Role Overview:

Role overview
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.
Salary: Starting at £31,294 with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.
Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are located between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. About the role
We’re looking to recruit a Research Intern to join our Conversation Programmes team and help shape a positive and sustainable future for our planet. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world, and we could be the last that can do anything about it. This is your chance to join the fight for our world.
As Research Intern, you will help us build out a knowledge database of case studies with real life examples of where environmental crime converges with financial crime. This will involve being part a small team that is responsible for delivering, updating and developing a recently launched new tool that aims to support financial institutions to better manage and mitigate the risks of deforestation and land conversion, as well as other environmental crimes and the related predicate offences, which could be potentially tied to their operations. Your role will be to review, update, translate and categorise case studies that will be uploaded onto the Environmental Crimes Financial Toolkit platform. The toolkit already has a case study database, but we want to expand the scope and scale of the cases available. The case studies will be in both Spanish and English. It is also important to be able to review, understand and categorise these case studies depending on environmental crime type.
We’re looking for someone with:
Fluency in Spanish.
Conservation focused degree or masters.
Strong communication, interpersonal & project management skills.
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from different internal functions and across departments and countries.
An understanding of environmental crimes is desirable.

The Production Officer will play a crucial role in managing workflow into the Creative, Digital and Comms teams, and coordinating creative projects.
They will be the ultimate super user of our production management tool, Hive. They will set up projects on the system, ensure the smooth running of the system day-to-day, and help trouble shoot any issues that arise. The role will also help ensure that users internally are trained and confident in using the platform.
The Production Officer will also coordinate creative projects, to ensure they are delivered smoothly and on time, as well as supporting with the management of our content and photography library.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Support with the day-to-day management of the production tool, Hive. This will include setting up projects, ensuring teams are assigned, keeping the platform up-to-date, and carrying out other administrative tasks crucial for the smooth running of Hive.
· Liaise with Hive to troubleshoot any issues and stay up to date with new features on the platform.
· Be a Hive super champion across the organisation, delivering Hive inductions for new starters.
· Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, supporting teams to brief in work to Brand, Comms and Digital.
· Support the Creative team with the production of projects, including setting timelines, managing workflow and coordinating sign-off.
· Supporting with the management of the content and photography library, ensuring that photographs are correctly uploaded and tagged, with correct consent and removed from the system on the expiry date.
· Carry out additional directorate-wide responsibilities to support the smooth running of the directorate, for example, support with workshops and planning days.
What we are looking for:
· Experience of using a production management tool in a creative or communications environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES
We expect to recruit from our members and from the community of those who stammer or those who support people who stammer (speech & language therapists, family and friends).
- Recruit and induct new volunteers to support our services, working with the Services Director and the Training & Outreach Lead.
- Work with the service managers to review training and update training modules.
- Ensure there is appropriate training, support, supervision and acknowledgement for volunteers and ensure processes comply with the charity’s values
- Research and write volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments.
- Support and recruit volunteer community leaders for our groups and networks; work with them to aim for consistent quality across the groups experience and develop an online training programme for leaders. Longer term, put a funding case together to support a training weekend for community leaders.
- Keep records on which community groups are active and identify areas of need and feedback mechanisms.
- Work with Content & Communications Lead to produce regular mailings and volunteer recruitment campaigns.
- Keep up to date with legislation, best practice and policy related to volunteering and make any necessary modifications to accommodate changes.
- Maintain the database of volunteers and ensure all volunteers are registered members.
- Manage budgets and resources, including the reimbursement of volunteer expenses.

This is a hybrid role, and all staff are expected to attend team meetings, held in London, every 6-8 weeks.

What You’ll Do

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Salary is £27000 - £29,000 (depending on experience) FTE per annum. The role covers 30 hours per week. A minimum of one day per week working in our charity office and the remaining hours working remotely which may be spread across 3-4 days depending on preference and will be discussed at the interview stage. Occasional evening and weekend work subject to our events calendar.
One-year fixed term contract however there is potential to increase working hours and / or extend contract length after 12 months subject to performance.
A full driving licence or the ability to travel to events and meetings within London and the South East is essential.
