onto our programmes.

About the Role
This exciting new role provides an excellent opportunity to help shape and deliver our approach to fundraising, helping to ensure that St Nicks can continue our vital work in supporting planet, people and nature. As the sole fundraiser and reporting directly to the chief executive officer, you will be given the autonomy to shape and develop and deliver on all aspects of our unrestricted fundraising, building key relationships with existing and new supporters and maximising support from community, corporate and individual supporters.
