Community Engagement Coordinator - Wales
Location: The role will be based out of the BookTrust Offices in Cardiff. BookTrust works in a hybrid and flexible way with an expectation of a minimum of 8 face to face collaboration days per month which could be at the Cardiff office, visiting partners across Wales and on occasions UK wide travel. There will therefore be reasonable travel needed to fulfil the role, with occasional overnight stays.
Contract: Full-time, open to discussing flexible and part-time options
Salary: £28,000.00 per annum.

About the role:
We are seeking to recruit a Fundraising Executive with a focus on Challenges and Event recruitment to sit within our Public Fundraising Team. The post holder will be responsible for recruiting donors through virtual and in person challenges and events and working with the Fundraising Innovation Team to expand our challenges and events offering. The post holder would be an integral member of the Public Fundraising team and would also support during emergency appeals and support the wider Acquisition team for example in training and shadowing agency fundraisers and working on cross team projects.
This post reports to the Senior Executive – Challenges & Events, and approx. 70% of the work will be on Challenges & Events, with some other work on other Acquisition channels to help the post holder develop a breadth of skills and experience across Public Fundraising.

You will have experience and knowledge of mass participation event fundraising, including donor stewardship and donor recruitment through a variety of channels and audiences. You will possess strong planning and project management skills and the ability to work on your own initiative. The successful post holder will have an excellent understand of delivering excellent customer service/donor care.

Job Purpose and Summary
Do you want to be part of an exciting and varied fundraising programme?
Currently, our student team supports hundreds of students per year to take part in some incredible fundraising challenges. This includes national and international treks and marathons, such as climbing Kilimanjaro, trekking across the Morocco High Atlas Mountains or running 26.2 miles through Budapest.
We have two roles available for Student Fundraising Assistants to work with the current team across campuses in the UK and one in Ireland. With the purpose to engage with students at our partner universities and inspire them to join us on a fuindraising challenge to defeat meningitis and tick off a bucket list adventure.
The Student Fundraising Assistant will support the student team with recruiting students to take on one of these challenges. Some primary tasks and activities will include attending freshers' fairs, presenting about Meningitis Research Foundation’s student programme at information meetings and making phone calls to those who have registered their interest.
This role requires strong prioritisation and communication skills, sensitivity and flexibility. Whether you come with direct fundraising experience or have transferable skills that the role requires, we will support and develop you to excel in your role. What we are really looking for is someone passionate about making a difference and who is confident and outgoing when talking to new people. Meningitis Research Foundation is based in Bristol, but this role is flexible and is open to remote working with regular visits to universities across the UK.

Job Title: People and Culture Apprentice
Reporting to: Strategy Lead and EA to CEO
Location of work: Home based with the expectation to attend the office at least 2/3 days per week dependent on organisational activities, this expectation will be reviewed after the first quarter. JOB PURPOSE

The role:
As a Community Engagement and Fundraising Officer, you will play a vital role in helping our charity manage and develop relationships with our donors, supporters and our existing key relationships, whilst identifying and creating new relationships in our local areas to garner support and promote our services.

The Position
The Director, People Team works closely with Executive Director and the European Senior Leadership Team (ESLT) to lead the European People Team. The UWC International Office serves as the operational arm of UWC International, a UK-registered and Germany-registered charity, and stands as a pivotal entity within the UWC movement. Positioned in central London and Berlin, it collaborates extensively with stakeholders across the UWC spectrum, actively engages a robust alumni community comprising more than 60,000 members, and fulfils essential functions for UWC International's governance bodies.
