About the role
As a Family Resettlement Worker, you will work with a caseload of families and individuals who have arrived in Westminster, London under a UK government (refugee) resettlement scheme (or who have been resettled to Westminster through another route). You will support people in their homes and in the local community, guiding them to identify their goals as they begin their new lives in Westminster.
Support to our clients is holistic and will include: support to register with GP and access/understand the UK health system; support to understand and apply for benefits; support and encouragement to engage in Employment, Training and Education opportunities; and support to manage their housing tenancies. Our ultimate goal is for clients to feel safe, respected and hopeful for their future in the UK.
For occupational requirement reasons, we are seeking female applicants only for this post (exemption under the Equality Act 2010; Schedule 9 Part 1). Main purpose of the post
CFS places great importance on the professionalism of its operations.The ideal person for this role will therefore be a skilled administrator who will partner with different members of the team to ensure the smooth and effective running of our team.This will include working with the Director to ensure robust team operations, managing events, and producing our social media and podcast outputs to support our mission to maximise the impact of CFS’ research and other activities.
The team has grown significantly in recent years and thus – at the time of our ten-year anniversary – an experienced programme manager is now required.
Key tasks
Reporting to the CFS Director, the Programme Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Team administration
- Oversee general administration (note the team has a dedicated finance manager) and support the operational efficiency of the team.
- Coordinate improved use by the team of the RUSI Client Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Event production
- Working with RUSI’s central events team to support the delivery of events related to the ten-year anniversary of CFS, including the flagship conference in February 2025.
- Support the delivery of roundtables and events (for example research-related workshops, offers to host leading figures from the finance and security world that are visiting London, or business development events).Tasks would include developing curated participation, identifying speakers and preparing and managing invitations.
- Manage CFS stakeholder social events including our Christmas party and other functions.
- CFS Team external communications
- Work with the team to continuously build and improve CFS communication strategy and our share of voice (SOV).
- Manage social media channels and CFS content on the RUSI website.
- Lead production of the CFS Suspicious Transaction Report podcast series.
- Manage and produce CFS team monthly newsletter and media impact report.
- Follow the news agenda to identify opportunities to promote CFS content.
- Track and log CFS team impact
- Monitor media mentions and produce monthly report.
- Gather examples of impact (e.g. Parliamentary appearances and hosting high-level guests) to feed into our stakeholder reporting.

- Demonstrated experience of leading effective administration and programme management of a think-tank or similar programme with 15 staff members and annual budget of £2mm.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role has a flexible location, with the successful candidate being primarily based in one of our 4 offices (Cardiff, Glasgow, London or Sheffield). Our hybrid working model allows you to work up to 3 days per week at home.

Our Gambling Outreach And Living Support service GOALS is our community-based support service that provides bespoke and holistic 1:1 and group support to individuals and affected other impacted by gambling harms.
Our aim is to deliver an impactful GOALS service across London which builds effective networks of support for people before, during and after treatment.
A main aspect of the role will be to support and work closely with individuals presenting with lived experience of gambling harm issues and/or people affected by this issue. The GOALS Supporter will understand gambling related harm and dependency issues and be able to ensure safe working environments and take a robust lead on safeguarding and harm minimisation procedures and policy.
The post holder will work with the Head of Support Services and GOALS Coordinator to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are systematic and develop a clear understanding of how the service integrates with the national gambling treatment service.
Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.
The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, deliver presentations and other promotions within community, education and health centres to help grow and develop the service.

Qualifications or Relevant Experience

The Compliance officer will be instrumental in ensuring CCT complies with best practice in relation to the storage and use of people’s personal information, ensuring compliance with the relevant GDPR regulations and will also be responsible for ensuring that the CCT’s policies and procedures are compliant with the relevant Government Functional Standards as well as following good practice in relation to its governance policies and procedures.
The post holder will work with every team, at all levels across CCT, to help embed a risk-based approach to data protection and decision-making, championing both the intent of data protection law and effective operational outcomes; adopting best recommended practice where there is ambiguity about minimal compliance requirements.

Job Location: Hybrid, with two days a month working from our London (Victoria) offices and/or at our members’ events in line with the role. After passing probation, up to six weeks ‘super remote’ working per year, where you can work anywhere in the world.

What we’re asking of you
Leading the delivery of our brand and communications across all digital channels
- Create and deliver content across our social media channels that engages our audiences so we can achieve our objectives.
- Champion our members and their activities, involving members in content creation and digital campaigns.
- Work with area leads to develop and deliver organic and paid digital marketing campaigns and activities.
- Ensure our website is regularly updated with relevant and timely content.
- Manage our regular email newsletters, including our weekly Member Bulletin. Compile content, schedule contributors and build email campaigns.
Supporting development and delivery of communications strategy
- Support the Head of Communications and Senior Leadership Team to develop a sustainable, effective communications strategy.
- Develop channel strategies to grow audiences and increase engagement.
- Ensure digital communications activity is well planned, with clear objectives and metrics, in line with our communications strategy.
- Establish clear ways of working and guidelines, where appropriate, and ensure best practice is followed by staff and contributors.
Managing and monitoring our digital channels
- Monitor our social media channels, identifying opportunities and risks. Where appropriate, escalate risks to Head of Communications and agree mitigation.
- Regularly respond to comments and posts on our social media channels
- Ensure channel analytics are recorded and analysed, and learnings applied. Provide data and analysis for quarterly board reports, as well as monthly communications briefings.
- Monitor search engine performance and look for opportunities to create SEO-friendly content.
