Role Overview 

You will be integral to achieving our strategic priorities of generating income through repeat support, and providing exceptional supporter journeys for our community, ensuring they feel valued and engaged. 

The role involves providing excellent customer care and engaging, involving and inspiring all supporters of Crohn’s and Colitis UK through building excellent relationships via a variety of communication channels. The post-holder will be integral to achieving strategic Income Generation priorities, including raising funds from supporters through exceptional standards of supporter stewardship, and to deliver administrative support for the wider team. 

About You 

You will have experience of working in a similar role, providing a high standard of customer care in a fast-paced environment, handling supporter queries and providing information in a concise and comprehensive manner. You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills to write engaging and inspiring content and messaging, you'll also be skilled at listening and responding to queries appropriately and be comfortable and effective at managing challenging situations. 

You will have the ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines whilst taking ownership of problems to find a solution where possible, escalating to a manager where required.

Our Location 

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although you will need to be in the office for two days a week minimum. There will also be other times when you’ll need to be in the office for fulfilment tasks or to attend meetings such as our ‘All Staff Together’ days four times a year and you will also be required to attend fundraising events.

Job details

Hours: 37.5 per week.

Work pattern: Usually Monday to Friday working during office hours with occasional weekends and out of hours work, however we do operate very flexibly.

Education:

• Essential: A recognised accountancy qualification (preferably ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust Team Members, this is an exciting role leading on the delivery and development of creative and exciting literacy initiatives and an ambitious Reading Strategy at HMP Stoke Heath, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role is subject to contract award and will be prison-based.

The role

The post holder will be responsible for managing Foxglove’s legal team and legal work. You will drive forward a range of cases, including the development of case theories, investigating and collecting evidence, drafting correspondence, evidence and submissions. Length and Salary

The role is permanent. The annual salary is £70,075 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

Our team works remotely, and this role can be based anywhere. We would prefer you to work within or close to UK office hours, but this is flexible. Our team travels every two months for team days and twice a year for team retreats. The new role of Special Events Assistant will give you the opportunity to support the team in planning and delivering engaging events that highlight our clients' stories and the impact of our work, inspiring audiences to start or continue their support. Your role will include assisting with the planning and delivery of events, maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing event communications and collateral, processing data accurately and securely. This role offers a chance to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact. Other key responsibilities include:

• Assist with the planning and delivery of special events, working closely with the Special Events and Celebrity Engagement Manager.
• Work with teams across St Mungo’s, including our Philanthropy and Partnerships teams, to help create and deliver engaging events for donors and partners that contribute to achieving wider team objectives.
• Provide excellent supporter care and customer service, responding to event enquiries and co-ordinating event communications.
• Provide admin support to the Special Events function, ensuring the database (Raiser’s Edge NXT) is accurately maintained and up to date for events, and you’ll assist with reporting and gathering insights post-event.
• Follow fundraising best practices, adhere to St Mungo’s policies, and contribute to a supportive team culture.

About you

We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to learning and a passion for making a difference. You might already be in a similar role, have some previous experience in organising events or may be looking to bring transferable skills and a willingness to learn, to the role. • Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage your own time and a variety of tasks in a busy team environment.

Role Purpose

The Social Media Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing Dialogue Earth’s digital presence by implementing a dynamic and evolving social media strategy. Working closely with the Social Media Content Creator and international team members, the post-holder will ensure content is disseminated effectively across various platforms, with a strong focus on audience engagement and alignment with audience personas. They will also be responsible for developing campaigns, overseeing social media analytics, and presenting insights in engaging ways to support the organisation’s mission of promoting awareness and dialogue on environmental and climate change issues.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Social Media Content Creator to develop and implement Dialogue Earth’s evolving global social media strategy.
• Work with Dialogue Earth’s editorial teams in the UK, China, South Asia, Latin America, and Southeast Asia to promote content effectively and innovatively on platforms, including Bluesky, X, WhatsApp, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others as needed.

Further Information and Benefits
