Prospectus is excited to be working with the international animal welfare organisation, The Brooke, to help them recruit for a Senior Acquisition and Welcome Officer. Since it was founded in 1934, the Brooke has helped to relieve the suffering of millions of working horses, donkeys and mules and improved the livelihoods of the countless people who depend upon them. Dedicated to improving some of the world's poorest communities, The Brooke supports training, treatment and programmes across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

This role is offered on a full-time permanent basis with a salary of £38,491 per annum to work in a flexible hybrid model between home and their Central London Office.

The Senior Acquisition and Welcome Officer plays an integral role, managing key acquisition channels including DRTV and inserts, to support ambitious supporter growth as part of their 5-year strategy. They will help optimise acquisition activity as they scale up investment in this area. In addition to leading DRTV, this role also involves delivering a variety of other important activity as required, such as inserts and welcome journeys.

They are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent communication, campaign management and analytical skills. They are looking for a candidate with some experience working on DRTV is required and confident in working with data to monitor and share results using excel and/or dashboards, with attention to detail and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for international development and understands digital fundraising, acquisition, DRTV, and telemarketing.

· Execute the commercial marketing plan as set out by Head of Income Generation, including email campaigns, creating copy, supporting with social media activity and planning events.

About the Role

The primary focus of the Grants Officer is to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively and to promote, grow and deliver this and other JPF grant programmes across London and Essex. Although the geographical remit of each Grants officer can change on occasion, it is anticipated that this role will be responsible for the London Boroughs across North West and South West London, plus uniform youth groups who deliver their activities cross-borough.

The Achievement Award scheme is JPF’s flagship programme, with almost 2000 schemes in over 1400 schools, colleges and youth organisations across London and Essex. Through the programme, we invest millions of pounds each year to support young people and youth work. This is an amazing chance for you to have a big impact. The Achievement Award Scheme enables schools, colleges and youth organisations to recognise, reward and celebrate young people’s achievements. The post holder will manage delivery of the scheme and associated small grants in an assigned area of London and/or Essex. They will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with schools and youth organisations in a dedicated area of London or Essex. The role will involve significant travel to visit schools and youth organisations, as well as outreach and community engagement work to identify and support new groups to apply to join our small grants schemes. This work will also include evenings and occasional weekend work, especially to support our Achievement Award celebration events.

The successful candidate would therefore be someone who has flexibility to travel, work out-of-office hours, enjoys building local relationships and public speaking, as well as navigating a busy grants and assessment caseload (desk-based processing, telephone calls/emails, and regular use of a database). It could be a great role for someone living in North West or South West London.

You will possess an eye for detail, good administration skills and the ability to communicate confidently and present a positive external profile for the charity. This is a busy and satisfying role, with each Grants Officer leading relationships with between 350-400 organisations.

Evening and weekend work is a requirement to meet the demands of this role, which on occasion can require up to 2-3 evenings in one week, depending on the event schedule. Time off in lieu will be granted for additional hours worked.

Main Areas of Responsibility

1. To develop, manage and promote the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme and other JPF opportunities.

1.1. Identify schools and youth organisations not currently running the scheme and proactively promote the Achievement Award (AA) scheme to them, following up as required.
1.2 Receive, assess and process all grant applications to join the AA scheme, in accordance with JPF policies and procedures.
1.3 Attend, participate and assist with delivery of Achievement Award celebration events (usually evenings), including making a speech to congratulate the young people.

2. Quality Assurance for the Jack Petchey Achievement Award Scheme

2.1 Support schools and youth organisations on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award (AA) scheme to operate the scheme to the highest possible standard.
2.2 Implement a programme of face-to-face and digital monitoring visits to schools and youth organisations in your area on the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme, to ensure that JPF funding is well spent and to identify opportunities to improve delivery.
2.3 Provide timely support to organisations so they are able to run the AA scheme effectively.
2.4 Organise and deliver digital and in-person events to support schools and youth organisations to operate the Jack Petchey Achievement Award scheme effectively.

