Inter Mediate (IM) is a peacemaking charity supporting confidential negotiations in some of the world’s most challenging conflicts. The role of Personal Assistant is primarily to organise all aspects of the Executive Director (ED’s) busy schedule including diary management and travel arrangements, enabling her to focus on the overall direction, management and administration of all aspects of IM’s work. The PA also assists the Operations Director with the smooth running of IM’s office.
You will have at least 3 years of relevant experience in a small/medium charity or comparable institution. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can operate successfully in high pressure, sensitive political environments, and provide support to high-level leaders and diplomats. The role entails working across time-zones and therefore ability and willingness to be flexible around working times is essential.
You have exceptional people, organisational and diary management skills and are willing to take an “all-hands-on-deck” approach when required. Your written and spoken English are excellent.A keen interest in international relations and politics and relevant additional language skills are highly desirable.

Duties and key responsibilities
1. Trusts and Foundations
- Act as the main point of contact for trusts and foundations supporting gifts under £10,000, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support, materials, and updates to foster successful grant applications and long-term relationships.
- Identify and research new trusts and foundations whose funding priorities align with Sarcoma UK’s mission.
- Plan and coordinate the schedule of grant applications aligning with internal priorities and submission deadlines.
- Draft compelling grant applications, ensuring high-quality submissions, and coordinate the process of application tracking and reporting.
- Maintain the existing pipeline of trust fundraising activities in Raiser's Edge, monitoring progress and ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with new and existing trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy.
- Work with the Research, Policy, and Support Services teams to arrange meetings between trust representatives and Sarcoma UK funded project leads, where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure that trust and foundation-related web pages are up-to-date and engaging.
2. Fundraising Support
Merchandise
- Manage stock by overseeing merchandise stock levels, liaising with suppliers, processing orders, and ensuring smooth fulfilment of orders.
- Manage Sarcoma UK’s online shop, ensuring it is regularly updated with accurate product listings and that orders are processed efficiently, meeting supporter expectations.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative support across all fundraising activities and projects as needed by the organisation.
- Produce regular reports on fundraising activities, including data from JustGiving, Enthuse, and GoFundMe, ensuring accurate tracking and evaluation.
- Contribute to the smooth running of the organisation, assisting with general administrative tasks and ensuring processes are followed consistently.
- Monitor, evaluate and analyse fundraising activities, providing insights to inform future strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on Sarcoma UK’s fundraising database (Raiser's Edge).
Supporter Care
- Respond promptly and professionally to fundraising inquiries via post, email, and phone, offering support and guidance to donors and fundraisers.
General Fundraising Support
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager to identify new prospects within Sarcoma UK’s supporter community.
- Work with the Communications team to identify and maximise publicity opportunities, raising awareness of Sarcoma UK’s fundraising efforts.
- Provide occasional support for Major Donor fundraising activities as needed.
- Stay up to date with the latest fundraising practices and trends ensuring Sarcoma UK’s processes and procedures align with best practices.
3. Other Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Sarcoma UK’s existing and potential supporters, including contacts within trusts and foundations.
- The role may require occasional travel to events and meetings across the UK, including some evening or weekend work, for which Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) will be provided.

ShareAction’s Financial Sector Research (FSR) team researches a variety of sectors’ performance and publishes regular rankings and analysis, as well as engaging with each surveyed institution and providing them with detailed recommendations for improvement. The FSR team also supports other campaign teams within ShareAction by providing relevant data and increasingly aims to share more data externally, too.
What you’ll do
The Senior Research Officer will contribute to this research, collecting information from institutions and databases, analysing quantitative and qualitative data, producing engaging content, and translating this analysis into actionable steps for institutions in our reports.
The focus of this role is to support the production and publication of our survey of the European banking sector. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in both the Financial Sector Research and the Banking Standards teams to:
- Develop a methodology that is consistent with other financial sector benchmarks published by ShareAction, reflects recent market developments, draws on internal and external subject matter expertise, and reflects our campaign priorities.
- Collect, audit and analyse data regarding banks’ climate and sustainability strategies.
- Produce accurate and engaging written reports and data visualisations summarising the key findings of the research and drafting credible and persuasive recommendations.
- Support the presentation of the survey’s findings to banks, investors, funders, and the media.
- Contribute to responses to external consultations from regulators, policymakers, and other NGOs and support data sharing with external partners as appropriate.
The survey and benchmark of the European banking sector will be led by the Banking Programme team, with support from the Financial Sector Research team. This role will sit within the Financial Sector Research team, to benefit from the experience and processes already established for ShareAction’s asset management and insurance benchmarks. While you will focus on the survey of the European banking sector, there will be an opportunity to contribute to and learn about the other financial sector benchmarks as part of this role.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing quantitative and qualitative data and writing reports on banks’ responsible finance performance.
- Coordinating between the Financial Sector Research and Banking Standards teams to ensure consistency across ShareAction’s financial sector benchmarks.
- Conducting research across the themes covered by the benchmarks that draws on internal and external resources to inform survey development and data analysis.
- Using Excel and Python to analyse and organise large data sets (training will be provided for Python if needed).
- Participating in engagement calls with banks and answering technical questions relating to the research content.
- Presenting findings of our work to external and internal stakeholders through blogs, presentations, webinars, and roundtables and supporting the coordination of these events as appropriate.
- Organising and planning work with a high level of autonomy.
- Supporting the monitoring, evaluation and learning of our work.
- Contributing to funding bids and reporting on KPIs to funders where appropriate.

