Who we are

Health for All is a charity created to meet the needs of people in south Leeds and continues to respond to the changing needs of individuals and communities in Leeds and beyond. We provide a wide range of health-related activities for people unable to access mainstream services. Our services improve the quality of life for all generations.

Our mission is to enable the poorest and most vulnerable communities to overcome the challenges of health and social inequality. Our grassroots approach invests in safe, welcoming community spaces, tailored services built around communities in need, instilling confidence and equipping people with the skills to live happy, healthy lives.

Our connections to the communities in and around south Leeds help us establish a way of working which is collaborative, flexible and responsive. People and their needs are at the heart of everything we do. This approach has enabled us to reduce loneliness and achieve better outcomes for children, young people, adults and families; improving the lives of people of all ages and abilities since 1991, over three decades.

Our vision is health and wellbeing for all, a society free from inequality, poverty and isolation. Our charity was established 34 years ago with the clear aim of actively redressing health inequalities. We build communities and facilitate real change in people’s lives. Our vital services work across generations, cultures and ethnicities to bring people together to achieve healthier, happier lives.

Our ethos we believe everyone deserves the chance to live a healthy, fulfilling life. We focus on reducing inequalities and tackling the root causes of poor health. We work with communities, listening, learning, and responding to local needs this is central to our approach. Every person is unique. We create safe, welcoming spaces that empower people to discover their strengths and reach their potential. Our goal is to give people tools, support, and confidence, so they can thrive independently and build stronger communities.
