ABOUT THE ROLE:

As our Individual Giving Manager you will organise and oversee all our individual giving activities. You will develop income and engagement from individuals working across a range of income streams including but not limited to Regular Giving, Philanthropy, Legacy, Appeals and Lottery.

You will also oversee strategy with a view to gaining ongoing growth, through developing engaging fundraising campaigns and delivering high quality, timely and personalised stewardship to recruit new and retain existing supporters.

You’ll be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of using a variety of direct marketing techniques to grow Individual Giving. You will work closely with our MarComms team to create content across various channels ensuring relevant and engaging communications are sent to supporters across email, BHWT newsletters, social media, BHWT magazine and video.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• To develop and deliver strategy across Individual Giving in an effort to maximise income.
• To steward and recruit donors whilst developing and retaining regular and cash givers.
• To manage a calendar of compelling fundraising projects and campaigns including direct marketing appeals across electronic, postal and social media channels.
• To utilise insight and data to set, monitor and evaluate campaigns and revenue performance.
• Management of our BHWT lottery.
• To build and nurture effective relationships with a number of segments including major donors, regular givers and pledged legators, increasing value and loyalty from new and existing donors.
• To examine supporter data to identify patterns and trends, helping to build and develop insights into BHWT supporters.
• To segment various data audiences for postal appeals using Salesforce.
• To explore and test new methods for donor recruitment and retention.
• To analyse and report on fundraising activities to maximise return on investment and feed key findings to the CEO.
• Collaborate closely with MarComms to build understanding and support across the organisation whilst delivering rewarding, interconnected projects and appeals.
• To create and update donor records ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.
• To provide support to other areas of fundraising where appropriate.
• To undertake ad hoc tasks from time to time as required.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A strong empathy for animal welfare and the work of the BHWT
• Demonstrable successes in growing income across multiple IG revenues with a wide range of activities, campaigns, and appeals
• Proven experience of researching, evaluating, testing and implementing successful fundraising products or activities
• Experience of utilising performance metrics and KPIs for donor acquisition, cost-benefit, and return-on-investment analyses
• Proven experience of campaign management and delivery
• Track record of developing and optimising supporter-focused content and products that increase reach and engagement across a wide range of channels
• Experience of using a fundraising database and segmenting relevant fundraising data
• Ability to drive success and inspire others to ensure relevant targets and standards are met
• Ability to prioritise and manage a busy programme to ensure the smooth running of a full calendar
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade a wide range of stakeholders including suppliers, supporters, and colleagues

The Trust for Developing Communities is recruiting a Finance Manager to join the brilliant TDC Finance Team to provide high quality and valuable financial management that will support us to tackle inequality in Brighton and Hove.

The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management of TDC's finances. Overseeing core financial operations, you will support budget holders, provide critical financial insights, and manage the payroll process. Working closely with the Finance Director and Finance Assistant, you will help maintain and enhance the financial systems that underpin our charitable work.

This role will suit someone who is proactive and organised with great attention to detail. TDCs Finance Team works closely with Delivery departments and the Senior Leadership Team so the role will be varied with lots of knowledge sharing and development opportunities.

MediCinema Manager

About MediCinema

MediCinema is a unique national, UK registered charity that improves the wellbeing and enriches the quality of life of NHS patients, their families and carers through the power of the shared cinema experience and the magic of film. We achieve this by building and running cinemas in hospitals and places of care equipped with space for beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and providing free films and activities for patients of all ages. Our services help to improve emotional, mental and physical health, reducing isolation, anxiety and stress, and increasing patient resilience to help them cope with what they’re going through.

Our purpose-built in-hospital cinemas are designed to accommodate patients in hospital beds and wheelchairs, on drips or with monitors. Patients are looked after by trained volunteers who accompany them to and from the cinemas, and by two nurses who are present at each inpatient screening. In addition to our regular inpatient screenings, in 2023 we introduced new Tailored Screenings for specific patient communities, working closely with the patients and clinical teams to co-design experiences that meet the specific needs of each group. We also routinely hold personal screenings for patients who are unable to mix with other patients, are receiving palliative care or are in other sensitive situations. Through our long-standing strategic partnership with Disney, we also design and provide activities on wards and in the MediCinemas as part of our ‘Moments that Matter’ (MTM) programme.

The Role

We are looking for a Cinema Manager to build and run our Newcastle MediCinema, supporting patients in the Great North Children’s Hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary.

The post-holder will work closely with the part-time Deputy Cinema Manager (with additional support from our north-east Senior Cinema Manager), their team of nurses and volunteers, the hospital, and with central office operations team to prepare for and run successful film screenings each week.

We will run four regular inpatient screenings each week, which are mainly evenings and weekends. There will also be a programme of additional Tailored and Personal screenings on top of these four regular inpatient screenings.

The role offers a unique, exciting and extremely rewarding opportunity for someone interested in a service delivery role at the heart of our charity, involving direct contact with the patients and families we support.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

The role of the Cinema Manager is essential to ensure the effective delivery of our service. Based at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary the role is responsible for all operational aspects of the service. This includes ensuring screenings happen on schedule and as planned, recruiting and managing volunteers and nurses, and developing links with hospital staff to ensure the service is widely advertised and utilised.

