JOB SUMMARY
Taking overall responsibility for the office-based functions that enable Pathway Project to undertake client facing work, she will provide direct line management for the Pathway Project Data analyst, Fundraising, Office administration and Awareness teams. She will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality support to the volunteers who choose to support our Charity whilst ensuring staff and volunteers are well trained to deliver their roles to the best of their ability.
She will collaborate with colleagues to drive the fundraising potential through networking and links within the local community whilst capitalising on all donations of goods, time and funds.
She will support the CEO in her leadership and development of the organisation. She will be expected to demonstrate the Charity’s values by working positively as part of a team, delivering vital high-quality support services and creating a working culture where all are valued and encouraged.

DUTIES OF POST
1. STRATEGY, PLANNING AND CONTROL
a. To contribute to the setting of long-term Objectives, along with the CEO & Board.
b. To contribute to and implement the volunteer strategy to ensure the Charity is offering quality volunteering experiences.
c. To contribute to and implement the outreach and fundraising strategic plan to ensure the Charity is optimising fundraising.
d. To support the Charity to operate to best practice standards, adhering to regulatory and financial controls. Highlighting to the CEO risk which could cause harm to the ongoing operation of the Charity.
e. Ensure Pathway Project reports to funders are accurate, timely and all reporting is aligned to funder requests.
f. To contribute to and implement the training strategy to ensure the Charity is offering quality staff and volunteer training and development.
2. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
a. To manage a budget for volunteers and fundraising ensuring return on investment can be quantified and resources are capitalised on.
b. To provide financial oversight on proposed fundraising activities or projects, including consideration on cost, ROI and income source where applicable.
c. To efficiently manage and procure goods that will create and generate income and report on the ROI for these goods.
d. To manage the recording of all donations of goods, services or products and ensure accurate reporting of donation usage.
e. To support the CEO in the sourcing of funding opportunities and complete any required applications and data returns as per funding guidelines.
3. GOVERNANCE & REPORTING
a. To work with the CEO to produce reporting to the Trustee board that shows an accurate reflection of the charity’s performance.
b. To support in the development of a suite of monthly reporting for the Charity to funders.
c. To ensure funder and grant maker reporting is submitted efficiently and accurately in a timely manner as per the funder’s requirements.
d. To maintain up to date policies and procedures in respect to your areas of business.
e. To provide support and guidance to the CEO in all aspects of enabling services.
f. To ensure accurate record keeping and data security.
4. LEADERSHIP
a. To provide role model leadership to the Pathway Project, embodying the charity’s values and behaviours.
b. To provide continuous development to, and performance management of the team, ensuring the highest standards are delivered.
c. To work with the team, CEO and Board to provide a safe, and motivating work environment.
d. To provide line management to all staff within enabling services including the data team, fundraising and administrative teams.
e. To ensure monthly supervisions are completed for all staff and volunteers
f. To provide direct specialist advice and support to line managers who supervise volunteers or student placements.
5. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
a. To support Pathway Project in the maintenance and development of community links and fundraising opportunities.
b. To lead the community engagement and fundraising team to deliver the funding strategy and to create a pipeline that supports the charity to generate income through community-based fundraising, grants, donations and activities.
c. To deliver income generation through the development of a Community Fundraising Group supported by volunteers.
d. To support Pathway Project CEO, managers and Community Engagement Team with driving Pathway Projects social media agenda in order to build community support.
e. To lead the community engagement team to create strong links within the community
f. To attend meetings in the community as and when appropriate. including out of normal office hours if necessary
6. GENERAL MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION
a. To arrange enabling services team or wider staff meetings.
b. To ensure volunteers are recruited and inducted into their new roles effectively with formal role profiles.
c. To ensure there is a formal CPD route for volunteers and we offer the right training at the right time.
d. To ensure there is a formal training plan for staff who supervise volunteers so that every volunteer gets a fantastic experience at Pathway Project.
e. To ensure a record of staff training is maintained and training opportunities are explored regularly.
f. To ensure the volunteer policy and all procedures remain up to date and fit for purpose.
g. To participate in the on-call management rota for accommodation support when covering for staff absence or sickness.
h. To help support the continued use and development of OnTrack case management and database system throughout Pathway Project to ensure the system generates the data that we need to evidence performance.
i. To ensure the safe operation of general office services at the Hope Centre.
j. To deputise for the CEO where required, alongside other management.
7. OTHER DUTIES
a. To participate and contribute as a senior member of staff towards the development of the Pathway Project.
b. To attend and participate in all relevant meetings, including feeding back to management and trustee meetings and the AGM.
c. To represent Pathway Project and the work it does with external agencies, including written reports and presentations.
d. Carrying out any other task that may be required from time to time in the interests of the effective administration and development of the project, including participating in training and delivering presentations.
e. Ensure that all responsibilities are undertaken in an effective, ethical, and appropriate manner, meeting the standards of Pathway Project.
f. Maintain effective networks with all principal supporters and stakeholders. To actively seek opportunities to expand and promote the role of Pathway within the local community.
g. Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time.
Person Specification
Essential
Demonstrable experience of working in the domestic abuse charity sector and expert knowledge of the domestic abuse sector.
Experience in managing teams at a high level with strong team building and leadership skills.
An understanding of compliance, quality assurance and continual service improvement.
Excellent written skills, with experience of writing reports, guidance or briefings specifically for Trustees or Director boards.
Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills, with demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.
Experience of working in an environment with confidential data
The ability to write impactful, clear and concise applications for bids, grants, trusts and foundations.
The ability to lead teams to demonstrate excellent customer service delivery for all stakeholders, clients and partners.
Understanding and experience of partnership working in a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary setting

