About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
About the role
We are seeking a talented Database Officer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about data to play a key role in supporting the charity's mission through data management and analysis.
As a Database Officer, you will help support the final stages of the implementation of Beacon, and then will be responsible for ensuring the effective management and maintenance of the CRM moving forward. You’ll collaborate across departments, manage data imports, ensure data accuracy, and provide valuable insights to improve our engagement with supporters and donors. Your work will contribute to the growth of the charity by enabling data-driven decision-making.
The Database officer will sit within the CoppaFeel! Operations Team and will work closely with the Data and Compliance Manager and the Director of Operations to support the organisation with the roll out of Beacon.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.
You will report into The Data and Compliance Manager and sit within the Operations Team.
The Role
Duties & Responsibilities
Database Management:
- Maintain and update the charity's CRM database Beacon, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Manage records, ensuring data is up-to-date and compliant with GDPR regulations.
- Conduct regular data cleaning, deduplication, and quality checks.
- Support integrations between the database and other systems (e.g., email marketing, online donation platforms)
Data Imports and Exports:
- Process and import data from various sources, including fundraising platforms, events, and direct marketing campaigns.
- Extract and segment data for use in fundraising campaigns, communications, and reporting.
- Process and reconcile donations and assist with direct debit and gift aid claims
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports for teams across the charity, including fundraising, marketing, and senior management, using tools such as Excel or CRM reporting functions.
- Provide data analysis and insights to help optimise fundraising and supporter engagement strategies
Data Compliance:
- Ensure all data processing activities are in line with GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations.
- Maintain and manage consent on the CRM ensuring GDPR compliance
Training and Support:
- Provide database training and support to colleagues, helping them to utilise the CRM effectively.
- Assist with the development and documentation of database procedures and best practices
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience working in a database officer or similar role, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Beacon, Raiser's Edge, Salesforce, Donorfy, or equivalent)
- Proficient in performing data imports, exports, and segmentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
- Familiarity with GDPR and data protection legislation, with practical experience in ensuring compliance
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical colleagues
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across the organisation
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Key duties include:

The Awards Management Unit (AMU)
AMU has responsibility for identifying, securing and managing all funding from government donors for the IRC. AMU is a bridge between donors and the IRC’s work on the ground. The team provides expert technical advice to colleagues delivering our services around the world, ensures consistency and compliance with our donors’ policies and procedures, and manages risk. The unit also supports all IRC staff working on awards from government donors and partnerships.
The Purpose of the Role
The Senior Advisor, FCDO Donor Engagement will lead, guide and coordinate IRC’s funding focused engagement with UK Government’s Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The post holder will provide an internal and external “account management” function to support engagement with these donors. The role is responsible for providing expertise and leadership on donor relations. It will work closely with technical and proposal development teams who will provide the operational BD capacity to secure significant growth in its funding portfolio from the UK Government and to protect IRC’s funding share, through influential engagement around policy shifts, working in close collaboration with Policy & Solutions as well as Advocacy & Influence.
The FCDO Senior Advisor will lead the development and implementation of strategies for proactive donor and partner relationships on behalf of IRC. The role will develop and maintain positive working relationships and standards of collaboration with senior colleagues across the organization, including the Awards Management Unit, International Division (CRRD) and External Relations. The role will also lead FCDO liaison on Business Development with the President’s Office, advising the leadership board on relevant trends in FCDO funding.
Major Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop, update and lead a comprehensive UK-focused business development strategy including approaches, tools, and metrics.
- Lead the development and implementation of the UK donor engagement strategy including coordinating actions of relevant stakeholders.
External Representation
- Develop and maintain a network of senior stakeholders within relevant FCDO teams to ensure effective engagement, influence and winning BD approaches.
- Undertake direct representation with donor officials, and support the development of IRC’s donor relationships, including brokering meetings between donors and Regional and Technical Leadership, Country Directors, and supporting the preparation for these engagements.
- Participate in key meetings with FCDO officials, including Desk/Program Officers, Heads of Unit, Director-General/equivalent, advisors and other officials.
- Represent the IRC at external meetings, events, and forums including delivering presentations/briefings to senior donor representatives, forums and sector groups.
Enabling cross organizational engagement with UK Govt
- Proactively identify and broker relationships with key UK FCDO officials and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of donor strategies relevant to IRC’s work, such as funding priorities, geographical interests and political climate, providing analyses and synopses of press releases, policies and other announcements, and disseminating this information internally.
- Map donor organizational structure, identify key contacts and maintain relationship records in IRC’s CRM system.
- Maintain and contribute to the improvement of tools and resources to support donor engagement and relationship building with donors.
- Work with key staff across the organization to support UK business development planning and implementation, routinely engaging with operational BD teams at global, regional and country levels to review long term pipeline, plan strategic engagement and mitigate portfolio risk.
- Equip IRC staff with the skills, tools and information to manage local, or technical donor engagement, business development and implementation.
- Coordinate across IRC teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely messaging for FCDO.
Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

