About FILE
The Foundation for International Law for the Environment (FILE) was set up in 2018 to be the major philanthropic re-granter scaling up legal action globally to tackle the climate and the biodiversity crises.
We work as movement enablers, campaign strategists, and impact funders, using the law in pursuit of three interconnected system-level goals:
- Reducing net greenhouse gas emissions to protect the climate
- Safeguarding nature
- Delivering climate and environmental justice
We pursue these goals not just by supporting legal action directly. We believe in growing the strength of the climate and biodiversity legal movement globally, and in enabling people and movements to use legal action to shift narratives.
As movement enablers, campaign strategists, and impact funders, we at FILE do not ourselves bring litigation. As a regrantor, FILE is not an endowed foundation, but rather we engage in fundraising to secure resources to support our partners globally.
The Role
The Grants Coordinator will play a key role within the Grants Team, a growing team at FILE. This role will work closely with the Grants Managers and Heads of Grants across key FILE portfolios to ensure that programmes and partnerships are delivered at pace and to schedule. Whilst initially this is largely an administrative role, it is an opportunity to gain an insight in the workings of an international philanthropic organisation focused on systemic change through partnerships with a variety of outstanding legal strategists and NGO partners.
As Grants Coordinator, you ensure the quality of FILE’s grant-making processes and provide support to the Grants Managers and Heads of Grants during the entire life cycle of a grant. As well as working closely with the Grants Team, you will be working together with all the relevant stakeholders at FILE, i.e., grantee partners and our colleagues in finance, legal strategy, impact & learning and operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Grant administration – support the internal processes of contracting, payment approvals and tracking financial disbursements. Lead on grantee communication regarding payments and reporting.
- Ensure timelines and the approval process for grants and contracts run to schedule, ensuring all relevant information is presented to senior FILE team colleagues and decisions are documented.
- Ensure grant data and documentation is up-to-date and filed appropriately, including input into FILE systems as required.
- Perform data capture and maintain database records. Support the management of FILE’s key grants database, including supporting development and revision of database processes, structure and workflows.
- Regular communication with applicants and grant holders, particularly when supporting the due diligence process for applicants.
- Collaborate with the Grants Manager on annual planning, grants development, in-life grants management, pipeline planning and partnership building with partners.
- Work up to managing and holding relationships with partners for a small number of grants.
- Performance & outcome monitoring – support the Grants Manager to effectively monitor the progress and outcomes of projects and grants together with the Legal Strategy and Impact and Learning teams. This will include the scheduling of reporting requirements, and supporting the evaluation, impact and learning processes.
- Support other portfolio teams if required and time allows.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join the BFYC team to support young carers in West Oxfordshire.
Working closely with the youth work team, you will help to provide support and advice to young carers by devising, developing, implementing and managing a programme of social activities for young carers (this could include trips, training, emotional 121 support and other activities).

JOB SUMMARY
Taking overall responsibility for the delivery of a compliant and effective operation, she will provide direct line management for the Pathway Project domestic and sexual violence support, outreach and helpline teams. She will be responsible for the delivery of high quality support within the safe accommodation sites and excellent quality of service within Pathway Projects counselling provision. DUTIES OF POST
1. STRATEGY, PLANNING AND CONTROL
a. To contribute to the setting of long-term Objectives, along with the CEO & Board.
b. To implement and deliver the strategic plan for the operation, adhering to regulatory and financial controls.
c. To ensure the Charity is operated to best practice standards, adhering to regulatory and financial controls. Highlighting to the CEO risk which could cause harm to the ongoing operation of the Charity.
d. Ensure Pathway Project remains responsive to the needs of its service users, staff and trustees and can demonstrate the value of the services provided and the impact of its work.

2. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

Person Specification
Essential
- Demonstrable experience of working in the domestic abuse charity sector and expert knowledge of the domestic abuse sector
- Experience in managing teams at a high level with strong team building and leadership skills
- An understanding of compliance and continual service improvement to ensure quality assurance and service improvements
- Experience of or a good understanding of Funders, reporting structures and the expectations placed on charities by funders
- Excellent written skills, with experience of writing reports, guidance or briefings specifically for Trustees or Director boards.

