The Head of Development will support Matthew Bourne’s artistic vision by leading on the development and delivery of the New Adventures Fundraising Strategy to maximise voluntary income, particularly through Trusts and Foundations and Major Gifts. The post holder will work proactively to identify, cultivate engage and maintain excellent relationships with new and current donors and supporters as well as supporting the cultivation and stewardship of Corporate Supporters. 

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising and Events Officer. In this role you will be responsible for driving, creating and implementing our short and long-term fundraising and events strategy. The role will involve a close working relationship with our Operations Officer and our Board of Trustees. Post introduction
The Media Assistant supports delivering communications, projects, and events based on
the wider CCX organisational vision for the Media Team. It is their role to work closely with
the communications specialist and other relevant stakeholders to ensure information is
collated and circulated promptly across multiple platforms and business apps and assist
with community management and scheduling of social assets. Additionally, this role will
support project and event delivery, assisting with compiling project reports, tracking ticket
sales and ensuring that any information, assets or files are stored correctly and kept up to
date.
They are expected to perform duties with a high degree of independence, initiative, and
judgement, including knowing when to resolve issues and challenges directly and when to
escalate.

This is a full-time role, but part-time will be considered.

There is an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian under Part 1,

Duties and Accountabilities

Principal
● Social - management of organisational business apps used to plan, schedule and
post social assets across CCX social channels; overseeing community management -
responding to any messages and supporting growth of our CCX community and
followers.
● Emails - collate information to create, schedule and deliver weekly/monthly emails;
monitor CCX inboxes and respond accordingly; update relevant external
communications teams and events pages
● Website - update and monitor to ensure correct information is communicated and that
the CCX branding is adhered to
● Stories - support the effective delivery of stories to the right audiences across CCX
communication channels.
● Events—Support and collaborate with the Events team to ensure necessary
communications are included and delivered on time, as well as any production help
when required. Monitor event ticket sales on digital platforms such as Eventbrite and
administer the use of promotional codes.
● Internal communications - support delivering press releases and internal
communications in collaboration with the Content team.

Secondary
● Team and Stakeholders - collaborate, gather relevant information and ensure an
ongoing exchange of information.

General
● Maintain positive and productive relationships with key internal and external
stakeholders of the Church of England, demonstrating an understanding of
stakeholder perspectives.

The Facilities Technician Role:

We’re looking for someone to join our team as a facilities Technician to help us to take care of our buildings and support the wider Facility operation to ensure we a providing a responsive and cost-effective service. Key responsibilities as our Facilities Technician:

• Support the Maintenance manager in providing a high standard of repair and maintenance across multi trades to ensure the most cost-effective completion of all tasks.
• Be proactive around the sites in fault finding, hazard reporting, diagnosing faults
• Undertake compliance actions, monitoring, planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on building or estate related system and infrastructure.
• Self-manage and prioritise workload ensuring building access is arranged and materials ordered, and job systems updated as required to ensure relevant information is captured.
• To be thoroughly familiar with building fabric, plant and equipment and monitor as required

What we are looking for in our Facilities Technician:

• Working knowledge of building services and hot & cold piped systems
• Working knowledge of Statutory and Legislative requirements and Codes of Practice for relevant trade
• Current industry training such as legionella awareness, asbestos awareness, COSHH, H&S, Manual handling, working at height, abrasive wheels, fire marshal and first aid
• Ability to fault find and complete appropriate repairs, modifications and identify areas of Improvement
• Ability to embrace digital systems work logging and reporting of work tasks. 
• Full driving Licence and happy to travel for work

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference through the playing a vital role in our Philanthropy Team. 
Reporting to the Senior Philanthropy Manager this role is responsible for working alongside their line manager, wider team and operational colleagues to write and support applications to trusts and foundations for funding.

Education Project Officer

Working on a variety of education-related projects and areas of work as required, example responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development of content for British Science Week Activity Packs and liaising with partner organisations. 

About you
You're a confident, organised and curious person, who is able to manage their own time and workload flexibly. A team-player, you are looking to gain experience working on projects in the charity or STEM education and engagement sectors.

Ideally you will have worked with schools/young people, and you will be comfortable working across all our programmes, transferring your time, skills and energy to different projects and priorities at different times.

You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of programmes, and willing and able to learn new IT/digital skills.

Above all you will have a passion for young people and giving all young people (regardless of background) the skills, inspiration and opportunity to feel like STEM is for them.​

As part of this role, you will provide care and cultivation of In Memory donors, Legacy pledgers and enquirers by acting as first point of contact for these supporters and delivering ongoing one-to-one stewardship across various touchpoints. As part of the Legacy & In Memory Fundraising Team, you will contribute to achieving the team's aims and objectives through undertaking key administrative tasks and assisting with the delivery of the team’s projects including marketing campaigns, supporter events and internal promotion of messages to a range of audiences and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate with a range of internal and external audiences, a high standard of computer literacy, and a passion for delivering excellent supporter care.

• Ensure the compliance of the fundraising, marketing and retail teams against all relevant codes of practice and legislation, e.g.: the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, Health and Safety, Data Protection, Gift Aid, and local councils.

• Operate as a key member of the Income Strategy Committee, leading on governance and compliance matters in relation to income generation, ensuring processes are communicated to all appropriate departments

• The development and delivery of organisational strategy and cross-organisation working whilst maintaining personal visibility as a member of the Senior Management Team

• Preparation and presentation of  timely reports, information and advice on all relevant income generation matters to the Chief Executive, Trustees and the Senior Management Team

• Support the Chief Executive and the Head of Finance with annual budget setting process whilst managing/monitoring retail budgets and income generation for the Charity.

• Monitor, evaluate and improve income generation strategies via maximising the effectiveness of the inhouse CRM system

This wide ranging role would suit a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate a strong track record of working at a senior level to successfully develop and implement a wide variety of innovative charitable income generation strategies across a range of fundraising channels. Your role will be to develop and deliver our programme of social and physical activities for people aged 50+ across Sandwell. You will also work with the programme manager to design and implement evaluation systems to demonstrate the impact social and physical activities have on the wellbeing of older people.

Age UK Birmingham & Sandwell provides a range of services and programmes for people aged 50 and over.

The Sandwell Community Support programme is dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation amongst older people through the provision of social and physical activities across Sandwell.

Principal Duties:

· To develop new social and physical activities for older people

· To engage with older people to understand their aspirations for activities and develop community offer in response

· To prepare material and actively promote the activities of the programme to citizens, partners, and other stakeholders

· To maintain accurate and confidential records of all activities and outcomes

· To develop contacts, links, and relationships with other programmes such as NNS

· To represent the team at external meetings where appropriate

· To work with the Line Manager to achieve targets to meet funding contract requirements

· Risk assesses working environments as appropriate in line with AUKB’s Health & Safety policy

· To support volunteers assisting the service

· Make referrals/signpost to Age UK Birmingham and Sandwell colleagues and other appropriate agencies and organisations for specialist support

· Report all incidents and accidents promptly to the Line Manager

The role will need to heavily engage and work alongside the different business areas to deliver the position's requirements.

· Good understanding of various data types and data structures.

· Good knowledge of full-text search engines and how Elasticsearch works.

· Utilisation of data management toolsets such as Reveal.

· Knowledge of legislative & regulatory areas and what this means for data management.
