Age UK Mid Mersey has just been awarded National Lottery funding to develop and deliver evidence-based Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (MCST) group programmes for older people experiencing cognitive impairment or who are diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia. MCST is a weekly group programme for people living with mild to moderate dementia or cognitive impairment. Group members take part in meaningful and stimulating activities, proven to help maintain memory and mental functioning. The groups provide a fun, supportive environment where people can build new friendships.
The programme will be overseen by an MCST Team Leader and delivered by a team of four MCST Facilitators, who will work in delivery pairs, and two carers support workers. One MCST Facilitator pair will deliver 2 group sessions a week in Halton and Warrington and the other pair in St Helens and Knowsley.
We are recruiting four part-time MCST Facilitators who will work in delivery pairs. One pair will deliver group programmes in Halton and Warrington and be based in our Runcorn Office. The other pair will deliver programmes in St Helens and Knowsley and be based at our head office in St Helens.
The facilitators will work closely with the MCST Team Leader to plan and deliver MCST programmes in their two Boroughs. Each programme will run for 12 weeks and will consist of four-hour activity sessions with a shared lunch. Facilitators will adapt the session delivery to meet the needs and specific interests of group participants ensuring the sessions are engaging and meaningful.
Facilitators will also work closely with the carers support workers and ensure that joined up support is provided to participants and their significant others.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.
Full training in MCST will be provided alongside comprehensive induction and role specific training.

The MCST Team Leader will lead a small team of MCST group facilitators, Carer Support workers and volunteers.
The Team Leader will plan programmes, provide support and supervision to staff, and ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and standards. They will be responsible for undertaking initial assessment visits with clients in their own homes to ensure the MCST programme is appropriate for them.
Travel across Mid-Mersey is expected so the post holder must have access to their own vehicle and a full clean driving licence.

As the focal point for UK-Med’s Telehealth and Capacity Building in Sudan project (REACHES Sudan), the Project Lead will play a critical role in delivering this 10-month initiative, funded by the Sudan Humanitarian Fund and in collaboration with Relief International. The project aims to provide integrated, life-saving healthcare to vulnerable populations in Sudan through innovative remote telehealth and capacity-building interventions.
The Project Lead will focus on designing and coordinating impactful training programs for healthcare workers, ensure learning is aligned and developed based on real-time needs, and managing digital capacity building and telehealth delivery platforms. This role includes working closely with the Health Advisor and senior leadership to develop and document UK-Med’s telehealth methodology, paving the way for sustainability and future use in emergency response programming.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in learning and capacity building, preferably with experience in designing and piloting new training methodologies. Ideally you will be able to use your experience in humanitarian programming to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose, impactful and accessible in complex humanitarian emergencies. You will have excellent project management skills and the ability to adapt to evolving needs.

To support the growth in Wild Impact’s conservation and sustainable development impact, it is recruiting a UK based Senior Partnerships Manager, who will be responsible for developing and implementating a UK and W. Job Purpose

● Work with the Head of Fundraising to deliver a strategy and Ops plan that covers Community, Events, Mass, and third-party Fundraising.

● Review the portfolio of events and build new income generation opportunities for 25/26 and beyond to uplift income and grow supporter participation.

You’ll play a vital role in bringing to life 38 Degrees’ media and public affairs strategy, in service of 38 Degrees’ mission: to make our country fairer, more respectful and sustainable. As we adjust to a shift in our political environment, this brand new role will relentlessly and powerfully amplify 38 Degrees campaigns and the voices of our supporters to the general public, the media and decision makers in the UK.
Working alongside the Public Affairs & Media Manager, and with colleagues across the campaigns team and beyond you’ll spend every day trying to shine a light on the actions our supporters take on campaigns they care about. From monitoring what’s going on in Parliament – and when it’s the perfect moment for the 38 Degrees community to use our collective voices – to being able to put together media packages that are irresistible to journalists, you’ll know how to skillfully use the public affairs and media tools at our disposal to win campaigns, raise our profile and build our reputation.
Your background and experience
You’ll have a proven track record of great political and news judgement, and have played a key role in using these skills in a campaigning environment to deliver powerful campaigns that deliver impactful media and public affairs results. That could be from working in a press office or media environment, to working with (or for) a politician. It’s possible you are more experienced at either media work or public affairs work – but either way, you’ll know what it takes to use both to influence decision makers and land a big news story. We’re looking for a person who knows the political and news agenda each day, and can help set it too.
The person recruited will need to be a brilliant communicator, as at home speaking to 38 Degrees supporters and empowering them to act as media case studies, as you are pitching a story to a journalist or handling enquiries from MP’s offices.
We’re looking for someone who can show they’re highly organised, know how to prioritise and with a track record of successful project management, when it comes to partnership work and events.

