Key areas of responsibilities;

• Lead on global financial accounting policies and processes to meet accounting standards in multiple countries 
• Provide expertise and support country and global teams to embed best practice on financial accounting matters. Support development of professional financial accounting skills across global and country finance teams; ensuring documentation of policies, procedures, guidance in Quality Framework and appropriate training available. 
• Lead on quarterly balance sheet reviews to assess accuracy of financial accounting data and develop action plan to address any weaknesses. Support data governance processes. 
• Lead on preparation and review of annual statutory trustees report and financial statements to ensure completeness and accuracy. 
• Lead on planning, preparation and delivery of annual  statutory audits. Support with audit strategy and manage day to day relationship with external auditors to deliver efficient and effective audit. Lead on preparation of action plan to address and reduce audit findings, monitor and report on progress against plan.

PURPOSE OF THE POST

The purpose of the post is to work closely with POPS’ Director, to ensure the quality and compliant delivery of POPS’ service located currently across Northwest, Yorkshire, Leicester and Bristol. You will drive forward POPS strategic and development plans to ensure the organisations’ future growth both locally and nationally.

The post will have significant responsibilities to ensure successful operational delivery and compliance of all POPS’ Services and commissioned projects and have a key role supporting the development of new business and engaging in newly identified commissioning opportunities.

MAIN TASKS

STRATEGY

• Work closely with POPS’ Director to meet organisational objectives and aims within the strategic plan
• Develop national, regional and local partnership to enable POPS to fulfil its mission and strategic plan
• Oversee development of ideas and implementation of required interventions to ensure future organisational growth
• Provide comprehensive reports to ensure that POPS’ Director and Board of Trustees are provided oversight of governance; quality assurance; performance against set KPI’s; future planning, fundraising and new business development.

OPERATIONS

• Directly line manage POPS’ three Operations Managers
• Ensure high performance standards and production of quality outcomes, ensuring contractual KPI’s are met
• Work closely with Assistant Director for Core Business functions to ensure services are delivered within legislative and financial requirements
• Work with Operations managers to ensure contractual compliance: ensure that appropriate targets and monitored and achieved.
• Support the recruitment and development of staff 
• Work effectively with all colleagues to achieve agreed goals and respond to challenges in a timely and constructive way.
• Maintain good financial discipline, manage multiple funding streams; ensure organisational financial probity by implementing and developing appropriate financial controls and systems.
• Maintain and develop measurement and metrics to evaluate service delivery and demonstrate impact
• Produce Business Continuity and Risk Management plans and review on quarterly basis to Identify risks to services delivery, contractual compliance, staff competency, and develop solutions to mitigate against such risk.
• Attend and host internal and external meetings
• Produce reports to meet internal and external deadlines
• Ensure POPS’ Policies and procedures are implemented and fully complied with

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT 

• Directly line manage POPS’ Bid Manager

• Maintain and develop strong partnerships with a range of national, regional and local agencies and develop collaborative working practices
• Attend Market engagement and stakeholder events
• Support bid writing process to meet commissioning deadlines 
• Ensure the involvement of service user voice in all aspects of POPS service delivery and development.
• Develop a culture of imaginative thinking to generate and listen to ideas from all stakeholders.

GENERAL

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in providing operational and strategic leadership in the financial management of the charity.  Working to a high level of autonomy, the role will form part of the Operational Leadership Team, supporting the charity to deliver its organisational strategy.  This role is crucial in leading the Finance Team to ensure financial health and long-term sustainability.  The role will ensure compliance with charity legislation, providing key support to the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources.

Main Duties
 

1. Lead and managing the Finance Team on all aspects of the charity’s day-to-day financial operations, including all income, expenditure and balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with polices, charity legislation and other relevant financial standards. 
2. Leading the Finance Team and directing the work, whilst fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.  Liaise across the organisation, being able to manage a matrix style approach across teams, to ensure the smooth running of the Finance Team
3. Production of the monthly management accounts, ensuring income and expenditure is recognised accurately with appropriate, supporting audit documentation in place.
4. Undertake financial due diligence approval checks against the raising of our client sales invoices, monthly payroll submissions, fortnightly BACS runs and bank reconciliations, ensuring appropriate, supporting audit documentation is in place.
5. Leading and maintaining on the production of our monthly cash flow forecast and bank account management to aid financial forecasting and reporting, ensuring the charity maintains an operational surplus position. 
6. Leading on the charity’s annual external audit, including the preparation of our statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with all relevant charity legislation, regulations and financial reporting standards.
7. Leading on the submission of timely quarterly VAT returns to HMRC, mitigating the risk of potential financial penalties for late submission.
8. Leading on the process of preparing and setting budgets and financial forecasting, liaising closely with the Director of Finance and Corporate Resources and budget holders as appropriate, to ensure accurate income projections and profiles are in place aligning with the charity’s strategic priorities.
9. Leading on the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports to the CEO, Strategic Leadership Team, Audit and Risk Committee and the Board of Trustees.

We are a friendly, passionate, multi-disciplinary team of 11 people working to create fair access to work for people in their 50s and 60s. We run the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, pilot projects to test out new models of employment support and undertake high-level policy analysis and influencing.

The Research and Evaluation Manager is core to this work. You will be the research lead in the team – managing the research and evaluation activity that generates the strong evidence base we are known for.

About you

We would like someone who has been involved in the nitty gritty of evaluation research, balancing an interest in the technical sides of answering evaluation questions with an awareness of the practical challenges of doing so. It would be great if you had experience on the research commissioning side, but you could still have the right skills if you have only worked within a contracted research team.

