Role description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Community Fundraiser. You will lead, plan, cost and deliver an exciting and varied community fundraising programme to grow income and a strong return on investment. You will need to work closely with the Director of Fundraising to shape the plans and resources required for the future.

Build Up is a charity that runs practical construction projects across London, supporting young people aged 10-23 years old to shape their local area. We’re looking for a Programme Manager to join us and lead the delivery of these projects.
The role
You’ll coordinate Build Up’s year-round programme of youth-led design and construction projects, managing two Construction Project Managers to deliver them. You’ll develop project ideas selected by our young people and support our team to set up strong working partnerships. About the role
We are looking for an exceptional candidate, someone who can hit the ground running as our Senior Legal Education Officer, working closely with the Director and the rest of our small and dynamic Right to Remain staff team.
As the Senior Legal Education Officer at Right to Remain, you will be using your in-depth grasp of the historical changes and current developments in the asylum and immigration system and your understanding of how that has affected the communities of people seeking asylum and navigating the immigration system to guide the direction of Right to Remain’s public legal education work.
You will also be responsible for maintaining, developing, and increasing usage of our highly popular and accessible resources about the asylum and immigration system, most notably the Right to Remain Toolkit. You will deliver interactive workshops on the legal system for people navigating that system as well as professionals and volunteers. You will engage with our network of community groups to ensure that we are apprised of developments on the ground and we are communicating important changes to these support groups. You will also work with the Director to develop and deliver specific public legal education projects. You must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences, in a manner that reflects Right to Remain’s mission and values.
The role will require occasional evening and/or weekend working, for which you will receive time off in lieu (TOIL). The role will also require some travel within the UK.
Currently, Right to Remain has six staff members. One staff is based in Manchester while the rest of the team is based in London. This post is London-based.
This is a full-time post. We can consider offering it as a part-time, 0.8 FTE post, depending on the successful candidate’s level of experience, skill set, and circumstances.

The organisation was founded in 1995 as the National Coalition of Anti Deportation Campaigns, a coalition of grassroots groups fighting against the deportation of their friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers across the UK. Our name changed in 2014 to reflect the expanded scope of the organisation’s work, in response to our community’s changing needs. As the landscape of asylum and migration law, policies and practices grew harsher, it became essential that our community understood the asylum and immigration system better from the very beginning of their journey through the process. There are three reasons for this: in order to support one another to secure immigration status and the right to remain in the UK, to proactively protect the community from the risk of the violence and trauma of detention and deportation and, most importantly, to challenge injustice and human rights abuses. We became a registered charity (1192934) in December 2020.
Since then, the main resource of our public legal education work about the asylum and immigration system, our Right to Remain Toolkit, has become the critical infrastructure for the entire asylum and migration field and beyond. It is the lifeline for many who are stuck in a Kafkaesque system: in 2023/24, it was used by an average of 64,141 unique users online every month. People use the Toolkit to practise for their asylum interviews, gather their own evidence, prepare for their own appeals when they cannot find a lawyer to represent them, and exercise agency by equipping themselves with the knowledge of what could happen to them and the options they have. Many groups, large and small, use it for their staff and volunteer training and for their work at large. Lawyers and students use it as a reference point and other professionals such as youth workers, ESOL teachers, and doctors use it to support people going through the system.
This popularity is due to the fact that our resources, workshops and outreach are accessible, practical and empowering. They are accessible because they are designed specifically for both non-specialists and people going through the system, based on feedback from our community collected over the years. They are practical because they include information about possible steps people can take to improve their chance of securing immigration status and their right to remain in the UK, also based on the tips contributed by our community. And they are empowering because they help people understand what might happen to them at each stage of the process, and how to help prepare for any given scenario, enabling them to take better control of their lives with or without the help of legal advisors and solicitors.
We also demystify legal support. We explain clearly how allies and supporters who are not accredited to give legal advice and who, for this reason, are afraid to help others can still safely provide vital support in our community. While quality legal advice remains scarce, it is vital to scale up the amount of legal support available. This both alleviates the pressure faced by the struggling legal advice sector, and connects people in the system with their supporters, equipping them with knowledge and confidence to fight for the right to remain together, and seek ways to survive the system within their local community. This knowledge of the system will always remain central to our movement.
In fact, our legal education work goes beyond a simple gesture of information provision. Our work is relational. We carefully and consciously do this in a way that calls for solidarity to bring more people and groups into the movement, focussing on building power in our community.
The Toolkit and our workshops act as a portal through which people can enter the shared struggle for migration justice and start taking collective action to change the system – because you need to understand the system to fight it, just as our community said when we developed the Toolkit over ten years ago. The Toolkit and our public legal education work is therefore the basis of our strategic convening and campaigning, including our experience-led community organising work, These Walls Must Fall. The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights, feminist organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to supporting the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs and facing barriers to social protection. Around 2,000 women use our services every year, benefitting from practical and emotional support, learning new skills and improving their own opportunities. The Research and Engagement Policy Officer will be responsible for supporting the development of LAWRS’ policy, advocacy, and campaigning work through research co-development with a group of migrant survivors of domestic abuse. This research will highlight the barriers experienced by migrant survivors in accessing healthcare and provide opportunities for co-production and participation in policy, advocacy and campaigning spaces for women facing severe disadvantage due to intersectional inequalities.