The position would be part of the larger cinema managers team (all of whom operate remotely at various hospital sites) and report to the National Cinema Manager who is based in our central office in London. This position would suit someone who is self-motivated, wants a varied and interesting role and has an interest in film, healthcare and helping to improve people’s wellbeing.

MediCinema is a small team and staff members are expected to support each other and share cross-organisational work in addition to fulfilling individual responsibilities.

The Person

We are looking for a high energy, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual who is passionate about helping people and delivering impactful and effective services. They should be a warm, welcoming and positive person who can demonstrate the following skills and qualities: 

• Strong organisational skills with a good attention to detail.

• Experience in using IT and an ability to quickly learn and understand new systems and technology. Please note full training on ingesting films and running the projection equipment will be provided so direct projection experience, while beneficial, is not required.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to caringly and openly relate to and build relationships with a wide variety of people, from children, family members, volunteers and centre staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability, and enjoyment of a working environment where no two days are the same.
• Demonstrate tact and sensitivity when dealing with people with a variety of needs and be aware of issues relating to confidentiality and safeguarding.
• Interest in healthcare, wellbeing and/or film & cinema.
• A sense of humour and congenial demeanour to help patients and families feel at ease and enjoy their MediCinema experience.

In this role you will be leading on content, managing the calendar and working with our wider teams on the planning and delivery of Marie Curie campaigns including the Great Daffodil Appeal and the Nobody Should Die in Poverty campaign. This role is vital to the organisation; collaborating with colleagues and key stakeholders across the charity to bring our brand, our services, and our mission to life online.

You will be responsible for:

Channel management and reputation: you will manage daily content across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and other social platforms with a combined audience of nearly 800,000 followers.

Social media strategy: you will also be responsible for the development of social media strategy for key campaign activity, e.g. Great Daffodil Appeal, National Day of Reflection, and brand campaigns, as well as ensuring social media is integrated into wider communications and marketing plans.

Content creation: leading on content across our national channels, you will work with colleagues in the PR, Content and Creative teams to plan and develop daily content.

Budget management and paid activity: you will lead on our organic paid strategy, working closely with our Digital Marketing Manager, and liaise with external agency on a weekly basis to review and refine our approach. You are the budget holder for this activity, including decision making to optimise best performing content and to maximise reach and engagement.

Regional strategy: you will lead on our regional social media strategy reflecting our aim to become a place-based organisation, working with key stakeholders across the nations, to ensure our local presence is engaging, vibrant and complements our national activity.

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps of Lebanon.

We are seeking a dynamic Supporter Retention Manager to take MAP’s retention programme to new heights and contribute significantly to sustainable income growth. In this pivotal role, you will develop and implement retention strategies and plans with a focus on regular giving and supporter journeys that deepen loyalty and grow life-time-value. You’ll lead multi-channel campaigns and innovate supporter journeys, ensuring MAP’s loyal supporters stay engaged and inspired.  Duties and key responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy 

• Build and inspire a high-performing, results-oriented team focused on delivering sustainable income to maintain and build on recent growth.  

• Hire, performance manage, support and develop the Individual Giving Fundraising Officer.  

• Lead the development and delivery of Individual Giving strategies, leading on MAP’s Individual Giving retention strategy with a focus on loyalty, regular giving and lifetime value.

Planning and Management of Campaigns

• Collaborate with the Head of team and peers to develop team plans aligned with the Fundraising strategy.  

• Ensure the team create and optimize insight-driven, supporter-led campaigns, working with the Marketing Manager and Insights lead.

• Ensure processes and systems are in place to track and meet KPIs, including the development of robust testing plans to optimize campaigns based on insights.  

• Manage and motivate a range of agency partners and suppliers.  

• Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising legislation and stay updated on changes in relevant thinking and laws. 

Innovation 

• Lead the investigation, testing, and implementation of product innovations using agile methods to test and learn with efficiency. 

• Develop bespoke, audience-led supporter journeys, including ongoing journeys for UK and international supporters.   

• Proactively stay ahead of emerging trends, and thrive working in a fast-paced, agile manner, acting on learnings to optimize activity. 

Budget Management 

• Create annual budgets for the Individual Giving programme, setting income and expenditure targets, with support from the Head of team.  

• Manage the retention budget, including the regular giving budget, and report on management accounts, reforecast, and assess risk levels.  

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education/training

• Relevant direct marketing/fundraising qualification and/or equivalent experience. 

Knowledge / Experience

• Relevant experience in fundraising and/or marketing, with experience of direct marketing and developing supporter/customer journeys and campaigns to build long-term loyalty, engagement and income growth. 

• Experience managing a regular giving or loyalty programme. 

• Confident with end-to-end project management, including managing multiple projects and priorities at once.   

• Experience leading multi-channel, data-led campaigns, including loyalty and cross/upsell/reactivation activity - with evidence of engagement and income growth across channels including mail, email, SMS and TM.

• Strong track record in developing direct marketing strategies.    

