The position:
The Humane League UK is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to drive impactful change for animal welfare through strategic digital marketing efforts.
This role focuses on managing our digital marketing efforts to grow and engage our supporter base. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing paid social activities and ad campaigns across platforms such as Meta and Google. You will also oversee our website’s content management and SEO, contributing to our mission by driving impactful, data-informed decisions.
This role reports to the Digital Communications Manager and will play a key role in shaping and delivering our digital communications strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

Create, launch, and manage ad campaigns on Meta and other platforms including YouTube and LinkedIn to grow and engage our supporter base.

Collaborate with our Digital Communications and Engagement Coordinator to ensure our action and acquisition driving pages on our CRM, Engaging Networks, are integrated into our website.

Measure impact and performance of ad campaigns through detailed analytics, ensuring optimisations are made for maximum effectiveness.

Manage and optimise our Google Grant account, ensuring compliance and performance.

Oversee website content management, including writing and uploading blogs and creating or updating web pages.

Measure and report on website traffic, audience behaviour, and engagement metrics.

Develop and implement SEO strategies to improve website visibility and search rankings and optimise conversions.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our digital marketing efforts align with organisational goals.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Hours:
This is a part time position of 22.5 hours per week (0.6 FTE), worked between Monday and Friday over a minimum of three days, with the working pattern to be agreed.
From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.
During the four-day week pilot, this position will remain at 22.5 hours per week, worked between Monday and Thursday over a minimum of three days, with the working pattern to be agreed. With the organisation's full-time hours changed to 30 from 37.5 during the four-day week pilot, this role will be 0.75 FTE during the trial, with the salary increased accordingly to £26,903.
This will constitute a temporary change to the successful candidate's contractual terms. If a return to a five-day week is decided, the FTE and salary will revert to 0.6 and the equivalent pro rata amount of £21,523. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

Key Relationships
· The Operations Director will report to the Chief Executive.
· The Operations Director will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working alongside the Philanthropy Director and the Programmes Director.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Finance
- Ensure SCF’s policies, systems and processes support robust and efficient management of our finances.
- Work with the CEO ensure SCF has the financial strategy required to thrive as an organisation, working alongside other members of the SLT on a medium to long term planning horizon for the organisation’s income and expenditure requirements.
- Project manage the production of annual budget and cashflow forecasts and 3-year business plan forecasts.
- Ensure financial management policies and procedures are in place and that management and annual accounts (including Trustee Annual Report) are produced accurately and on time.
- Work closely with Philanthropy & Marketing and Programmes Teams to ensure the Foundation has accurate up to date financial information.
- Oversee the annual audit process and lead for the Executive on the appointment of auditors as necessary.
- Work with the Senior Finance Manger to keep under review the charity’s payroll, accounts, finance, and other systems to ensure they are fit for purpose and value for money.
- Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a procurement and contract management system and ensuring a regular process of review of contracts and licences across all departments.
Governance
- Ensure secretariat support is provided to the Board and Finance & Governance Committee, managing production and distribution of agendas and papers, overseeing the organisation of meeting rooms, and ensuring accurate minutes are taken and produced timely.
- Oversee production, review, and implementation of SCF policies and procedures
- Ensure the Board and subcommittees are appropriately resourced and supported and receive timely and relevant information including inductions for new trustees.
- Support the Board and CEO by coordinating governance effectiveness reviews, including assisting with commissioning and supervision of external consultants.
- Act as Company Secretary, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and ensuring that decisions of the board of directors are implemented.
- Coordinate the production of an annual business plan and report to the Board on its delivery, including the quarterly Performance Report.
Operations, Performance & Quality
- Manage the recruitment and induction of new staff, liaising with SLT colleagues as necessary
- Responsible for ensuring effective line management processes and practices are in place and followed, and support line managers as necessary
- Responsible for ensuring professional development is prioritised across the organisation
- Lead on creating a healthy and psychologically safe working environment with a positive culture that promotes staff wellbeing, satisfaction and retention

- Act as SCF’s Data Controller and ensure organisational compliance with legislation by undertaking regular reviews of the information held, regularly updating and cleansing paper and electronic information sources accordingly.
- Act as the SCF Health and Safety Officer, including maintaining the Health and Safety register and ensure the Foundation has adequate first aid cover.

Overview of the Role:
We are looking for a Fundraising and Events Administrator to join our supportive and friendly team. The Fundraising and Events Administrator role reports into the Development Events Manager and supports the Events, Fellows (Patrons), Legacy and Individual Giving functions within the Department.
This role is a great introduction to the charitable sector with the opportunity to work across a range of fundraising and events functions and with a variety of donors and stakeholders. As the initial contact for all enquiries coming into the team, you will need excellent interpersonal skills and take pride in delivering a high standard of customer service. You will be proving valuable day-to-day administrative support to the Events, Fellows, Legacy and Individual Giving campaigns, such as weekly lottery and appeals. This includes supporting campaign preparation, reviewing donor data, assisting with performance analysis, and ensuring donations are processed accurately. You will also update records and ensure timely and appropriate acknowledgment, thanking and donor stewardship.
You will be working with the Development Events Manager on the planning, management and delivery of a busy programme of donor events which range from small legacy information events to major donor receptions at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The Clock Tower Sanctuary is the only drop-in day centre for young homeless people in Brighton

