We are looking for a standout relationship manager to join our fantastic team of fundraisers who work tirelessly to raise funds for Young Lives vs Cancer. This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.
A great personality and team ethic are really important in this role as you will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. This role sits within the ‘Regional Engagement’ team and we need someone with natural customer service skills who wants to deliver a legendary experience to all of their supporters. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.
The North West region (made up of Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside & Greater Manchester) is filled with some of our most committed supporters and there is so much opportunity to grow our supporter base across the region. Our Social Workers and Manchester Home from Home support families from across the region and beyond, and building relationships with this team is a must.

About the role:
The Advice Service Manager is responsible for all advice team operations and developing the Kinship advice pathway.
You’ll manage a team to deliver a consistent, high quality and effective service. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing systems and monitoring service quality and performance.
Continuously improving the service, embracing digital solutions and creating efficiencies and processes to drive performance, you’ll increase our ability to provide more support to kinship carers across England and Wales.
You’ll ensure that kinship carers are able to access the information and advice they need in an accessible and consistent way within a clear operational framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high quality, targeted and tailored advice to kinship carers in England and Wales.
- Develop a service framework that delivers a consistent service within clear timeframes.
- Set out clear expectations for enquiry response across all channels.
- Manage daily advice line operations, including work on cases, data and continuous improvement.
- Act as deputy designated safeguarding officer (DDSO) providing clear advice on actions needed when safeguarding concerns are raised.
- Develop and manage a high performing team.
Essential criteria includes:
- Substantial working knowledge of advice service delivery frameworks.
- Working knowledge of call handling and client record systems.
- Working knowledge of assessing the needs of individuals (e.g. social care, financial and legal) to provide appropriate advice and information.
- Substantial experience managing an advice service or similar, ideally in a health, social care or charitable organisation.
- A strong background in advice work with proven experience in an advice-giving role.

The College of Policing is the professional body for the police service in England and Wales who work to share knowledge and good practice, set standards, and support professional development for police officers and staff.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, these roles will provide professional finance business partnering support and advice to Cost Centre Managers, including preparing and evaluating accurate and timely annual and monthly budgets, forecasts and trend analysis, to enable effective and appropriate financial planning across the College.

The key duties of these Finance Business Partners will be:
- Act as lead business contact for providing a professional finance business partnering service to designated Cost Centre Managers.
- Develop effective working relationships with stakeholders to improve their knowledge of financial management and forecasting, whilst providing appropriate robust challenge when required.
- Complete monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts for your Cost Centres providing sufficient analysis and narrative to inform business and operational decisions.
- Analyse monthly performance to budget and KPIs, evaluating variance impact and identifying trends to support, challenge and provide options in the cost-efficient management of resources.
- Reconcile budgets, accruals, prepayments and other financial records for year-end.
- Engage with Cost Centre Managers on organisational or business-related proposals, provide helpful and meaningful financial advice to support business case submissions.
- Drive effective strategic and operational decision making for budget managers.
- Support the design, development and continuous improvement of finance processes and quality and system improvement projects.
The successful candidate will have:
- Part-qualified with a CCAB qualification or evidence of equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Experience of working in a management accounting, finance business partnering or related financial role.
- Ideally experience working in the public sector, but this is by no means essential.
- Proven experience of working collaboratively, including working with internal and external people in positions of influence to develop and implement customer-focused business solutions.
- Ability to analyse, summarise and communicate financial data and information clearly and accurately to non-financial budget managers.
- Ability to provide constructive challenge to budget managers.

Collaborate closely with parish priests and lay leadership teams to offer fundraising support and implement Planned Giving campaigns. Liaise with parish and central finance teams to monitor the results of these campaigns, devising reports for the Head of Communications and Chief Operating Officer
• Guide and advise parish leadership teams to craft messages and communications that support fundraising and engage donors. About the role:
The fundraising team raise approximately £400K annually and aspiring to grow by over half a million by 2025. You will be responsible for leading and growing income via the charities Corporate Partnerships and Sporting Challenges. The ideal candidate will have high-level experience in corporate fundraising.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide excellent account management to some of the charities existing and new corporate relationships.
- Carry out effective prospect research.
- Engage companies in our sporting challenges.
- Nurture effective relationships with corporate partners to achieve the best outcomes for the charity.
- Manage and grow the charities portfolio of challenge events to maximise income from this fundraising stream to achieve and exceed set income and expenditure targets, offering opportunities for engagement, and fundraising across the calendar year.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A proven track record of successfully managing a charity’s corporate partnerships and sporting challenges.
- Good knowledge of the principals of customer service/supporter care and donor development.
- Sound knowledge of GDPR and the impact on fundraising in terms of on-going consent and deletions of donors.
- Significant experience of working within a charity in a similar fundraising role.
- Experience of developing new fundraising products and building a programme of engagement to grow fundraising income.
- Experience of managing events, preferably sporting challenge events.

The HALO Trust are looking for an experienced and driven Philanthropy and Grants Manager to lead and develop high value relationships with philanthropic donors, with a focus on Trust and Foundations (and potentially corporates).
The Global Philanthropy Team works to secure support for the delivery of vital projects to save lives and protect livelihoods in conflict affected countries around the world, as well as build organisational resilience and support innovative areas of work. HALO’s philanthropic income has grown significantly in recent years, driven by introductions from our network of trustees, ambassadors and advocates and our focus on strategic and transformational partnerships. About the role:
The HALO Trust has more than doubled in size over the last eight years by growing support from both Governments and philanthropic donors. Global income from philanthropic donors (including the US) has significantly increased over the past five years – from circa £4 million to £15 million in 2022/23 and reaching a further peak of £44 million in 2023/24 in response to exceptional donor support for Ukraine. Job Responsibilities:
- Lead growth within a portfolio of high value (six and potentially seven figure) relationships by providing excellence in supporter stewardship and through the development and delivery of relationship strategies, in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy and Head of Global Grant Partnerships
- Support senior HALO staff, advocates and trustees to engage and inspire individuals linked to agreed relationships
- Work with international programme teams to ensure the development of high-quality proposals and reports to tight deadlines

Essential Requirements:
- Three years' experience of personally leading successful relationships with high value philanthropic donors (Trust and Foundations, corporates or high net worth individuals or equivalent), including those giving at the six or seven figure level
- Experience of building effective relationships with advocates linked to philanthropic donors
- An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with staff and colleagues in different cultural environments
- Outstanding written skills with the ability to work with programme and finance colleagues to design robust project proposals, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation
- Confident in working with financial information including project budgets
- Excellent written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding interpersonal skills including ability to demonstrate tact, sophistication and gravitas
- Experience of working with a fundraising database to maximise relationship development
