The Royal Scottish Forestry Society, formed in 1854, is an educational charity focussing on promoting the understanding of trees, woods and forestry.
Every year RSFS puts on what we believe to be the most extensive programme of practical forestry events across Scotland. The Society has published a semi-academic journal, Scottish Forestry, since 1858 promoting all aspects of good practice in forestry.
Having agreed a refreshed strategy in 2023, RSFS is now looking to increase its delivery resource. Who we are looking for
You will be a personable, dynamic self-starter, used to being the first point of contact within the organisation. As RSFS is a virtual organisation, you must be highly-organised and able to work independently contributing to the overall team outcomes.
The principal functions of the role will be to support the Board in advancing its mission and representing RSFS to members and the community:
- Support our five Regions in planning and delivery of Regional Field Days and the Annual Study Tour;
- Manage the definition, planning and delivery of paid training events;
- Maintain links with members, partners, stakeholders and sector organisations;
- Develop and promote membership of the Society to a broad and relevant constituency;
- Evaluate and implement procedures for RSFS, and as appropriate for Cashel Forest Trust;
- Ensure, in conjunction with our Secretariat, that RSFS remains in compliance with prevailing laws and regulations; and
- Other duties as required by the role.
Outline terms and conditions
- The role is for 21 hours per week;
- A full-time equivalent salary of £45,000 to £55,000, pro rated for the contracted hours, to be agreed depending on experience;
- 28 days paid holiday pro rated for the contracted hours;

Volunteer Manager
We are seeking an experienced manager to provide volunteering expertise and insight to enable significant income growth across the team.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering home working and flexible hours.

The Role
This is an exciting role which will be crucial in driving our Regional Fundraising vision to be at the heart of our communities. We need an army of recognisable volunteers beside us in all our communities, empowered to drive lasting change for people affected by stroke and support our plans for income growth.
Your team will be proactively acquiring new volunteers through various products and propositions. Leading the design and delivery of a high value network of ‘business boards’ and testing new, innovative ways to enable our supporters to donate their time to us. To deliver this you will lead on specific projects, role and proposition design, reporting and planning, and work collaboratively with others across the team and wider Customer Experience directorate.
Reporting to the Relationships Lead you will lead your team (one direct report), coach members of the wider team and be a valuable member of the Regional Fundraising management team.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Develop and deliver new volunteer products and propositions
· Responsible for all volunteer experience across the Regional Fundraising Team including volunteer platforms and technology to support efficient and effective ways of working
· To ensure effective line management of the team.
· To provide coaching to support the development of volunteering with other members of the wider Regional Fundraising team
About You
We are looking for someone with a passion for volunteering and significant experience of project planning and problem solving. You will be driven to deliver excellent experiences for volunteers which support income delivery.
You will have experience of:
· Delivering targets with successful outcomes.

· Budget development, planning and forecasting and an understanding of risk, mitigation and contingency planning.

Main Purpose of Job:
We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with excellent relationship management skills to help build resilient and profitable income streams for the Somerset Cricket Foundation (SCF) and extend the reach of the charity’s profile. This will include working with existing and new corporate relationships, individuals and Trusts & Foundations.
You will develop and use stewardship tools to guide donors and partnerships through their giving journey; including cultivation plans, proposals, and reports. You will be involved in sourcing and presenting tailored information, making appropriate financial and non-financial requests.

Founded in 2007, Electric Storm Youth (ESY) is a youth work charity based in Lancing, West Sussex. The Role

Role purpose
As Digital and Social Media Manager, you will be using digital communication channels to support the engagement of our community of supporters, partners, patients, families and staff in the work of the charity and helping realise our shared ambition with the Trust to be national leaders in the delivery of patient care and health innovation.
The Digital and Social Media Manager is part of a collaborative and creative team responsible for the development and delivery of the CW+ Communications and Marketing strategy, including on- and offline communications, PR and media, donor stewardship and marketing collateral, and events support.

- Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing to ensure effective, data-driven use of CW+ digital channels (website and social media) in support of marketing, communications and fundraising plans.
- Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing to develop the annual social media plan.
- Working closely with the Public Fundraising Manager to ensure that the charity’s fundraising activities are being effectively supported and promoted across all channels.