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

Salary: Full-time salaries are as follows:

About the role
We are excited to offer this new role which is an opportunity to support our two London Crisis at Christmas teams. There is the Crisis at Christmas team who lead on the set up and delivery of our hotel and day centre delivery in the capital. This is a huge and innovation operation, supporting hundreds of people out of rough sleeping. It also involves huge numbers of volunteers. The postholder will be working alongside the Crisis at Christmas team and Christmas Case Management Team to develop this post. You will form part of the local Leadership team, supporting the implementation of Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs). You will support the delivery of our work to members by offering training and leading reflective practice for staff and providing direct services to members at times. You will be working alongside the Christmas team to plan how we ensure our service offer is psychologically and trauma informed as well as developing and delivering training for volunteers and staff and supporting the delivery of our services. You will be joining a part-time Psychologist working into the Christmas Case Management team, as well as several Psychologists who are also based in the London Skylight.
You will also be a part of a national psychology team made up of a Lead Clinical Psychologist, two Regional Lead Clinical Psychologists, and seven Practitioner Psychologists as well as one Assistant Psychologist and Trainee Clinical Psychologists on placements.
We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking either full-time or part-time Practitioner Psychologists to work with us to develop a new and innovative role supporting our Christmas teams.

You will join an extraordinary team of frontline lead workers with a focus on people facing homelessness who have survived a range of difficult and traumatic experiences.

SHiFT’s Director of Programmes & Policy strategically and operationally directs the implementation and delivery of SHiFT through our SHiFT Practices and realises opportunities for SHiFT’s work to influence policy and practice reform. This is an exciting opportunity for someone driven by SHiFT’s Mission to break the destructive cycle of crime for children and young people, with the tenacity and skill to deliver innovation and translate learning from it to stimulate systems change within complex, multi-agency operational environments that include Children’s Social Care and Youth Justice. The Director of Programmes & Policy role is a new role for SHiFT, which has emerged because of our growth and the need to increase SHiFT’s strategic and operational capabilities. By welcoming a new senior leader, we want to ensure that we have enough capacity and capability to consistently deliver excellence through our Practices and to realise opportunities for continued innovation, growth, and influencing consistent with our mission to shift systems.
SHiFT’s Director of Programmes & Policy will obsess about the ‘what’ of our practice, holding overall responsibility for stewarding a SHiFT Practice from inception to scoping, mobilisation and launch, and then into effective delivery of each 18-month Programme cycle as we ‘infiltrate’ Host Organisations with the aim of shifting systems. Working differently with children and young people caught up in, or at risk of, cycles of crime, and doing so from an ‘insider-outsider’ position (where all our Practice colleagues are employed by public services rather than directly by SHiFT), is complex work. You and your small team of Practice Development Leads, led by our Head of Practices, will need to carefully hold the tension between consistency and flexibility, getting and staying closely alongside organisations that host SHiFT Practices as ‘critical friends’ to ensure that the SHiFT Commitments are met as we grow, learn and innovate. You will need to be front footed and confident in using data to identify opportunities for improvement in implementation and design, sharing insights to inform the organisation’s strategic direction as part of SHiFT’s Senior Leadership Team and feeding them into relevant governance forums including SHiFT’s Practice Committee and Board of Trustees. You’ll be building on some good foundations for the programmatic aspect of your role, but we expect strengthening and embedding these foundations to be the focus of your work for the first year in post, above the policy focused aspects of this role.
To thrive in this Director of Programmes & Policy role you will be flexible, comfortable with ambiguity and iterative working, and have exceptional problem solving and relationship building skills. You’ll bring substantial experience of operational and strategic leadership in contexts relevant to SHiFT’s work and have a proven track record of developing services and ensuring they are delivered at pace, and to a consistently excellent standard. You’ll have credibility and confidence in working with stakeholders relevant to policy and practice reform, including civil servants and senior practice leaders, in systems relevant to SHiFT’s work (e.g. Youth Justice, Children’s Social Care, policing, and education). Your principal responsibilities will be to:
● Ensure the consistent implementation and ongoing fidelity of SHiFT through our Practices, as is reflected in our Framework / the SHiFT Commitments and SHiFT Ways. This includes leading:
o the scoping, mobilisation, and launch of new Practices; and
o the clear, consistent, high-quality operation of 18-month SHiFT Programme cycles, underpinned by high support and high challenge partnerships with organisations that host SHiFT Practices (to date, all Local Authorities).
● Implement and (working closely with the Director of Practice & Learning) iterate SHiFT’s quality assurance and quality improvement processes to ensure:
o there is clear line of sight to the activities of our Practices and their impacts for children, young people and families, as well as on influencing systems change; and
o SHiFT has a clear evidenced understanding of what’s working well and why and where and how to learn and make improvement.
● Plan and coordinate local, regional, and national practice facing activities, including the delivery of SHiFT’s learning and development programme, and impactful opportunities for collaboration and learning across SHiFT Practices.
● Identify and realise opportunities for improvement in the operation of SHiFT Practices, reflecting learning as we grow in the development of our approach and processes to maximise SHiFT’s opportunities for reach and influence.
● Translate insight from SHiFT’s ideas in action to inform and influence wider policy and practice change in ways consistent with SHiFT’s approach and Mission.
● Identify and realise impactful opportunities for developing SHiFT’s activities and sharing our approach and evidence of impact to influence systems change.
● Contribute to whole organisation strategic development and operational effectiveness as a member of SHiFT’s Senior Leadership Team, reporting regularly into SHiFT’s Board of Trustees and Practice Committee.

