We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. This newly created role will be crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. It will include identifying new funding opportunities as well as producing several initiatives including building our regular donors, corporate partnerships and legacy campaigns.

As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Reporting to the incoming Chief Executive, you will develop and implement the preexisting fundraising strategy and guide the organisation’s communications and PR strategy. As Head of Development, you will:

• Develop and implement the existing fundraising strategy and develop marketing and communications efforts, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging to effectively engage donors and stakeholders
• Deliver a high standard of supporter care and relationship management tailored to the level of giving, including nurturing their successful new Legacy Club
• Manage and attend an annual series of fundraising events, from relaxed open days to formal receptions
• Oversee NYJO marketing and communications
• Line manage the Development & Communications Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Ideal skills and experience: 

• Experience of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from a range of trust, statutory and/or individual sources
• Tailoring applications to appeal to a diverse range of funders/donors, which may include drawing together distinct areas of activity to create bespoke packages
• An outgoing, approachable, confident and professional manner in dealing with donors, prospects and other stakeholders
• Interest in UK Jazz and enthusiasm for working with young artists and musicians and broadening access to participatory arts for all young people

Role Summary

The Data and Operations Senior Officer is responsible for the daily management and effective operation of the Bliss CRM, Raiser’s Edge, as well as leading on key data projects to make the most of the insights and information captured in our CRM to maximise Bliss’ fundraising. This role also leads on the delivery and development of data processes which are smooth, timely and efficient, and works with stakeholders across the organisation - especially Fundraising, Finance and Digital - to ensure that colleagues have access to the right data and efficient processes to meet their needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take ownership of Bliss’ data operations, helping to support our Fundraising department – and the wider organisation – to make the best use of our CRM systems, supporter data, and internal resources to raise more money and reach more families. • Collaborate with teams to ensure donations are coded correctly and help prepare Gift Aid claims.

• Assist with the design and maintenance of the CRM database for effective data selection and reporting.
• Support the Finance Team with income reconciliation and administrative duties.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
• Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
• Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
• Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement the direct marketing retention strategy, ensuring that past learnings are built upon, and new ideas are tested.
• Develop and implement specific audience journeys for segments across both the life cycle of a DEC appeal and between appeals.
• Ensure timely and relevant communications to all direct marketing, community, and legacy audiences on the impact of their donations.
• Build an improved supporter journey strategy for new, repeat, and lapsed donors.
• Lead, design, and monitor the collection of audience insight during appeals.

Fundraising

• Develop the DEC’s donor journeys for individuals and community supporters, monitoring the development of segments and the engagement of repeat donors.
• Provide analysis during and following an appeal of performance to measure and report performance against key indicators and develop recommendations for improving impact in the next appeal.
• Support the stewardship of community fundraisers and groups in conjunction with the Supporter Services team.

Networking and building relationships

• Develop excellent working relationships with the DEC’s suppliers including creative agencies, media agencies, SMS and email suppliers, and the print/mailing house.
• Work with permanent and temporary staff at the DEC during appeals to maximise the success of the appeal.

Our helpline is a first point of contact for many older people and their families and carers as they tackle a variety of issues around finance, social engagement, housing and council tax, travel concessions such as Blue Badge and Taxi card.  You will play a crucial role in answering our busy Information & Advice Helpline phone: listening carefully and sympathetically to callers, finding solutions to their queries or issues and. The role is varied and very rewarding, and no two days are the same.

Main Duties (but not limited to)

• Providing information and signposting to callers to our Helpline and to people enquiring by email
• Entering new client referrals on our database and recording each new enquiry on our systems
• Supporting and supervising volunteers within the I&A Team

• Offering a friendly and professional first point of contact for people phoning or emailing Age UK Croydon’s I&A Service
• Listening carefully to what clients say and ensuring the response to every enquiry is centered around them.
• Finding out clients’ needs, by asking them open questions about their circumstances, and opening up opportunities to offer them holistic support.

About this role:

This role is a remote role (must be in England or Wales) within a supportive and friendly team. As the Fundraising Officer for Community and Events you will:

• Support the delivery of a successful fundraising plan that aligns with Victim Support's vision, mission and values.
• Implement and support impactful activities associated with our Community, Fundraising Events and Individual Giving income streams.
• Develop, advertise and recruit fundraisers into a calendar of third-party events.
• Provide excellent supporter care by offering support, guidance and fundraising materials to cultivate long-term relationships.
• Write and design engaging fundraising communications such as newsletters, appeals, articles, case studies and thank-you correspondence.
• Encourage and facilitate effective fundraising activity by our staff and volunteers outside the Fundraising Team.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in setting and successfully meeting goals
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with different audiences
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Good organisational skills; ability to work under own initiative, flexible and able to prioritise effectively
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases and a familiarity with social media

Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a fundraising or communications related role, and have a good working understanding and knowledge of the charity sector and available funding sources; however, this is not a requirement.

We are looking for a part time Information & Advocacy Community Support Worker in Scotland.  You will be home based living in the North of Scotland.

You will ensure that service users (children and adults) and their families, receive high quality support, from the point of diagnosis and throughout their journey, and will assist them to access funding, equipment and care and support that they are entitled to. You will join a team that makes a real difference to the lives of the people living with muscle-wasting conditions, and their families, in Scotland. The role will be primarily home based, but there will also be a requirement to attend outpatient clinics within the region, attend home visits where appropriate and to support responding to queries through the helpline and information inbox. Some travel will be required to attend meetings and events outside of Scotland. You will work with both statutory and voluntary organisations, clinicians, and health and social care professionals to ensure that people living with muscle wasting conditions get the care and support they need to live well and independently.