Key terms and benefits

As the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning and implementation of our individual giving programme of fundraising and activities, aimed at individuals. It will be the Individual Giving Manager’s responsibility to generate significant income through individual gifts, campaigns and appeals, regular giving, in memoriam giving, lottery and legacies, and to increase activity and income from these sources.
Your primary focus will be on recruiting new donors, retention through a gold standard supporter journey and income growth for these vital areas of fundraising, all while leading a dedicated team. You will be responsible for delivering innovative and creative appeals as well as supporting the fundraisers responsible for in-memory and donor acquisition to achieve their targets and objectives.
Individual Giving is a growing income stream for Birmingham Hospice, and this have been recognised by the Executive Team who are investing in this area, in particular regular giving and legacies.

Job Purpose
We are seeking a creative and driven philanthropy manager to join our team on a permanent basis. Working alongside members of the wider team, you will help deliver the best possible experience to some of the charity’s most committed donors through a mixture of bespoke events, personalised communications, and recognition opportunities across our hospital sites.
Specifically, this role will lead the team’s efforts in working with our mid-level donors, developing our first ever patrons’ programme and providing them with a gold-standard experience that ensures continued support of the Royal Free Charity.
You will play an important role within our philanthropy & campaigns team, helping to build relationships, and increase income, in a pivotal year for the charity. The role will offer significant scope for development, giving you the opportunity to grow your relationship-building, communication, and project management skills in a supportive, ambitious, and high-performing team.
The role reports to the senior philanthropy manager.
Responsibilities
Leading the Royal Free Charity’s patrons’ programme
· Lead all aspects of the Royal Free Charity’s patrons’ programme, from recruitment through to stewardship and renewal efforts.
· Work with senior stakeholders to develop and launch a new strategy for the programme, illustrating the potential overlap between patronage and other areas of support for the charity, as well as opportunities to uplift levels of support or additional gifts.
· Manage the day-to-day delivery of the patrons’ programme including coordinating the renewals process and responding to enquiries.
· Effectively promote the programme across a range of audiences, working with colleagues to identify and recruit prospects and deliver retention activity to uplift individuals to patronage and beyond.
· Develop and deliver the engagement programme for patrons, collaborating with colleagues on stewardship and cultivation plans including a programme of communications and touchpoints, including events.
· Draft engaging materials, such as letters, invitations, and thank you communications, to ensure patrons feel valued and have a positive donor experience.
· Support colleagues who manage relationships with patrons by ensuring key materials are shared, and monitoring when annual renewals are due.
· Manage updates to patron recognition across our hospital sites, ensuring names are listed in accordance with donor wishes, and are added or removed at the appropriate time.
Leading the Royal Free Charity’s mid-level programme
· Alongside the patrons’ programme, lead and deliver a mid-level giving retention and recruitment strategy, for donors giving between £1,000 and £10,000 to the charity each year, working with colleagues to understand potential opportunities for uplift in giving.
· Support the development and delivery of engaging events, and bespoke communications for mid-level donors.
· Ensure that mid-level donors have the best possible experience of giving to the charity, by engaging with colleagues on the development of appeals to this audience, stewarding those giving at this level, and attracting new supporters to grow the programme.
· Contribute to analysis and commentary on the performance of the programme.
· Work with the public fundraising team to thank mid-level donors to fundraising appeals, creating updates and reports, and providing an excellent supporter experience to maximise the opportunity for a longer-term relationship beyond specific appeals.
· Work closely with charity colleagues and external suppliers to ensure fundraising activities are delivered to agreed plans, budgets, and timelines.
· Support the fundraising activities of the wider philanthropy & campaigns team through identifying donors who may give major gifts or be interested in legacy giving.
Cross-team working and individual development
· Lead the team’s work in stewarding existing legacy pledgers.
· Build relationships across the charity and with Royal Free London staff to enhance own work, raise the visibility of fundraising, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
· Represent the philanthropy & campaigns team, where appropriate, on cross-charity projects.
· Take time for personal development, contributing learning and ideas to the wider team.
· Keep up to date with fundraising sector trends and how they can be applied to our work.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated £4.5 million through donations in 2023/2024, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multi-million-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the Royal Free Hospital site.