We are recruiting two Mentoring Project Officers to support the Project Manager in delivering our high-quality 1-year Mentoring Programme that supports young carers aged 14-16 to achieve goals tailored to their needs. Each cohort will be delivered through a combination of 1:1 mentoring and monthly groups with a maximum of 8 mentees and 2 mentors. The programme aims to help the mentees improve their educational attainment, identify routes into further and/or higher education and apprenticeships, increase independence skills, build confidence, access appropriate services, reduce isolation and build resilience.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting young carers to reach their full potential. We do not expect you to have direct experience of mentoring nor working with young carers but we do expect you to have empathy, good listening skills and a strong knowledge of the needs and common challenges of young people aged 14-16 with a desire to make a real difference in their lives.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong partnerships with community organisations and to generate and maintain steady referrals to the programme. You will be required to assess young carers’ needs and in conjunction with the other Mentoring Project Officer, deliver one-to-one and group support to the mentees, carefully monitoring their progress. Further to this, you will be responsible for responding to safeguarding concerns and maintaining strong professional boundaries.

To build relationships of trust with the young carers so that they can inform you of any problems arising within the mentoring sessions and so that you can effectively track their progress.

To deliver 6 x monthly group work sessions for each mentee with an anticipated total of 16 cohorts per annum.

At the end of each group work cohort to jointly deliver a celebration activity.

To ensure our Lamplight CRM is up to date and has accurate information, including updating case notes and safeguarding concerns in a timely manner.

To ensure you and the other mentor complete session reports after each mentoring session and complete an Outcomes Star at the initial assessment, midway through the mentoring and upon completion.

To monitor and evaluate the service, including gathering and uploading data from evaluation forms and surveys.

To attend regular supervisory sessions with the Service Manager and produce verbal/written reports on the programme as appropriate.
Other Duties

In conjunction with the Service Manager, support the delivery of an annual Young Adult Carer Aspirations Conference.

The Partnerships Manager will lead GISF’s income generation efforts to support its mission and implementation of initiatives within the 2025-2030 Strategy. They will do this by proactively engaging with a range of donors, building relationships, and cultivating partnerships. Strategic Income Generation & Fundraising
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with GISF’s 2025-2030 strategy.
- Identify and secure funding from government donors and other sources to build a robust opportunity pipeline that supports GISF’s initiatives.
- Work closely with the Finance team to set income targets, and with the Communications team to create impactful campaigns for diverse supporter engagement.
Partnership Development
- Establish and maintain relationships with existing and potential government donors (including from the Global South), philanthropies and trusts.

- Identify relevant donor grant/contract opportunities, draft compelling proposals, and ensure timely submission of all related documentation.
- Collaborate with donors, GISF staff and GISF member organisations to co-create and promote solutions that address specific needs and align with GISF’s mission.

Grant Management
- Supervise the Grants Officer, ensuring effective handling of current GISF grants and contracts.
- Ensure systems are in place to efficiently transition from winning new funding to programme implementation
- Ensure strong and impactful reporting to donors to maintain and grow relationships
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Represent GISF at networking events and conferences to increase visibility and establish strategic alliances.

The International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is Nepal’s longest serving international NGO with over seven decades of experience working with Nepal’s poorest and most disadvantaged people and communities.
Nepal is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world. After a decade of peace following the 1996 to 2006 civil war, the country was hit by several generation-defining events. In 2015, a catastrophic earthquake killed nearly 9,000 people and then the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic took its toll on the nation, amplifying challenges such as social exclusion, limited access to basic services, and weakening economic growth.
Its people have worked hard and achieved much to reduce poverty in Nepal. Twenty years ago, nearly every other family lived in extreme poverty, earning less than $1.25 a day. Although this number has halved, today there are still one in four families living in extreme poverty. This is why Nepal and its people need further help in the alleviation of poverty and suffering.

You will also moderate contributions from our community of users and help create and maintain effective relationships inside and outside the charity. This means working with people inside Parkinson’s UK and from our community, as well as with the companies who make and sell the tech in our catalogue.

- Help the Catalogue and Community Lead to manage the catalogue of devices and apps, including compiling and editing listing pages.

About the role
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are a significant public health issue in Mali, including Trachoma, Lymphatic Filariasis, Onchocerciasis, Schistosomiasis, and soil-transmitted helminths. These diseases, linked to poverty and poor hygiene, cause serious morbidity and social discrimination, hindering socio-economic development. The Finance Assistant will support the implementation of WHO guidelines for NTD elimination and control, contributing to strategic plans and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role involves managing financial records, logistics, and IT equipment, as well as supporting grant management and collaboration between finance and programme teams. Additionally, the Finance Assistant will help implement HR policies and ensure statutory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Ensure good collaboration with partners (INGOs, MoH, and Regional Health Directorates).
- Ensure routine data collection into organisational templates.
- Participate in key meetings and keep technical notes of each.
- Support national programmes in the finalisation of various reports and their archiving.
- Support national NTD programmes to implement activities according to required standards.
- Plan and play an active role in the supervision and monitoring of project activities.
- Submit reports of field activities as well as success stories.
- Support the writing of first drafts of Annual Project Reports (APRs).