About the role
To contribute to The Clock Tower Sanctuary's fundraising strategy by maximising income from regional and national Trusts & Foundations, with support and guidance from the Fundraising & Communications Manager and CEO. To be responsible for the effective management of a prospect pipeline, meeting annual targets and ensuring that bids and evaluation reports are submitted to deadline. The Trusts and Foundations income will support young people who are homeless in Brighton and Hove with a safe and supportive space to shape their future. Responsibilities:
Develop and secure funding from new and known Trusts and Foundations
- Undertake prospect research, ensuring all new and known funders are captured in the pipeline
- Prepare and submit agreed number of bids on quarterly basis to meet targets, tracking conversion rates and ensuring timely feedback to Fundraising & Communications Manager
- Develop funding bids to meet operational priorities, as expressed in The Clock Tower Sanctuary's Strategic Plan
- Continue to develop in-house knowledge bank on key issues relating to youth homelessness, ensuring relevant sector reports, statistics, facts and case studies are captured and updated.
Deliver excellent supporter experience for funders
- Build good working relationships with contacts at Trusts & Foundations and key stakeholders
- Ensure reports and communications are delivered to deadline to keep funders up to date with progress against grants and any other relevant operational developments
- Ensure all internal records and Donorfy are updated on a regular basis.
Monitoring and evaluation
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure evaluation reports are submitted in a timely manner, capturing data from in-house CRM systems and qualitative case studies
- Contribute to all monitoring and evaluation, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other data protection requirements and best practice.
About You
Essential Skills
- At least two years' experience of developing funding bids for a charity
- Demonstrable track record in securing grants/donations in excess of £5k

About the role
The post-holder will deliver a high-quality counselling service to survivors and victims of domestic and sexual violence (aged 18+) that is trauma-informed, ethical and supports key outcomes. Supporting the Lead Counsellor and the wider counselling team to develop and maintain a safe, professional and accessible service.
Managing a caseload of clients accessing short to medium term counselling, providing face to face, telephone and online counselling sessions. Where clients are engaged with the criminal justice system ensuring that they are working to Pre-Trail Therapy guidance.
The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities. The post holder will work within a multi-agency setting and communicate regularly with other agencies.
This role description cannot cover every eventuality or task that may arise within this position and the post holder will be expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with the role.
Tasks and responsibilities
1. CLINICAL
· Assess and support people impacted by abuse and violence in need of therapy by delivering interventions as appropriate and supporting them in the self-management of their recovery.
· Undertake clinical assessments and make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols, refering unsuitable clients on to the relevant appropriate services or back to the referral agent as necessary, ensuring open communication with the individual throughout.
· Deliver trauma-informed short term counselling over a 8-10 week period with individuals.
· Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the service.
· Ensure that records of all activity are kept up to date for all clients in line with service protocols, best practice and the requirements of relevant statutory agencies records, including using OASIS case management system to report all support activity and monitoring information as required.
· Work closely with other members of the team ensuring onward referrals, or escalations are managed appropriately.
· Assess and integrate issues impacting recovery into therapy to support the individual holistically.
· To attend regular line management, monthly clinical supervision and participate in team meetings and peer review, to ensure safe practice.
· Escalate and safeguard risk where appropriate and respond accordingly and appropriately in relation to the ‘do no harm principal’. This may include referrals to Children Social Care, MARAC or Adults social care as appropriate. Seek advice from a Senior Service Manager in the first instance to consider and support appropriate steps.
· Contribute to the development of service policies, protocols, guidelines and strategies within area of practice as necessary.
· Coordinate and accommodate multiagency working, sharing information pertaining to risk at all times, and with a view to best support the individual throughout their journey, ensuring they are fully informed throughout.
2. PROFESSIONAL
· Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating counselling bodies (i.e. BACP, UKCP, NCPS) and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the department of health (e.g. National Institute for Clinical Excellence, RESPECT).
· Ensure that client confidentiality is protected and advocated for at all times.
· Ensure clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with manager on a regular basis as part of continuing professional development.
· Participate in individual performance review and respond to agreed objectives.
· Attend relevant conferences /workshops in line with identified professional objectives.

Role Description
This role combines expertise in safeguarding with collaboration across communities, clubs, and organisations. Acting as a trusted and proactive safeguarding presence, this role ensures that everyone engaging in physical activity experiences safe, inclusive, and equitable environments. The Safeguarding and Welfare Advisor will play a key role in strengthening existing safeguarding structures while building new opportunities for collaboration and best practice across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.

- Together Active’s programmes are compliant with the latest safeguarding and welfare standards, particularly in relation to inclusivity.
- Increased trust in safeguarding processes among local clubs and organisations delivering physical activity.
- Tangible improvements in safeguarding and welfare standards across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
What Does This Mean Day to Day?
- Collaborate with local clubs and organisations to strengthen safeguarding and welfare practices.
- Facilitate connections between community safeguarding officers, National Governing Bodies, and statutory services.
- Deliver training and guidance to Club Welfare Officers to ensure they are confident and well-equipped to fulfil their roles.
- Visit local clubs and events to raise safeguarding awareness among participants, parents/carers, and volunteers.
- Support community organisations in developing and implementing safeguarding action plans.
- Collate examples of learning and best practices to share locally and nationally.
- Promote safeguarding campaigns and initiatives to raise awareness of key welfare issues.