• Experience in strategic planning, project management, budgeting and forecasting.   

• Experience managing external stakeholders and agency partners – including creative/DM, print, SMS/TM and fulfilment agencies.    

• Experience in analysing and presenting data for informed decision-making, as well as leading others to develop testing plans and optimise campaigns. 

Skills

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic, motivated and committed Team Manager, with extensive experience of working with adults with a learning disability/autism and complex needs to join Outward.

About You

• You will have significant management experience of working in a similar setting.

Ideally you will have as a minimum:

o 3 years’ experience of delivering person centred support to people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern. (E)

o A minimum of 1 years’ experience of managing a service for people with a learning disability/autism and complex needs including behaviours of concern. (E)

• You will hold a qualification in Positive Behaviour Support Coaching (BILD accredited), NAPPI level 2 (or equivalent) or a willingness to gain the qualifications within the first 3 months of employment.  (E)

Demand for our specialist tutoring programmes for Children Looked After, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) continues to increase and we are seeking an excellent addition to our team to support the increased demand for our provision and to support the continued scaling of our organisation.

The Organisation

Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have 12 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually. 

As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with over 200 qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. Tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. Our programmes will help the students to overcome barriers to learning, help them build trusted relationships, increase their aspirations, and fulfil their potential. What is the Role?

The Partnerships Account Manager will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions. With a focus on building and sustaining long-term school and local council relationships, the Partnerships Account Manager will work closely with clients to understand their needs, expand our service offerings, and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction. 

The post holder will manage two administrators who will provide essential bid-writing and administrative support to facilitate efficient and effective client management.

The post holder would benefit from experience or an understanding of working in a small, high-growth organisation. 

The role will be suited to those who have held the title: SENCO, Head of Department, Advisory Teacher, Inclusion Coordinator or Designated Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

   • Proactively seek new business opportunities within assigned regions to grow the client base.

   • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with key clients, ensuring their evolving needs are met and service offerings are aligned.

   • Lead regular client review meetings to discuss progress, gather feedback, and identify additional service opportunities.

   • Manage internal relationships to ensure what matters to clients is communicated internally using the proper channels, to allow for effective delivery by our Operations teams. 

   • Maintain good internal stakeholder relationships with our Operations teams to ensure high client demands are balanced with our processes and team capacity. 

2. Strategic Planning and Development

   • Collaborate with Senior Leaders to develop strategies for client retention and growth.

   • Work closely with the wider partnerships team to align on strategic objectives and ensure seamless service delivery across functions.

   • Participate in client and industry events to represent the organisation, expand networks, and identify new business opportunities.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

   • Monitor client engagement, satisfaction levels, and service outcomes; produce regular progress reports for management.

   • Oversee tracking and analysis of client-related statistics to ensure targets are met and clients receive impactful, value-driven service.

   • Manage and track client data and prospect pipelines using CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.

   • Report to SLT on accounts, Tenders, Bids, client meetings on a regular basis

   • Be curious to explore our Salesforce system data, understanding and interpreting delivery and impact data 

4. Team Management and Support Coordination

   • Lead, mentor, and manage two administrators focused on bid-writing, tender management, and client-related administration.

   • Support administrators in producing and reviewing high-quality bid documents and responses that align with client requirements and enhance our partnership outcomes.

   • Provide oversight to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently, supporting smooth client interactions and consistent follow-through.

   • Work with other leads like allocations and recruitment to ensure we can fulfil referrals

   • Foster a strong working relationship between bid writers and recruitment to ensure we can find tutors and go for the right bids. 

5. Bid Management and Process Improvement

   • Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bids, working closely with administrators to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

   • Continuously review and improve internal processes to optimise bid management, client onboarding, and service delivery.

   • Report on bid submission performance, review client feedback to continuously improve. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of the UK Education Sector.

• Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.

• Strong communication skills, particularly in face-to-face and telephone interactions, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-lasting relationships.

• Experience managing a small team, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure high-performance standards.

• High level of empathy and commitment to supporting vulnerable and underserved communities.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet both short- and long-term deadlines effectively.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking client data, leads, and progress.

• Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to address issues independently and provide client-focused solutions.

• Able to work in a high pressure environment, whilst taking initiative, we would want the postholder to ask for support when needed.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.

• Knowledge of safeguarding requirements and best practices for handling sensitive information.

• Experience in bid-writing, tender management, or grant applications.

A high-level understanding of the issues faced by women affected with homelessness, substance misuse, and the effects of complex trauma—including violence against women and girls (VAWG)—is essential. You will engage with clients across the spectrum of recovery, from those in pre-contemplation stages to those who are committed to positive change.

This role requires a strong commitment to making a meaningful impact, combining strategic oversight with empathetic, hands-on leadership to drive effective service delivery.

About you:

• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of complex issues effecting women including DV, VAWG, Mental Health, Women’s Health and Substance Misuse.
• Experience of, or a strong awareness and understanding of staff and service management and the ability to lead, motivate and develop the skills of both staff and service users, and to motivate and manage a quality service committed to achieving excellence.

The opportunity

We are seeking a skilled, experienced, and driven Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company’s growth and development.