About the role
We are looking for someone with project coordination experience to join our growing Impact and Evaluation team as a Research Coordinator to develop and enhance the support function of the research team so that our research can help improve support for vulnerable children and young people, and ultimately make a positive difference in their lives.
This is not a research role but one focused on coordination and administration and would suit someone who is highly organised with extensive project co-ordination and administrative experience, preferably in a research environment. The Research Coordinator will be embedded in diverse range of projects, with exposure to a wealth of methodologies and approaches in research.

We are committed to ending the homelessness of more people using our direct services, including people with complex needs. To do this, we are seeking either full-time or part-time Practitioner Psychologists to join our fantastic team in locations around the UK.
Crisis Skylight Birmingham has been established in the city since 2010, delivering trauma informed services to our members, all underpinned by our commitment to Psychologically Informed Environments. Crisis Skylight Birmingham is focused on finding sustainable ways to end homelessness for our members, working to housing led principles starting with securing decent homes. Staff work with members to navigate the systems and processes in place so that members can access the services and support they need, and that they have a right to benefit from. We support members in several areas, to help members find suitable accommodation and build up the skills and resources they need to ensure they can sustain their tenancy.

About the role
An experienced advocate with a sound understanding of the UK political system and legislative process, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be responsible for leading on Animal Equality’s life-saving legal advocacy campaigns on behalf of farmed animals.
Working as part of a highly effective team, within a fast-paced environment, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will develop and implement advocacy strategies that influence public policy with a goal to advance Animal Equality UK’s mission: to end the exploitation of farmed animals.
An excellent communicator, with an ability to convey complex information in a digestible way, the Policy and Advocacy Specialist will be a professional with a proven track record of policy programme delivery. The role involves engaging with policymakers, building relationships with coalition partners, overseeing public affairs initiatives, and influencing Government policy to create meaningful changes for farmed animals.
General responsibilities:
- Contribute to the organisation’s policy programmes: Garner reliable intel, conduct in-depth research, and carry out robust data analysis to inform Animal Equality UK’s ongoing policy and advocacy efforts for animals. Overview of Role
This is an opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work in our fantastic, skilled Fundraising Team on exciting and ambitious campaigns. The role offers many opportunities to develop fundraising skills and experience.
CAT’s Fundraising Team is responsible for raising vital funds for CAT’s core and project work from individuals, trusts and foundations, statutory bodies and companies. This is essential for CAT to fulfill its charitable mission – to inform, inspire and enable people to take action for a sustainable future. The post-holder will play an essential role within this team, helping to steward, inspire and engage current and potential supporters and members.
Supporter care and fundraising co-ordination: The post-holder will be accountable for establishing stronger and more effective relationships with supporters and leads. They will help maintain and increase levels of engagement through consistent, outstanding supporter care (customer service) and efficient coordination of communications (including outbound mail, email and phone).
Working with data: The post-holder will also play a crucial administrative role, including regularly collecting, processing and recording income for the team and thanking supporters. They will complete various important business controls and processes on a regular basis, so that financial and supporter data can be accurately and appropriately tracked. These aspects of the role provide the postholder with valuable opportunities to develop their skills and experience with using MS Excel and databases, with CAT supporting them to achieve relevant CPD training as required.
Gaining other fundraising/marketing experience: An important and exciting aspect of the role is to support the team’s income generation activities in a variety of ways. The nature of this work may be tailored, to some extent, to the abilities and interests of the post-holder. For instance, there may be opportunities to develop their skills in copywriting, writing applications for funding from charitable trusts, managing creative design work, data analysis, community fundraising, digital fundraising, major donor and legacy fundraising, events fundraising, and corporate partnerships.
The post-holder is likely to work closely and share many of the below responsibilities with another Fundraising Officer as well as other colleagues.
Main Responsibilities
To provide supporter care services:
- To be the first point of contact for individual Giving and Membership related queries (by phone, email and post) and to respond to these or escalate to line-manager as appropriate.
To develop and support fundraising projects and programmes
- To write fundraising letters and emails and arrange in-house mailings if required.
- To help organize and run the annual CAT Conference, regular free webinars and other events if required.
- To make applications for funding from trusts and foundations and produce regular reports on any projects funded as a result, if required.
- To help generate new sources of income and manage existing relationships and programmes eg. through community fundraising, corporate partnerships, lead generation, digital fundraising, major donor and legacy fundraising and other channels if required.
- To help produce insightful, high-quality research on current and prospective donors from trusted sources and in line with GDPR, if required.
- To conduct other research within specified timeframes and tailor findings for a variety of purposes and audiences, if required.
To process data and manage communications:
- To collect and process enquiries, payments and cancellations by card, Paypal, cheque, Direct Debit and other methods by phone, online or on paper.
- To export, import, and maintain data on relevant CAT databases and software as appropriate, both manually and through batch processing; to ensure filing is kept up to date; and to ensure data is stored and archived accurately and in accordance to GDPR.
- To carry out and record individual and bulk mail, email and phone communications, including thanking and welcoming supporters and members as well as tailoring bespoke communications where appropriate.
- To carry out and manage communications, eg. email, phone and post, including mailmerges, for welcome, stewardship, membership renewal and other fundraising needs.
- To submit Gift Aid claims to HMRC and update database records accordingly
- To process CAF, Stewardship, GAYE, Standing Order, JustGiving, collection box and other income, and managing relevant communications and maintaining records as appropriate.
To undertake other duties:
- To provide support for creative, analysis, insight and evaluation if required
- To respond to requests from the Finance Team as appropriate, including for coding information
- To update results reports and select and export other data if required
- To supervise and train volunteers and interns if required
- To undertake training in the functions of the role as described above
- To undertake any other appropriate duties as defined by the Fundraising Manager.
Working together on the climate and biodiversity crisis

About the role
Sightsavers Uganda office is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to work with the local district government (DLGs) of Acholi Sub-region to ensure that LF Uganda NTD project is planned implemented, monitored and evaluated to the highest possible standards, as laid out in Sightsavers Programme & Implementation manual (PIM).
As the Project Coordinator you will develop relationships with District Local Governments (DLGs) of Teso Sub-region to achieve the objectives of the project. You will support partners to manage all aspects of the project cycle, assist project partners in the preparation of budget and forecast, and ensure that that the DLGs are supported to deliver high quality project deliverables on timely basis.
Further duties and responsibilities involve:
- Supporting partners in the identification of their capacity development needs, in line with Sightsavers partnership policy and guidelines, and facilitate capacity building activities to meet those needs
- Negotiate partnership agreements or memorandum of understanding, MOUs with the DLGs of Teso sub-region
- Represent Sightsavers in DLG and development partners meeting in Teso subregion
- Work with partners to identify needs for technical support in relation to trachoma elimination estimates
- Support partners to ensure that all project documentation, reports and related support documents like maps are made available in a timely and accessible way
- Attend to project visitors and facilitate their activities
- Monitor expenditure of project financial or actively returns
- Ensure that partners submit timey financial or activity returns
- Represent Sightsavers to District Local Governments and development partners in the target regions

As the successful candidate you will hold a tertiary qualification (bachelor's or above), or equivalent working experience in social sciences, public health, development studies. You will possess experience implementing programmes, in particular health programmes and/or neglected tropical disease programmes with a focus on Monitoring and Evaluation, have knowledge of the WHO SAFE approach to trachoma elimination, and have experience working with District Local Governments health departments.
Further requirements include:
- Experience in data processing and management of large-scale surveys
- Demonstrated experience of statistical and or data analysis packages (SPSS, STATA, Excel, Power BI)
- Prior experience carrying out qualitative and quantitative data collection
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office programs, particularly Excel
- Knowledge and experience of working with district local governments and district health systems
- Knowledge and experience of the NGO sector
- Experience in advocacy work in health and in general development