The Talent Set is delighted to be partnering Pets as Therapy (PAT) to recruit a Head of Fundraising, who will play a pivotal role in delivering the new fundraising strategy and increasing income to £1.7 million.
PAT is a UK-wide charity that inspires and enables volunteers to share the joy of their pets. Every day over 4,000 people in hospitals, care homes or schools get to meet a PAT Dog or Cat. That brief visit brings the comfort and joy that only a pet can give. Over the past few years, income has increased from circa £600k to circa £1.5 million. This new role of Head of Fundraising, reporting to the CEO, will lead PAT’s fundraising and marketing work. Alongside implementing the fundraising strategy for PAT, you will personally lead the individual giving program. The post holder will also be a member of the PAT SMT (Senior Management Team).

The post will be primarily based remotely, working from home, but with access to shared office space in Camden and Monument in London. Our board of trustees meet twice a year in person in central London (and twice more online), and our Executive Director is often in London for meetings once or twice a week. Purpose of the post
HDR UK and the BHF Data Science Centre are committed to meaningful involvement and engagement where patients and the public are actively involved in shaping our work and decision-making. Reporting to the Centre’s Operations Director, this is a pivotal role that will be integral to ensuring the patient and public voice is embedded in our work at all stages.
You will work closely with public members, research and NHS communities, internal colleagues, charity partners, and funders to develop and implement plans for PPIE activity across all of our key areas of interest, in addition to the governance of the Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for meaningful involvement and engagement of patients and the public, to shape and influence our work on the safe, ethical and scientifically robust use of data for research into the causes, prevention and treatment of all diseases of the heart and circulation.
The successful candidate will have a track record in working with individuals, groups and communities and have the ability to communicate complex information in clear, engaging ways. The post holder will have excellent influencing and negotiation skills, experience of working on complex projects with multiple partners and be comfortable with working at pace. Patient and public involvement and engagement in data-driven research is a growing field. The successful candidate will show a willingness and experience of developing and delivering innovative approaches to involvement where previously opportunities may not have been obvious.
Main responsibilities
Embedding PPIE in our work
- Lead on the delivery of the PPIE strategy for the BHF Data Science Centre, with oversight from the Operations Director, incorporating regular (e.g. annual) reviews and updates of the strategy.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with public contributors to integrate meaningful PPIE throughout all aspects of our work.
- Undertake and manage specific involvement and engagement activities, including but not limited to focus groups, engagement events, developing and undertaking surveys, supporting the writing of plain English summaries of projects and their outputs. In collaboration with senior colleagues, support involvement of patients and the public in the governance of our work.
- Review and provide advice on PPIE elements of research applications ensuring adequate PPIE is incorporated and provide advice where needed to researchers.
- Develop methods to expand reach and ensure diversity of perspectives and work with the HDR UK PPIE team to grow involvement of currently underrepresented and underserved groups in health data science.
- Build and manage relationships with colleagues within the BHF Data Science Centre, working collaboratively to support and manage involvement and engagement across all areas of work.
- Work closely with the internal communications colleagues to create and disseminate engaging content (e.g. news stories on outputs and impact, videos, infographics, case studies) on our work and involvement and engagement activities using a variety of communication tools.
- Horizon scan and liaise with colleagues across the BHF Data Science Centre and HDR UK for opportunities to increase visibility of the institute’s engagement and involvement impact, i.e. through conferences, festivals, journals and other publications.
Developing PPIE best practice and collaborative working
- Incorporate best practice in our work, learning from examples of successful patient and public engagement that could influence our work
- Provide briefings for colleagues to share best practice and examples of successful patient and public engagement
- Collaborate with PPIE colleagues to coordinate public outreach initiatives and other events, ensuring that stakeholders are afforded opportunities to contribute their input and provide feedback. Establish effective working relationships and ‘ways of working’ with strategic partners to maximise opportunities for collaboration in patient and public involvement and engagement.
- Act as an internal and external ambassador for public, patient and practitioner engagement and involvement.
- Monitor and report on performance of PPIE across the Centre, make effective use of digital approaches to maximize the ability to collaborate, communicate and continuously learn.
Supporting PPIE members
- Be the point-of-contact for all BHF Data Science Centre public contributors, ensuring they are kept updated, receive all information in a timely manner and that any issues are dealt with in a sensitive manner.
- Lead on the recruitment of new public contributors as required. Adapt, develop and provide training for public contributors where necessary identifying training requirements as needed.
- Working with BHF Data Science Centre colleagues, maintain patient and public contact lists in Hubspot (CRM).