3. To administer the Jack Petchey Foundation grant making process

3.1 Ensure accurate records are kept on the Foundation’s database (Salesforce), including up-to-date contact details and records of communication with groups in receipt of or applying for grants.
3.2 Approve/authorise payment of AA grants and related programmes in accordance with JPF policies.
3.3 Ensure appropriate grant reporting by schools and youth organisations and negotiate return of funds where a grant has not been used in accordance with conditions.
3.4 Proactively manage risk, being alert to potential fraud.
3.5 Ensure that clubs and groups receive all necessary materials to operate the Achievement Award scheme effectively. 3.6 Assess and approve Leader Award Grant, Educational Visit Grant and Environmental Grant applications in accordance with JPF policy.
3.7 Provide regular reports on the work for the Head of Grants Team, Chief Executive Officer and the JPF Board as required.

4. To promote the wider work of the Jack Petchey Foundation to schools and youth groups

4.1 Identify case studies and other stories and material that can be used for JPF communications, supporting communications team colleagues to raise awareness of our opportunities and impact.
4.2 Represent JPF at digital and physical events, local networks, funders’ fairs, and community or young people’s forums to help promote JPF’s small grant programmes and other opportunities.
4.3 Support and promote JPF’s partnership programmes, for example the Jack Petchey’s Speak Out Challenge, Step into Dance, Panathlon and First Give.
4.4 Contribute to the review of any small grant programmes as requested by the Head of Grants Team.
4.5 Assist with digital and face-to-face monitoring and reporting in relation to groups that have received a JPF Project Grant or other JPF funding. 

5 Other Responsibilities
5.1 Actively contribute to Grants and JPF Team meetings.
5.2 Take a lead on specific projects as agreed within the Grants Team.
5.3 Contribute to the assessment of other grant programmes as requested by the Head of Grants Team.
5.4 Provide telephone/email support and advice about JPF funding streams to existing grantees or potential applicants.
5.5 Work at all times within the policies, procedures and values of the Jack Petchey Foundation, in particular safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection policies.

These are the normal duties requires of the position. However, it is important that all staff are prepared to be flexible as they will be required from time to time to perform other duties.

The post holder will work as part of the wider team from the Jack Petchey Foundation headquarters in Canary Wharf with some home working possible within the framework of the JPF Hybrid Working Policy. You will be required to travel to attend visits, events and meetings, including at weekends and in the evenings. Some travel across London more widely may be required on occasion to support uniform youth groups in your portfolio who deliver their duties cross-borough around your assigned areas.

· Handling phone calls and emails coming into the service, ensuring we are always taking a holistic and responsive approach to dealing with enquiries.

Frazzled Cafe is a small mental health and wellbeing charity founded by Ruby Wax OBE, that provides a safe environment where people who are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed by the stresses of modern life can meet to talk and share their personal stories. 

We run our free meetings online every single day of the year for anyone who needs them, and anyone can book and be included to talk, share, listen and to feel heard.

We're looking for a confident and positive self starter with a high level of emotional intelligence and brilliant communication skills to be our new Project Support and Administrative Officer.

The role will develop and implement Frazzled Cafe communications including managing inboxes and marketing via social media, printed materials, and newsletters. The Project and Support Administrative Officer will provide support to the CEO and Training and Programmes to plan and manage service delivery, support the recruitment, training and queries of volunteers, as well as provide day-to-day administrative support to enable the effective running of the Frazzled Cafe meetings and functions.

Frazzled Cafe runs meetings throughout the day, from early in the morning until late in the evening seven days a week – the Project Support and Administrative Officer will be responsible for scheduling these meetings and supporting our Facilitators when issues arise.

Please note that there may be some evening and weekend work expected when emergency tech or meeting issues arise. 

Main tasks:

Core Programme:

● Manage the delivery of all Frazzled Cafe meetings by being the main point of contact for day-to-day queries, managing the day to day running of core programmes, ensuring documents, schedules, records and systems are all up to date, and being on call to deal with any issues that arise.