Overview of the Head of Campaigns role and the team
Barnabas Aid is seeking a dynamic and strategic individual for the role of Head of Campaigns, a critical position within our International Outreach Department. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
This new role will play a key part in ensuring strong financial management of the organisation’s financial resources. This position is key for both Helen Bamber Foundation and Asylum Aid and the postholder will work closely with all members of the finance team in delivering both the organisational and financial strategies.
The candidate will have confidence and experience in producing high quality and accurate management accounts and variance analysis, as well as proven FP&A experience in supporting a charity’s annual financial planning cycle. As Senior Finance Manager, you will be reporting to the Director of Finance and Governance and will be directly line managing the Finance Manager. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead on the production of monthly management accounts for both entities (Helen Bamber Foundation & Asylum Aid) including variance analysis.
· Oversight of month end close process carried out by the Finance Manager ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· Supporting the annual planning cycle including regular re-forecasts as well as the annual budget planning process.
· Provide reports and accurate project accounting for joint partnerships with other organisations.
· Support the development of devolved budgets and budget holder responsibilities across the organisation. Provide business partnering to future budget holders across the organisation.
· Lead on production of the annual financial statements in adherence with FRS102 and charity SORP. This includes review of the year-end adjustments and liaising with the communications team on production of the annual report.
· Play a leading role in the annual audit process, dealing with our external auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
· Support cash flow forecasting ensuring that latest risks and opportunities are considered.
· Support the fundraising team with bid applications ensuring that budgets are accurate and aligned to strategy.
· Responsibility for the updating and implementation of key financial control procedures and policies across the organisation.
· Continually look to improve financial processes both within the finance team and across the organisation. This role will play a key role in delivering the financial strategy including systems development.
· Provide payroll cover as required – payroll is outsourced to an external payroll bureau.

Job title: Philanthropy Manager
We are seeking our first Philanthropy Manager to cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of donors and prospective donors (including alumni and other individuals, companies and charities) to generate major gifts £10,000 - £1 million+ for the Trust.
The successful candidate will join a small Executive Team of two (Director and Stewardship Officer) and work closely with our newly appointed Chair (from 6 July 2025), the Board of Trustees, and members of its sub-committee for Alumni Relations, Fundraising and Communications.
The first Kennedy Scholars departed for Harvard and MIT in 1966. In 2026 we will celebrate the 60th anniversary of this significant milestone in our history. The impact of this life-changing opportunity over the past 60 years will feature strongly in our new fundraising campaign.
Reporting to: Director of the Kennedy Memorial Trust (KMT)
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week. We understand that full-time hours may not suit all candidates, so there is some flexibility in the hours and work schedule.

Compensation: Salary £45,000 FTE, 30 days holiday plus bank hols (FTE) and 8% employer pension contribution after 3 months’ service
Location: Home-based but within easy access to London. The post holder can work on a hybrid basis, combining predominately home-working with regular in-person meetings in London. Travel from home to London for work and meetings will be paid in accordance with any expenses policies in force at the time.
The role involves some travel, in addition to the London working requirement, for meetings/events with donors, scholars, trustees and other stakeholders – ie monthly within the UK and twice a year to the US. There will also be occasional evening and weekend commitments.

The role
1. Fundraising activity
Contribute to the development of the new fundraising strategy.
Research, identify and pursue fundraising opportunities that meet the Trust’s strategic objectives.
Lead one-on-one and small group meetings with Trustees and key supporters to identify, develop and deliver fundraising objectives.
Assist Trustees in developing and maintaining their portfolios of prospects and donors.
Write compelling fundraising proposals and applications for funding, including bespoke proposals tailored to specific individuals.
Initiate and nurture relationships with potential high-level donors aiming to establish a strong and long-term philanthropic relationship

Experience and education required:
Experience of professional fundraising, with a track record of successfully securing major (£10k+) gifts from individuals, Foundations and businesses.
Educated to degree level
Experience of delivering a fundraising programme and pipeline to meet financial targets.
Experience identifying, negotiating and managing resource requirements in support of fundraising activity
Experience of having worked with high-level donors
Demonstrable understanding of higher education in UK and US
Demonstrable understanding of data protection/ Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice and the Charity Commission.

