The Cathedral is running an ambitious programme of events of a wide variety. We are looking for an enthusiastic events professional to join the team which welcomes a large number of clients of many different types in order to generate much needed income for the Cathedral. The Events Assistant provides operational support to the Events team within Guildford Cathedral Enterprises, which is charged with delivering income from events, the Shop and the Cafe Restaurant.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, and professional fundraiser to join the team at The New School.
As the Head of Fundraising, you will develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, generating significant income through a variety of channels, including (but not limited to) trusts and foundations, events, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and major donations. We are looking for someone with a strong track record in senior-level charitable fundraising, who can combine strategic planning with excellent execution.
You should bring advanced knowledge of a variety of fundraising channels, compliance expertise, and strong teamworking skills. Experience in the education or youth sectors and relevant qualifications in fundraising are advantageous.

This is a broad role, with aspiration to become permanent, with further recruitment to develop and fundraising and philanthropic partnerships team, which you will lead.

This permanent post is ideal for someone who is keen to develop communications skills as well as build external affairs and policy experience. The role provides the opportunity to join a small agile team at the Council of Deans of Health, the representative body for the UK’s university faculties engaged in education and research for nursing, midwifery and the allied health professions.
We are looking for someone with a broad skill set including experience in developing and delivering communications plans, strong interpersonal skills, good organisation, and clear written communication. The successful candidate will be able to balance varied tasks and provide support to colleagues in the Council of Deans of Health team.
Main responsibilities:
- Leading the Council's communications; planning and delivering communications, writing and creating content for internal and external audiences.
- Developing and implementing communications plans for our Student Leadership Programme and other externally funded projects.
- Supporting the Council's policy campaigns, themed months (such as Innovation Month), and the promotion of events.
- Supporting specific projects linked to our parliamentary and public affairs work.
- Undertake any such duties or general tasks and hours of work as may reasonably be required.
The Council has an office in Woburn House, central London although all staff are currently working in a mixed home/office working model. The postholder should therefore be able to attend the office as required. The salary for this post is £31,000 – £37,500 depending on experience. The Council offers a 10% pension contribution, flexible approaches to working, travelling opportunities and continued development.

Marie Curie, the UK’s leading end-of-life charity, is seeking an Associate Director of Local Fundraising to lead their local fundraising operation and ensuring they maximise the value from local relationships.
Marie Curie is the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all four nations delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Their leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end-of-life, and their campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they’re likely to die from.
The Associate Director of Local Fundraising is a senior role within the Income, Innovation and Engagement directorate; a highly ambitious and professional team which is working to grow income and strengthen the organisation’s voice across the UK as the leading end of life care charity in the UK. Marie Curie has ambitious financial growth targets and needs to drive net contribution, engagement and awareness if they are to achieve their fundraising ambitions and subsequently their service growth goals.
The primary focus of the role is to maximise the net contribution from local fundraising but also to drive community awareness and engagement with Marie Curie. This is a key role for Marie Curie, responsible for managing a team of over 100 people and having responsibility for over £20 million Income, the recruitment of legacy prospects, the delivery of fundraising events and the strategic approach of supporter facing volunteers.
The Fundraising teams based in communities across the UK are responsible for raising money, driving legacy sign ups, building event participation and profit and growing awareness and engagement of the need for and impact of the charity’s work amongst supporters and people who have the potential to support Marie Curie. With all local relationships managed by this role’s teams, the post will ensure that supporters have a connected, seamless experience.
The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience in a fundraising environment with a successful track record in increasing voluntary income or revenue. They will also have experience in developing both annual operational and three-year strategic plans, developing creative and innovative solutions and digital marketing and in working with working with volunteers and engaging local communities. This will be combined with a proven track record in managing large high-performing, geographically dispersed teams.
This is an ideal career opportunity for an individual with extensive community fundraising experience looking to either broaden their portfolio or take the next step towards a Director of Fundraising role.