- Significant experience of working with organizations that engage closely with or directly for UK FCDO.
- Strong working understanding of the UK political environment and trends relevant to FCDO, charity and development funding commissioned and led by UK based charities and contractors.

- Experience of humanitarian and development business development, program management, advocacy or other similar HQ-HQ relationship with FCDO.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, including development of influential reports and briefing documents.

- Excellent strategic vision and a track record of delivering long-term strategic objectives.

Preferred experience & skills:

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB
The Stella Maris (SM) Regional Port Chaplain will promote the vision, mission and values of SM in caring for all seafarers and fishers by helping to meet their pastoral and spiritual needs. They will recruit, train and support SM staff and volunteers for the port and will maintain good relations with local parishes and the local diocese. They will work ecumenically with members of other Christian maritime societies with whom SM works.
1. To meet the welfare and pastoral needs of all seafarers and fishers equally according to their needs and wishes. To be an advocate on their behalf, upholding the dignity of each. Through regular and frequent ship visiting, to understand the working and living conditions of the seafarer and fishers and be able to work for justice and for the well-being of all crew members without distinction.
2. To address the communication needs of seafarers, providing transport, news, and access to telephone and internet facilities.
3. To address the welfare needs of seafarers and fishers, including support with money transfers, hospitality, and crisis support, e.g. abandonment, injury and death, detainment, bereavement, advice and access to medical care.
4. To meet the ecclesial, spiritual, and sacramental needs of Catholic seafarers and fishers; to facilitate the religious and spiritual needs of others and to be a pastor to all, sharing one’s faith as appropriate.
5. To participate in SM conferences, ongoing formation and other professional courses as required.
6. To supporting seafarer centre functioning.
7. To recruit, train, develop and retain a SM ship visiting volunteering team.
8. To represent SM on the local Port Welfare Committee(s), to include attending such meetings and submitting reports.
9. To liaise and maintain good working relationships with all port stakeholders, including the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the International Transport Workers’ Federation, port health, harbour masters, dockers, security, and shipping agents.
10. To work in an ecumenical and multi-faith context by respecting the differing religious and spiritual needs of seafarers drawn from diverse regions throughout the world.
11. To encourage and support the development of an ecumenical service to seafarers through engagement with our ecumenical colleagues, including the Mission to Seafarers, The Fishermen’s Mission, The Sailors’ Society (to name a few).
12. To engage with local maritime colleges.
13. To engage with the local press, in particular the local Catholic diocesan press.
14. To represent and be a proactive advocate for SM at Deanery meetings, in local parishes, in schools, with diocesan Justice and Peace networks, with migrant communities, in the local Catholic community and in the local community as a whole.
15. To support the Fundraising and Communications team with the development of local fundraising initiatives.
16. To promote SM internally and externally so as to ensure a highly motivated workforce and a positive external image.

