Who we are
BE FREE YC is a South Oxfordshire-based charity dedicated to improving the mental well-being of young carers.
We’re helping young carers by:
- Enabling access to mentoring and peer support
- Offering befriending
- Providing advice and guidance
- Arranging training courses in care-related skills
- Relieving the stress and pressure of caring that so many young carers experience through our programme of fun downtime activities and trips
BE FREE YC is exclusively focused on providing innovative, dedicated and ongoing support for Young Carers aged 8-17 across South Oxfordshire, Oxford City & the Vale of The White Horse and, in time, across the whole of Oxfordshire. We are the only charity offering specialist support for young carers in Oxfordshire.