The Role:
The role of the Finance Officer is to assist the Head of Finance in overseeing the financial health of the organisation, and to ensure that the Head of Finance is efficiently supported in his day to day financial responsibilities.
The Finance Officer will be line managed by the Head of Finance. They will also work closely with the Joint Executive Director, The Development Team, notably the Database and Insight Officer and the wider casework team, fellows and consultants. They will lead on paying Fellows, consultants and other contractors, as well as suppliers. They will also assist with reconciling Reprieve’s various accounts and ensuring that its transactions on Sage sync with its other databases or are appropriately reconciled.

Length and Salary:
This is a part time (4 days a week) position. The salary is £42,193 pro rata, per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

Purpose of role:

Main duties:
Work experience
- Responsible for ensuring that all women on the programme have access to and are taking up work experience opportunities with the support of support workers.
- Coordinate with internal colleagues at Luminary Limited and Luminary Bakery Limited to schedule regular work experience days for graduates of our programme within Luminary Bakery Limited.

- Organise complimentary opportunities to help our alumni community to strengthen their employability skills, for example panel discussions with representatives from different industries, site visits to potential employers, talks from alumni about their employment journeys etc.
- Identify external referral pathways and opportunities for partnership around further employability skills training, for example computer skills training, interview practice, public speaking training etc.

Our Technical Knowledge team oversees Blue Ventures’ technical pillars (Secure Rights, Community-Based Fisheries Management, Food Security and Financial Inclusion) and supports the use of data for decision-making, providing tools, training, and guidance to partners and Blue Ventures’ staff around the world. This team integrates expertise and deep practical experience with pragmatism and a desire to enable others to deliver lasting change, by distilling global best practices and knowledge into usable tools, appropriate training, and responsive guidance and support. Join our team working on our flagship School Plates programme, driving healthier, more sustainable school menus with a focus on London and surrounding areas, alongside a supportive and dedicated team committed to creating positive change.
The programme continues to go from strength to strength. We’re currently supporting over a third of all local authorities in the UK that cater for over 7,600 schools, feeding over 1.25 million children every day. So far, we’ve been responsible for swapping over 37 million school meals from meat-based to meat-free or plant-based.
This role is focused on London and the South. We are already supporting over half of all local authorities in the capital. We are entering the final year of an ambitious three-year plan to be working with over 50% of all UK local authorities, influencing the meals for 2 million children daily by the end of 2025.

- Contribute to ideas for new plant-based recipes for schools.
- Support our impact measurement work for ongoing programme evaluation, supporter communications, and funding proposals.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the school food landscape, structures of school food provision, and the nutritional guidelines for school food in England.
- Update and maintain an accurate database of activity with our partners.
- Represent ProVeg UK on calls, in meetings and at events, including some public speaking.
- Work closely with Communications Manager to produce engaging new content, including video content, for social media, and the website.
- Support the Programme Manager and Head of Programme with any other projects or tasks, as needed.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven track record in relationship management.
- Experienced in planning and delivering plant-based cooking workshops to groups.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to write effectively and be a confident presenter.

Lewisham Music is an award-winning youth charity and Principal Partner in the South East London Music Hub. Working alongside local and national partners, we deliver and support a diverse range of musical opportunities in schools and communities across Lewisham.
The Director of Community Programmes is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring that Lewisham Music offers a diverse and quality music education offer across our communities. The postholder will be responsible for the strategic development of all out-of-school provision, including the Saturday Music Centre, after school groups, holiday courses and our programme at The Fellowship. They will also hold responsibility for overseeing our exciting programme of community events and partnership projects.
A significant focus of this role is working alongside the Chief Executive to fundraise from trusts, foundations and corporate sponsors to ensure that programmes are sustainable and can be developed to meet the changing needs of Lewisham’s young people.
The Director of Community Programmes will line manage Lewisham Music’s Community Music Coordinator, Community Programme Producer, Connect Programme Producer and Saturday Music Centre Manager. They will also work closely with Lewisham Music office and management staff, Music Tutors and trustees.
Partnership is key to Lewisham Music’s work, and the Director of Community Programmes will work closely with key strategic and Hub partner organisations across Lewisham and beyond to ensure a joined-up approach to community music-making and progression opportunities.
