We're looking for an inspiring and experienced leader for the Head of Information Services, to provide strategic oversight and management of Cancer Research UK's information services. Our online cancer information is one of the most widely trusted sources in the UK, with more than 30 million people accessing it each year, while our helpline and Cancer Chat provide a much-needed service for people affected by cancer. This role will be responsible for continued improvement and transformation of the service responding to audience needs and digital trends.

What will I be doing?
Oversee the provision of high quality, accessible and impactful information services to patients and the public, including the nurse helpline, About Cancer website, Cancer Chat and clinical trials information.
Provide strategic direction to ensure CRUK uses innovative approaches to differentiate content to meet audience needs and responds to digital trends for continued improvement or transformation of its information provision across multiple channels.
Act as a key SME on cancer patient experience and information user needs, using data to advise senior leaders and teams across CRUK (including press), representing or providing the clinical expertise and knowledge of the team.
Provide functional leadership to the patient information teams
Support the Director of Information & Involvement and I&I leadership peers with shared accountability for the implementation of the department's strategic objectives inclusive of culture and engagement.
Work in a cross-organisational senior leadership team to shape and deliver information journeys and increased personalisation, as part of CRUK's Engage digital transformation programme, leading to deeper engagement, brand and fundraising benefits
What are you looking for?
Knowledge of information seeking with an understanding of how to target, build engagement with, and evaluate content and services.

Purpose of the role

Tenebrae is one of the world’s leading vocal ensembles, renowned for its core values of passion and precision. Since the choir began in 2001, we have aimed to move and inspire audiences all over the world through dramatic programming and immersive experiences.
The choir performs around 60 concerts each year across the UK, Europe, the US and further afield, including at some of the world’s most prestigious concert venues and festivals. Alongside its busy concert and recording schedule, the ensemble delivers a rapidly growing Learning & Connection programme, working with hundreds of children, young people and amateur singers across schools and other community settings. In the past 5 years Tenebrae’s programme of activities has grown considerably, but in order to maintain this we now need to grow all areas of our fundraising. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to make a transformational difference to Tenebrae’s artistic scope and financial sustainability as we approach our 25th anniversary in the 2026-27 season.
The Development Manager will be responsible for:
- Working with the CEO to refresh and implement our 3-year fundraising strategy;
- Fundraising from Trusts, Foundations, individuals and corporates to support the charity’s core costs as well as artistic and educational initiatives;
- Working with our Development Board to identify new challenges and opportunities.

Location
After an initial period of office-based training, we are happy to consider flexible and remote working in order to facilitate other commitments such as caring responsibilities, although ideally you will be based in our office in Hammersmith for at least 2 days per week.
Hours
We are advertising this as a full-time position at 35 hours per week plus a one-hour lunch break each day. However, for the right candidate we would be happy to discuss the possibility of working part-time (4 days per week) or compressed hours. Our standard office hours are 09:30 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. On occasion you may be required to attend weekend or evening events, for which you will be entitled to time off in lieu (TOIL).

About the role
As the #iwill Business Support Officer, you will be helping to grow a UK wide movement of youth social action, where young people are equipped and enabled to shape change in their own lives and communities. You will be part of the #iwill coordination hub team, working alongside colleagues in Volunteering Matters and #iwill partner UK Youth to ensure that #iwill projects and programme activities are effectively coordinated, appropriately resourced, compliant and have the information and tools they need to run effectively.