About the Council
The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in the optical professions. The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians). At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary.
The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders.
Remuneration and time commitment
Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses) which is linked in the candidate pack. The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.
The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month. Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at 10 Old Bailey, London, EC4M 7NG. There are occasional online catch-up meetings - these are currently scheduled on a Tuesday evening every 6-8 weeks, from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

Our priorities are to speed up the energy transition away from fossil fuels towards clean renewables and to protect the land and forests which absorb carbon from our atmosphere, while safeguarding the livelihoods of those most affected by climate change.
We do this by funding non-profit partners across the globe: in high- and middle-income countries, where there are the highest greenhouse gas emissions, and in low-income countries, where there is the least amount of climate change funding available and the highest levels of poverty. We work to ensure that our grants provide meaningful and flexible support to our partners and have the highest impact for the intended outcomes of the Foundation.
Purpose of role
Based in our offices in Knightsbridge, London, the Programme Manager will have experience in grant-making or in relevant non-profit or policy sectors, and an interest in social and environmental causes globally. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make a significant contribution to tackling climate change and poverty, in a predominantly office-based role. You would be joining a tight-knit team working in a fun, innovative and flexible environment.
Primary responsibilities
- Managing an existing portfolio of livelihoods and climate grants, i.e. owning the relationship with the NGOs, following their progress, overseeing the financial and legal aspects of the grant, and reporting to the Chair. A lot of this can be achieved through desk-based work, calls and meetings, but sometimes we need to travel to see our partners’ work in person.
- Making recommendations on grant renewals, by carrying out detailed analysis of the NGOs and the impact of the grants and working towards their approval by the board of directors.
- Exploring new grant opportunities under the strategic direction of the Foundation’s Chair.
- Maintaining, strengthening and growing the Foundation’s international network of foundations, subject experts, social intermediaries and service providers.
- Carrying out administrative tasks that are shared across the Programme Team, which could include financial reporting and website management.
Experience
- Strong academic background with a degree in a relevant field (postgraduate degree preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years’ work experience in grant-making, or in relevant non-profit or policy sectors.
- Strong interest in international development and climate change, and a willingness to keep learning about new sectors, geographies and solutions.
- Fluency in English with excellent writing and communication/presentation skills.
- Assertiveness and confidence working with people and building trust-based relationships – in person, on the phone and on email with grantees, the team and board.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Ability and willingness to hit the ground running and take direction.
- Team player who likes being part of a small team and gladly pitches in on any task, big or small.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Right to live and work in the UK.

Our lawyers work closely with the rest of the organisation using casework and legal advice to help Liberty reach its strategic goals. You will be responsible for running a small caseload of strategic litigation, conducting interventions and providing specialist human rights advice. A large part of the role is identifying and then scoping potential cases, working closely with other organisations to develop the litigation in a collaborative and creative way.

At Parkinson’s UK we have an exciting opportunity for a Governance Officer to work with us to lead on governance projects to support the charity’s strategic objectives. The role supports board committees as well as the Annual General meeting.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience of liaising at a senior level, working across teams. You’ll have a track record of writing documents for senior stakeholders in various formats. You will be asked to prepare board committee minutes and maintain accurate records for compliance and good governance.
The ideal candidate will be organised and methodical, with the ability to grasp detail and complexity, and will be interested in developing their professional skills in charity governance.
About the role
As a core member of the Governance team, you’ll take the lead on governance projects and supporting activities, reporting to the Company Secretary. You’ll be involved in the full process which enables the board of trustees to make strategic decisions on behalf of the charity’s members and people affected by Parkinson’s.
As a busy Governance Team, we work collaboratively and support each other throughout the year, and especially at peak periods of the governance cycle.
What you’ll do:
- Provide board and committee support, working closely with the Company Secretary
- Prepare and attend meetings, take minutes and act as the governance team lead when required
- Co-ordinate the production of meeting packs for board and committee meetings
- Arrange training and development sessions for trustees and committee members
- Contribute to the delivery of the Annual General Meeting and election cycle for charity members
What you’ll bring:
- Significant experience of providing senior stakeholder care to an excellent standard
- Proven experience of maintaining effective and efficient records. Previous experience with writing minutes is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with people at all levels
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accurate attention to detail
- A strong interest in gaining skills and experience in charity governance
