This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with project management experience and a desire to serve churches in Southwark Diocese as part of an initiative enabling spiritual and numerical growth.
Specific projects have been identified in places across the Diocese of Southwark where there is a clear opportunity for growth and funding has been obtained from the Church of England’s Strategic Development Funding (SDF) to support these projects. This role will be key in the successful implementation of our strategy in each of these places, ensuring the plans are implemented and all strategic and operational aspects of the project are co-ordinated and monitored. An important component of the role is to identify the lessons that are being learned so that these can be replicated to good effect across the Diocese and the wider church.
The Project Manager is responsible for day to day management of the project from initial set up through to successful delivery, working closely with the Programme Manager. This will involve the implementation, co-ordination and tracking of the project plans for the projects that comprise this SDF funded initiative.
About you
- Relevant experience of managing projects in a complex environment is critical, as well as the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders from different disciplines and with differing viewpoints.
- You should have a good awareness and understanding of techniques for planning, monitoring and measuring programmes and projects, including risk management, with a proven ability to support organisational change.
- A good understanding of the structure, breadth and dynamics of the Church of England will be important, along with the desire to serve our churches and support a fruitful future.

Role Overview:

The Senior individual giving officer will report to the Senior individual giving manager.
Principal accountabilities / responsibilities
Fundraising
· Support fundraising activity across a wide range of programmes, including individual giving, legacy, in-memory and events fundraising
· Plan, execute, monitor and report on individual giving and legacy appeals, leading project groups with the support of the Senior Individual Giving Manager
· Optimise retention and increase supporter lifetime value through development of channel specific and donor-led effective welcome journeys, and seamless supporter journeys.

Our dynamic fundraising department generated over £4 m in 22/23, and we are now preparing for an ambitious multimillion-pound campaign in support of a ground-breaking cancer centre on the site of the Royal Free Hospital. As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for overseeing the Foundation’s finances, the Finance Manager will be a key role in providing support and analysis to help decision- making for the Trustees and Foundation Manager. About the role
This is a demanding and exciting role for a multi-skilled individual looking to gain experience in programme and people management. You will be joining a small, but dedicated team in a fun and friendly environment where we work hard to support one another and all our beneficiaries.
In this role you will be responsible for taking a group of schools, their pupils and volunteer tutors through the programme from start to finish, and for ensuring the programme genuinely makes a difference to those participating.
Programme Managers will manage school sessions in person in schools (which usually take place each afternoon) and will work remotely from home otherwise, with regularly scheduled in-person teamwork days at a convenient location. We are a flexible working employer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Managing different stakeholders to organise and facilitate impactful tuition sessions across London ensuring quality delivery.
- Design and lead on tutor and volunteer training) to ensure session engagement and improved academic attainment for pupils.
- Follow Safeguarding procedures for each school to ensure the protection and wellbeing of all young people involved.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of the programme on all stakeholders and develop strategies to maximise the programme’s impact.
- Complete and submit half termly partner reports which include an analysis of programme and pupil data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Hold sales and contracting meetings with schools under your supervision and support new sales by collecting images/case studies for marketing purposes.
- Develop selected curriculums based on Head of Programmes recommendations and the organisation’s strategy to help raise the aspirations and engagement of our pupils.
- Manage other staff in specific projects designed to support the organisation in scaling over the next 1-3 years.
Training and support will be provided to support staff throughout the onboarding process and beyond. Travel expenses to and from school to home can be reimbursed.

Role responsibilities

Role Outline
The Head of Fundraising will be instrumental in the instigation, implementation and completion of the Trust’s long term funding strategy. This important role leads on the Trust’s approach to individual giving, legacies, campaigns and community fundraising. The role plays an important part in raising vital unrestricted income and will act as the connection point with our loyal supporters. The role will lead and develop a fundraising team, working closely with the Community and Heritage team and volunteers.