This is a new and strategically important position in a growing team. Our advocacy - the use of information and evidence to drive change in policy, practices and attitudes - and the effective engagement of target audiences to stimulate action, is at the core of our success in forging a fairer water future.
As a senior member of the Public and Political Engagement team, the Advocacy and Engagement Manager will work closely with our Research and Operations teams, and partners across Africa, Asia and South America. They will engage with decision makers in government, business, financial institutions, multi-lateral and network organisations, local and international NGOs, and the media, to advance evidence-based solutions to the conjoined global crises of water, climate, nature and inequality.
In particular, they will play a key role in our Fair Water Footprints Campaign and the wider delivery of the Glasgow Declaration for Fair Water Footprints. With new funding from the UK Government’s Just Transitions for Water Security Programme, these game changing initiatives seek to end the abuse of water in our supply chains, and to establish responsible water stewardship as the global business norm by 2030 so that trade and business accelerate, rather than undermine, shared water security. This will be achieved through mobilising the power of scientific evidence and citizen voices to trigger change in government policies, corporate practices, financial disclosure, and political and public expectations. The choreography and delivery of this change will be a core focus of the successful candidate’s work.
This role will involve travel within the UK and internationally, including in Africa and South America, and would suit an exceptional communicator who is fluent in the technical and policy aspects of water and climate justice, and who has several years of demonstrable experience in using advocacy, communications, and stakeholder engagement to drive change. Big Tech companies have become so large – gobbling up a huge slice of the global marketplace and an unprecedented treasure hoard of user data – that they’re now more powerful than many states. The harmful effects of this concentration of power are everywhere – threats to our democracy, to our privacy, decimated workers’ rights and platforms rife with disinformation and hate. Governments are ploughing ahead with the use of algorithms and mass data systems to cut costs and increase efficiency often resulting in digital tools that entrench unfairness and leave the most vulnerable in society in crisis. All these problems are only getting worse with generative AI.
Foxglove works to bring the rule of law to the tech and AI giants who have upended our public square, workplaces, and social lives. We fight to reduce these anti-democratic behemoths’ size and power and we challenge them for abusing their workers. We also work to ensure public bodies use data and algorithms openly, fairly, and legally.
We have a strong track record. We’ve launched landmark cases seeking structural changes to big tech’s harmful business models, supported 180+ Facebook content moderators fired for trying to form a union to sue Facebook and their outsourcing company, Sama – winning world-first judgements. We helped launch Africa’s first content moderators' union and are urging UK and EU regulators to halt Big Tech’s maneuvers to hoover up generative AI as it has the rest of our online world. We have forced disclosure of secret contracts between tech giants and the NHS, stopped a racist Home Office visa streaming algorithm, helped make grading fair for UK A level students, forced the government to pause the NHS Data Grab and challenged the Department of Work and Pension’s use of an algorithm unfairly flagging disabled people for benefit fraud investigations.

You are an experienced lawyer with a strong interest in using the law to hold governments and companies to account. The role
The post holder will be responsible for managing Foxglove’s legal team and legal work. You will drive forward a range of cases, including the development of case theories, investigating and collecting evidence, drafting correspondence, evidence and submissions. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing external legal teams. UK and international travel is required.

Case Development and Management
- Listen to affected communities, unearth issues caused by tech injustice, and come up with innovative legal solutions.
- Build and maintain relationships with impacted community members, unions, other lawyers, experts, co-counsel, intervenors, civil society organisations and the public.
- Draft and comment on technical and legal documents and correspondence.
- Effectively work with the co-Executive Director to implement Foxglove’s legal strategy
- Manage and supervise the legal team.

Compliance and Risk Management
- Manage court deadlines and time limits where applicable.
- Ensure regulatory compliance in all aspects of your work and our cases.

- Keep up to date with the global litigation landscape concerning tech justice.
Other

Person Specification
Essential
- A strong interest in using the law to hold government and companies to account.
- Qualified lawyer in any jurisdiction with at least senior legal experience.
- Ability to learn new areas of law quickly and develop new areas of work.
- Demonstrable knowledge in conduct of cases from initial advice through to trial.
- Relevant experience in analysing complex factual and legal situations and helping to advise clients in accordance with their aims.
- Experience in dealing sensitively with clients and experts.
- Experience in working on complex matters, which require analysis of large amounts of documents and data.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrated by ability to communicate accurately, clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent time management skills demonstrated by ability to organise and prioritise a complex workload and work to tight deadlines.
- Experience in working and contributing to a team environment.
Length and Salary
The role is permanent. The annual salary is £70,075 per annum less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.
Our team works remotely, and this role can be based anywhere. We would prefer you to work within or close to UK office hours, but this is flexible. Our team travels every two months for team days and twice a year for team retreats. This role will include significant UK and international travel.Only candidates with the right to work in their location will be considered.

Our Wales Delivery team are looking for someone who’s enthusiastic and well connected to the tech and digital sector in South Wales to become the new Digital Manager in Cardiff.
We deliver a range of programmes to support young people to develop their digital skills and move into employment; in tech/digital roles, or roles that are enabled through digital skills. You will develop new and maintain existing partnerships with employers and partners in the digital and tech sector in Wales, specifically to provide employment outcome opportunities for young people within our target groups.