● Respond to all public enquiries in a helpful and efficient manner

● Managing the Frazzled Cafe meetings schedule by arranging our meetings with volunteers and uploading them onto our booking website

● Design all pre- and post- volunteer meeting polls and ensure these are completed

● Hosting Ruby Wax public meetings with Ruby on Zoom

Volunteer Support:

● Support the Training and Programmes Manager in the recruitment, evaluation and training of volunteers

● Be confident in having constructive and difficult conversations via Zoom, phone and email with our stakeholders and volunteer network

● Ensure all volunteer records and training tracking is maintained and updated, and arranging training meetings

● Assess feedback forms from volunteers that may highlight problems or risks within meetings and manage these accordingly

● Support all volunteers in case of distress, queries, updates, problem solving and escalating queries to the Training and Programmes Manager when required

● Support and minute monthly volunteer meetings

Communications and Marketing:

• Manage and design social media content across Frazzled Cafe’s platforms
• Write copy for a weekly external newsletter and monthly internal bulletin
• Promote Frazzled Cafe via printed materials, social media and partner relationships
• Web management

Data and internal operations:

● Manage and oversee all data collection from the core programme meetings, including analysis and presentation of results to CEO, Training and Programmes Manager and Trustees

● Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing partners

● Support CEO and Development Manager with funding applications and relevant administration tasks

● Maintain office systems and the central filing system

● Assist colleagues whenever necessary.

Shared Responsibilities:

Individual Giving & Legacy Officer - flexible location, including hybrid or remote, with office base in Derby.

Full time role - 37 hours per week

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and play a vital role within the Fundraising team at MHA. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the individual giving programme in line with the wider strategic objectives.

To do this you will manage the direct mail appeals and online campaigns, coordinate the regular giving programme, develop the strategy for the acquisition of new supporters and retention of existing ones, and produce the twice-yearly supporter newsletter. You would also provide additional support for the legacy programme when required.

About You
We are looking for a passionate and creative individual giving fundraiser or marketeer to develop and drive forward the programme. You will have a track record of delivering against income targets and KPIs, and be experienced in delivering campaigns and activities on time and within budget.

With excellent writing and communication skills, you will be able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

As our Fundraising Lead you will work with the Fundraising Manager to increase the number of supporters and income by: 

• Developing and organising fundraising events, campaigns and community support 

• building relationships with existing and new supporters 

• recruiting, organising and inspiring volunteers 

• managing information and communications on our CRM 

• Preparing and delivering presentations 

• Spotting fundraising opportunities and raising awareness of the charity

We are looking for a Direct Marketing Officer to join our growing Individual Giving team at Samaritans. This role will assist in the creation, management and implementation of key campaigns and projects to recruit and retain supporters maximising loyalty and lifetime value.

A valued member of the team – you’ll also contribute to direct marketing projects while supporting larger, strategic initiatives led by the 3 x Senior Direct Marketing Officers in the team.

Key Responsibilities​

• Project management of direct marketing integrated campaigns across online and offline channels from project initiation, through segmentation, data/media specification, creative approach, production, fulfilment to results analysis, ensuring income and expenditure targets are met.

• Ongoing management and review of external suppliers and marketing agencies to ensure activity takes place on schedule and within budget.

• Strategic planning and donor development. Close involvement in developing long term direct marketing strategies for priority audiences.

• Integration of Fundraising and External Affairs’ activities and objectives

• Ensures all activity is run in line with best practice and compliance.
   
• Works with the Senior Direct Marketing Officers and Head of Individual Giving to develop and deliver the individual giving strategy for priority audiences.
   
• Undertake database analysis, to inform and improve the direct marketing programme.​

The Person​

You’ll have some previous experience of direct marketing campaign management across a range of channels. You’ll be able to effectively manage multiple projects and campaigns. Engaging and passionate about our cause, you’ll be a team player with excellent communication and personable skills.
