About the Role

As Programmes Coordinator you will be a vital member of the Programmes Team, supporting the smooth coordination of Schools and Teacher Training programmes. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the charity’s award-winning music education initiatives run efficiently and inclusively across their Flagship Schools and national training network.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Coordinate schedules, lessons, events and exams across central London Flagship Schools.

• Manage communications via the Programmes inbox, responding to parents, teachers, and stakeholders.

• Administer resources, instruments, payments, bursaries, and teacher invoices.

• Support student transitions, assessments, and reports in partnership with programme leads.

• Organise concerts and major events including M-Fest and seasonal showcases.

• Coordinate logistics for national training initiatives like Musicians of Change (PGCEi), including scheduling, recruitment, venue booking, and graduation processes.

• Manage data and systems including a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and evaluation tools.

• Assist with financial tracking, freelancer contracting, and administrative support across all programme areas.

You will need to be an efficient, proactive organiser who thrives in a collaborative environment. Have a keen eye for detail, a calm approach under pressure, and a passion for inclusive education or the arts.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Excellent organisation, time management and multitasking abilities

Support Coordinator

Position: S11266 Stroke Support Coordinator

The Role

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the coordinator will work with the local Health and Social Care services to receive referrals and support stroke survivors and their carers. As a coordinator you will provide personalised information, advice and support with regular reviews throughout.

• Working with the local Health and Social services to receive referrals to support stroke survivors and their carers.

• Have experience of working with people who may have additional communication support needs.

This part-time role is an enhancement to the existing One-Stop-Shop (OSS) with a specific focus on families, which brings together a range of organisations to work together in one location to offer advice and services to victims and survivors of domestic abuse. Currently the service operates 1 -2 day per week, offering specialist multi-agency support and with this enhancement of provision, this will enable an increase in the days the OSS is open and available, including the OSS Co-ordinator also being based in a greater variety of locations such as family hubs.

The One Stop Shop Coordinator will coordinate a range of organisations e.g. solicitors, housing, by-and-for organisations, DWP to work together in one location to offer advice and support service to victim survivors of domestic abuse. Their interaction with families will include being the first point of contact for families when they are entering the OSS, advising mothers of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies and direct them to the most appropriate service and, proactively assessing the needs and safety of children and women to ensure that any risks/needs identified are addressed.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You:

To be successful as the One Stop Shop Co-ordinator you will need the below experience and skills:

A thorough understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, so-called ‘honour-based violence’, forced marriage, stalking and harassment) and its impact on women, children, families and communities.

Knowledge and understanding of the needs of women and children who are or have experienced domestic abuse and the practical and emotional support needs specific to this group including, education, confidence and relationship building.

Experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a

range of stakeholders as well as experience of working within in multi-agency environment.

The ability to build and maintain a welcoming and safe environment where women, young people and community representatives can access support and make new connections.

Ability to develop and implement efficient administration processes for the smooth running of the OSS.

The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.

• Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.

• Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.

• Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.

Qualifications and experience criteria:

• Experience working with volunteers and/or young people

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Evidence of ability to prioritise and manage administrative tasks

Support Coordinator

This is a new role in our Participation Team to help us deliver work that amplifies the voices of people with lived experience to find solutions to homelessness and health inequalities. The post holder will lead a few projects and partnerships, with responsibility for planning and delivering activities and monitoring their progress.

Some examples of current projects are:

• Coordinating and supporting a group of six people with lived experience to co-design an immersive audio story and campaign to improve the health of people living in temporary accommodation in London. 

• Working with the City of London Corporation to embed meaningful co-production practices in their homelessness services; bringing people with experience of homelessness, frontline staff, and commissioners together to improve service design and delivery. 

Your main task will be to coordinate groups of people with lived experience of homelessness and health inequalities, alongside Groundswell peers and colleagues, services, local authorities, funders and policymakers.

Safeguarding is everyone's business. Shelter is committed to protecting the health, wellbeing and human rights of those we support, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. All our staff will be expected to observe professional standards of behaviour and conduct their work in line with our Safeguarding Policies.
