About the role:
As a Recruitment/HR Administrator, you will be joining a small dedicated Recruitment team providing an effective and efficient recruitment service to meet the organisation’s resourcing and staffing needs. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries and requests to the team; providing a high level of customer service throughout the recruitment cycle.
You will also be responsible for carrying out the administrative tasks for the recruitment and on-boarding of new staff and ensuring that our recruitment processes, continue to adhere to best practice, equality, fairness and relevant employment legislation. You will also be involved in the wider HR team's Projects on EDI and organisational changes, this will include designing and delivering training to hiring managers and wider SHP staff.
As an integral part of the HROD team you will have the opportunity to welcome new starters into the organisation with a positive attitude and insight into a flourishing career at SHP.
There is ample opportunity for the role to be worked from home, with an occasional need (e.g., 1-2 days per week) to attend our head office in King's Cross to facilitate interviews, attend team meetings and other business needs.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience of working in a busy office environment within HR and or recruitment with experience of working with and maintaining HR and Recruitment systems, including but not limited to ATS (applicant tracking system), payroll, HR and DBS services.
- A strong understanding of the key administrative tasks carried out within a recruitment process and of the legal requirements of the recruitment process and HR department.
- A pro-active approach and ability to work using own initiative.
- Able to understand and follow written policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality and securely protect data with an attention to detail with the ability to process and update information accurately.
- Strong time management skills, able to effectively manage workload, multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Able to use MS Office package (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook) at an intermediate level.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of people from candidates to hiring managers etc. and ability to work effectively as part of a team and build good working relationships at all levels.

The Role
This is an exciting role within a critical area of FILE, building our evidence base on impact and using it to support learning with a range of stakeholders. The Impact & Learning team at FILE is responsible for generating evidence and learning, enabling FILE and its partners to be as impactful as possible.
As a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist, you will be part of a small and integrated team providing support across a broad portfolio of work.
This involves collating and analysing data, creating and facilitating learning processes within FILE and with our funded partners, and ensuring evidence and insights are fed back into our strategies and those of our partners.
This team works closely with all functions across the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will perform tasks related to the collection and analysis of data as well as learning from evidence regarding FILE’s activities. This position will primarily focus on supporting four key areas:
- Monitoring: enabling and supporting the collection of robust and consistent data from partners to support their progress towards impact
- Data management: partner data collation and verification from different data sources
- Donor and Board reporting: preparation and presentation of data and evidence for our donors and board to demonstrate our progress towards impact
- Learning: enable learning at all levels of the organisation through designing and delivering learning processes with FILE staff and partners
To achieve this, you will:
- Support our portfolio and grants team in monitoring and reviewing grant documentation in line with FILE’s results framework including providing grant assessments.
- Review and verify partner reports, providing summaries for internal portfolio, executive teams and FILE’s auditing.
- Monitor progress of individual grants and portfolios including data extraction in line with FILE’s Results Framework and Case Database
- Maintain and refine as required, data collection and management tools including partner reporting templates in collaboration with our grant management team.
- Summarise relevant data for inclusion in our 6 monthly donor reports and quarterly updates for our Board and Senior Leadership Team.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager to coordinate strategic inputs from portfolio teams relating to progress and results for inclusion in donor reports.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the development and facilitation of webinars and learning sessions for FILE’s key audiences.
- Prepare and share relevant data in a compelling format bi-annual learning processes with FILE portfolio teams.
- Support our Impact and Learning Manager with the creation of new templates and methods for showcasing impact and results across a wide range of audiences.
About you

Conference Organiser and Business Development Coordinator
(Fixed term for 12 months maternity cover)

The Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery (SCTS) is a professional society for all healthcare professionals involved and interested in cardiothoracic surgery.
This role supports the main purpose of advancing science in the field of cardiothoracic surgery for the benefit of the public by encouraging and promoting excellence in the practice of cardiothoracic surgery.
The SCTS Meetings team is responsible for organising and delivering the SCTS Annual Conference for all categories of professionals including Consultants, Medical Practitioners, Nationally Appointed Surgical Trainees, Trust appointed doctors and Nurses and Allied Health Professionals.
The team work flexibly from home and on site at least one day a week (but more will be required for initial training) at our office based in the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Central London.

Job Title: Patient Support & Advocacy Officer (2 vacancies)

Role purpose
To engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients. The role will cover the main renal unit and satellite dialysis units across your designated area, and regular travel and attendance is expected across all sites.
You will be expected to deliver Kidney Care UK’s Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region, raise awareness of the service and the charity and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals and other kidney stakeholder groups in the region.
Responsibilities
- With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing
- Be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Patient Support & Advocacy Service across the region and the effective management of a caseload. This involves regular attendance at renal clinics in the region, building relationships with health and care professionals and being available for patients in the renal unit, on the phone or online, or to meet at a mutually convenient public location
- To support patients to build the skills and confidence needed to positively navigate the challenges presented by health, social care, benefits, and financial support pathways, and to overcome barriers and promote independence
- To support patients to connect with services to ensure that they are engaged in shared decision making and that their voice is central to shaping the care and support they receive

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. You'll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to support the delivery of an ambitious and exciting fundraising programme and raise income through grant-giving bodies, including Trusts and Foundations, statutory funders, and corporate foundations.
The postholder will seek to secure critical support for budget-relieving activity taking place across the Gallery, including learning and engagement and exhibitions, as well as support for acquisitions, special projects, and capital works. They will make a significant contribution to ensuring exemplary relationships with grant-makers and their representatives, and actively cultivate prospects to increase support for the Gallery.
The Fundraising Manager, Grants will work with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to develop and implement a strategy for grants fundraising and support ongoing stewardship of funder relationships.
The postholder will also support the Gallery’s ambition to grow legacy giving as part of the wider team objectives.
Key Experience, Skills and Criteria:
Essential
- Proven track record of soliciting donations from Trusts and Foundations, and statutory funders.
- Experience of engaging a wide range of stakeholders and excellent relationship management skills.
- High level of proficiency working with standard business software including MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of CRM databases such as Tessitura.
Desirable
- Experience of working within an arts/heritage environment.
- Experience of working on/knowledge of an acquisition campaign and/or National Lottery Heritage Fund application.

Key responsibilities:
Communications
- Lead on the implementation of FLEX Comms Strategy, tracking, measuring, and reporting on the effectiveness of the Charity’s communications channels.

- Develop contact management systems and/or databases (e.g. dissemination lists, media contact lists, etc.).
- Undertake media monitoring of salient issues for the team and use this monitoring to identify opportunities and new contacts.
Project management
- Design, plan, and deliver comms activities against targets;
- Manage relevant project budgets;
- Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan for comms objectives and produce progress and learning reports for internal and external purposes.
Other
- Scope, draft and support fundraising bids and reports to donors relevant to this role.
