We are seeking a Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) to work mainly on our Research Grant Programme. As part of our Research Funding team, you will support high quality and innovative research on the effects of diet, nutrition, physical activity, and body size on cancer prevention and survival, managing an international portfolio of projects and working closely with leading researchers around the world.
In addition to the Research Grant programme, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other Research Funding activities such as our Academy programme and work closely with colleagues across the Science department and with other departments such as PR & Editorial and Fundraising.
The Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) will work mainly on the post award phase (e.g. active monitoring of funded projects, liaison with our grant holders, supporting our Academy programme initiative and evaluation of the impact of our funded research).
You will have experience working in a fast-paced research environment, whether in academia or research administration/management. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging a diverse range of audiences. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.

Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a national charity to recruit for the Senior Fundraising Operations & Prospect Development Executive in order to support the implementation and management of the charity’s world-class fundraising operations model and working with the charity internal teams to review and improve key processes and policies which support the organisation fundraising activities.
As a Senior Fundraising Operations & Prospect Development Executive you will:
- Manage prospect research subscriptions, acting as account manager as needed and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to review these as needed, in line with agreed budget.
- Provide research to identify new high net-worth prospective donors and give insight on existing donors (individuals and organisations) who have the capacity and propensity to donate at a high level. Make evidenced recommendations on the type of approach and levels of ask to maximise income.
- Deliver a range of research including data mining and cold prospecting, qualification, in-depth profiles, network/stakeholder mapping, event guest list prospecting and briefs.
- Work with key stakeholders to identify new ways of working, enhance and improve fundraising operations processes and systems and support the management of central process resources.
- Support the management of the processes which underpin our prospect identification, qualification, and development. Working with teams to ensure the records are updated and accurate.
- Assist with the reporting on team performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as project deliverables within the fundraising operations remit.
- Support the management of the wider team’s prioritisation process and ensure information is available for periodic reviews.
- Where required support the implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
To be successful, you must have experience:
•Previous experience working within a fundraising operations role or similar field (supporter care, data, insight, or prospect research).
•An understanding of the role of fundraising operations within a charity environment.
•Previous experience in driving forward process improvements, implementing new processes or systems, and working with colleagues to embed such change.
•Understanding of what good supporter (or customer) experience and stewardship looks like and the role it plays.
•Proficiency in using relationship management databases and an understanding of data management best practice.
•Desirable previous experience in using CRMs (Customer Relationship Management) or other data analysis tools to create reports, prospect supporters and monitor KPIs.
•Developed knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, in particular SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and an understanding of how they can be used to improve processes.
•Knowledge of prospect research strategies, specialist tools and techniques and the role it plays within a fundraising context.
•Experience in identifying and qualifying potential new high-value funding prospects, including major donors, corporate partners, trusts and foundations.
•Experience in providing high-quality in-depth prospect research, including full profiles and due diligence assessments.

The Role
The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.
You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.
You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordination of the live music programme
- Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required

I am excited to be working with a fantastic community charity in search of an HR Administrator. This is an immediate start, full-time (may consider pert-time 4 days a week), London based – hybrid, temp role for around 1 – 2 months. As HR Administrator your role will be to provide a day-to-day HR admin service to employees and HR admin support to the part time HR team and have day-to-day responsibility for the HR and Recruitment Outlook mailboxes.
Main Responsibilities:
New Starter Onboarding Process
Leading on leaver admin process
Advertising jobs (on Applied and external jobsites), arranging interviews and supporting colleagues with recruitment queries.
Invoicing and Credit Card Reconciliation: processing invoices on Finance system and the monthly credit card reconciliation for HR transactions.
Payroll - accurately updating and maintaining ADP, the HR & Payroll database. Uploading documents, running reports. Supporting HRBPs with payroll queries.
Regularly updating and auditing other HR data to ensure information is up to date (e.g., pensions data, new starter training, wellbeing data).
Employment checks: maintaining the DBS list and processing DBS checks for existing and new staff.
SharePoint: maintaining HR Self Service folder, ensuring documents are up to date.
Ensuring appraisal forms are logged and uploaded to ADP.
Probation: Managing the probation period process
Minute taking at HR/relevant meetings and sharing with colleagues.

A champion organisation for human rights, committed to standing up for those who are being denied justice, truth, freedom and dignity, is looking for a 2-month temporary Community Organiser to assist their CORE team.
Key responsibilities for this post will include:
- Building on the ongoing partnership with communities and partners, helping to build and diversify the organisation's movement throughout the UK.
- Working with their Trade Union partners and other campaigning partners to identify and facilitate opportunities to enhance their impact, including developing plans to achieve their campaign and organisational objectives.
- Recruiting, developing and supporting local/regional activist teams, advising and providing tools to develop plans for campaigns and activities relevant to the regional context.
- Mentoring and supporting partners/activist leaders, aiding their development as organisers and defenders of human rights.
- Maximising the use of appropriate communication channels including online and offline, to strengthen relationships and create audience focussed, accessible and engaging communications, events and materials in line with their movement to maximise Trade Union affiliation.
- Ensuring that necessary data is accurately updated on the organisation's database to be used for further analysis, learning and training purposes.
- Servicing and supporting the Trade Union network, their committees and other relevant groups to develop and execute plans in line with their movement strategy.
- Facilitating and supporting relevant partner/activist Committees to identify and develop tactical and strategic campaigning partnerships, including working with defined Campaigning Communities Committees to enable engagement and participation of other affiliated groups, activists and supporters.
- Using allocated budget parameters to design, manage and report on budgets.
- Keep up to date knowledge of external developments in community organising, activism, campaigning and communications, using insights to test and encourage new activities and ideas to progress organisational objectives.
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Worked in a similar post previously, or experience of successfully establishing, retaining and mobilising activist groups.
- Understanding of and passion and commitment to human rights.
- Experience within administrative support and event management, specifically community organising to affect change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence in public speaking to large groups.
- Strong ability to network and maintain relationships with stakeholders (particularly unions), including due diligence, risk assessment and mitigation and mediation of complaints.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to Equality and Diversity.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Fundraising Officer based in London.
We offer hybrid working with a minimum of one day per week at our London Head Office
(close to Liverpool Street, Moorgate and Old Street stations).
Our charity
The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming ‘Home from Home’
where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we’re more than bricks and mortar,
our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.
Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing
around 3,500 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the
hospital means that they can be by their sick child’s side and have one less thing to worry
about.
The role
This is a wide-ranging community fundraising role. Activities include supporting family
fundraising and third-party events in the south such as The Royal Parks Half Marathon and
The Brighton Marathon. You will be required to forge, develop and grow new and existing
fundraising opportunities and relationships with local businesses, community organisations
and schools.
Key to this, is the provision of a sensitive and effective supporter journey for new and
existing supporters.
Also, you will work collaboratively with the fundraising department and the
communications and marketing team to ensure effective integration of campaigns and
activities.
You will actively cultivate and recruit new and existing supporters and volunteers to
participate in a range of third-party events and support the organisation.
You will lead on Supermarket charitable schemes, including research, support with copy
and applications to reach targets set for this area of income.
About you
Ideally you have successful community fundraising experience including provision of a good
supporter journey.
You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will equally be as
comfortable supporting families who stay with us who want to fundraise, as you are
presenting to a room full of students, or potential volunteers.
You have good organisational skills and are comfortable working to objectives and targets.
You are able to work with a level of autonomy and innovation to develop your fundraising
portfolio and to increase our profile particularly in the areas close to our houses.
Ultimately this is a great role for anyone who loves community fundraising and
understands that no two days are the same.
An enhanced DBS check for this role is required.