We would like you to have good experience of qualitative research and secondary research. You need to be comfortable with numbers and basic data analysis, but you don’t need to be a quantitative specialist (as we have one of those).

We want you to have some experience working on policy-oriented research and developing policy recommendations. You need to be motivated by change, as well as understanding the problem. You will be a line manager in this role. Line management experience is a desirable attribute – but it is essential you can demonstrate that you have supported other people to deliver their work.

As Service Manager you will manage and lead the operations of Staffordshire Together for Carers - All Age Carers Service. The post holder will undertake distinct project management duties such as staff management, monitoring performance/quality, reporting, implementing policy/process and stakeholder management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Being responsible for overall performance of contracts, quality delivery and achievement of outcomes
• Jointly with the Community Development & Partnership Officer, develop and maintain relationships/referral pathways with key stakeholders with the express aim of raising awareness of caring and identifying hidden Carers within a whole system approach
• To act as the local point of contact with commissioners, developing and maintaining relationships and preparing for and delivering performance reports/updates at contract review meetings
• Responsible for managing the relationship with and performance of subcontracted/funded partners including holding contract review meetings and addressing any issues and or development needs, ensuring any arrangement continues to meet the needs of Carers
• Responsible for managing expenditure against annual operational budgets
• Provide team meeting facilitation, line management, supervision and support to direct reports

 The successful candidate will have a minimum two years’ experience of managing a service, including staff management, supervision and support and being responsible for and working in partnership to meet contractual obligations. Experience of evaluating delivery,

monitoring/ analysing performance, creating reports and managing relationships with commissioners and managing budgets is key. A good working knowledge of social care and health, particularly as it relates to working with Carers and adults is crucial, as is knowledge of legislation relevant to Carers.

• Develop and strengthen creative tools, accessible guidance and other materials for community organisations that increase their ability to scope, develop and deliver projects.
• Work with community actors to develop and deliver pro-active local engagement processes that build informed consent and support for renewables within their wider community.

• Have experience and knowledge of developing and/or delivering heat, renewable energy, or storage projects, including larger standalone renewables projects.

As our Fixing Factory Workshop Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our newest Fixing Factory, helping members of the public to fix their broken items, and supervising a successful team of volunteers and freelancers to support along the way. You’ll deliver a programme of activities to teach people the basics of repair and change their mindset around electronic waste.

You’ll be based mainly onsite at the Fixing Factory in North London (exact location TBC), working with a passionate Fixing Factory team including workshop managers for other sites, and a central development and project management team. You’ll also work closely with The Restart Project, our partner on Fixing Factories.

The Role

This is an exciting role which will be crucial in driving our Regional Fundraising vision to be at the heart of our communities. We need an army of recognisable volunteers beside us in all our communities, empowered to drive lasting change for people affected by stroke and support our plans for income growth.

Your team will be proactively acquiring new volunteers through various products and propositions. Leading the design and delivery of a high value network of ‘business boards’ and testing new, innovative ways to enable our supporters to donate their time to us. To deliver this you will lead on specific projects, role and proposition design, reporting and planning, and work collaboratively with others across the team and wider Customer Experience directorate. 

Reporting to the Relationships Lead you will lead your team (one direct report), coach members of the wider team and be a valuable member of the Regional Fundraising management team.

· Develop and deliver new volunteer products and propositions

· Responsible for all volunteer experience across the Regional Fundraising Team including volunteer platforms and technology to support efficient and effective ways of working

· To ensure effective line management of the team.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our ambitious team and the successful candidate is expected to support the principles, values, and objectives of The Grand Appeal.

We’re looking for an individual who has previous experience in project management and organising and delivering high-profile events, to help execute our fourth character sculpture arts trail. Gromit Unleashed 3 follows three trailblazing and award-winning public art trails from Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, in partnership with Aardman, that have generated over £20 million to support Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital. 

The successful candidate will work closely with The Grand Appeal’s Senior Leadership Team to deliver key elements of the trail, including leading the installation and de-installation of the sculptures, artist liaison, managing the hugely popular public exhibition and providing high-level support for the highly anticipated auction. The candidate will be extremely organised with exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills and will ensure every aspect of the project is planned effectively and runs smoothly.

Enthusiasm, initiative and energy are key attributes for this role.  With exceptional interpersonal skills, the candidate will enjoy engaging with members of the public and managing our volunteers who play a vital role throughout the whole project. Main Purpose of Job:

We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with excellent relationship management skills to help build resilient and profitable income streams for the Somerset Cricket Foundation (SCF) and extend the reach of the charity’s profile. This will include working with existing and new corporate relationships, individuals and Trusts & Foundations.

You will develop and use stewardship tools to guide donors and partnerships through their giving journey; including cultivation plans, proposals, and reports. You will be involved in sourcing and presenting tailored information, making appropriate financial and non-financial requests.

Main Responsibilities:

• Agree an annual high-value fundraising strategy for SCF, in collaboration with the Somerset Cricket Foundation Fundraising Committee and Managing Director.
• Take overall responsibility for the development, growth, and implementation high-value relationships.
• Develop and create new fundraising opportunities that raise the profile of SCF and attract new partners and donors.
• Nurture and maintain long-lasting positive relationships with corporate contacts and individual supporters to build a loyal supporter base.

• Promote the work of the SCF at networking events, through associated media and literature.
