About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for sourcing practical goods and services in the region, applying for grants and benefits, as well as working with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families that Rainbow Trust do not provide directly.

Having worked in a stressful or emotionally-demanding environment with an understanding of the complexities of working with children and families, you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and strong networks with other organisation to provide meaningful assistance to the families we support.

Professional experience of working in an administrative or coordinator role - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have provided services in a health, social care, youth or education setting within a charity environment.

ROLE OVERVIEW
 
The Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) will be responsible for stewarding our supporters and donors, helping coordinate the Fundraising department activities and associated administrative duties.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Work with the Individual Giving Manager, Fundraiser (Individual Giving) and wider fundraising team to administer our donor support communication. 
• Administering the individual giving fundraising programme with support from the wider team. 
• Develop and maintain relationships with key RABI stakeholders, partners and associated organisation as agreed by your line manager. 
• Plan, execute and assistant in delivering national and large-scale fundraising activities. 
• Thank all donors in a timely manner via e-mail and letters and keep accurate records.
• Ensure that the database CRM records for our supporters and donors are maintained and up to date. 
• Develop and refine systems and processes to enhance donor experience and support. 
• Responding to general enquiries from the RABI fundraising email address and the fundraising phoneline. 
• Support the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraiser (Individual Giving) on the development and implementation of fundraising campaigns.
• Help plan and coordinate fundraising campaigns and initiatives, ensuring they are executed effectively and efficiently. 
• Liaise across the charity fundraising collateral and support the wider teams in developing materials for community fundraising. 
• Assist the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraiser (Individual Giving) in the oversight of the online RABI shop. 
• Help create and develop a digital income strategy as part of the Fundraising Strategic Framework.
• Provide a first point of contact for individuals who are fundraising for RABI including sending out fundraising packs and providing fundraising guidance and advice. 
• Help ensure that we comply with legal and compliance requirements including industry best practice, GDPR/PECR regulations and the CIOF code of Fundraising Practice.

 
GENERAL:

• Develop and maintain good working relationships and liaison with other members of RABI staff. 
• Be a constructive member of the fundraising team and work cooperatively with other staff members. 
• Take part and contribute to fundraising team meetings. 
• Cooperate with RABI on health and safety matters, taking reasonable care of own and other people’s health and safety within the workplace. Follow and H&S training received and alert RABI to any serious risks. 
• Actively participate in the staff appraisal scheme and be committed to training and development in line with the Charity’s aims and objectives. 
• Liaise with volunteers, clients, contractors and other stakeholders as necessary. 
• Promote the Charity’s work, assisting with demonstrations and in fundraising and awareness events as appropriate.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This is a pivotal role within individual giving. Helping to plan and develop fundraising strategy and budget management, as well as being responsible for delivering campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.

As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals. About you

You’ll have good experience of running direct marketing activity to generate income, working with suppliers and at scale to solicit funds from tens of thousands of supporters.

A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you’ll be managing relationships with key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and managing significant expenditure budgets. You’ll also have a real focus on monitoring key campaign metrics to optimise performance.

Working across email, online, telemarketing, direct mail, door to door and private site, you’ll understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement. Digital Marketing

Create engaging brand social media content and publishing it across our channels, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.

Support services, fundraising and retail marketing on social media, including implementing paid-for advertising.

Create and edit photography and video content for our website and social media channels

Create and send out marketing emails using MailChimp and report on their performance.

Support our WordPress website, including updating pages and uploading posts and stories, and look for opportunities for search engine optimisation.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

A minimum of two years managing social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked in.

About the role

We're looking to appoint a People Business Partner to provide strategic support during a period of significant change and growth over the next six months. We work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Reporting to the Director of People and OD, our People Business Partner will support our operational teams to implement our People Strategy, ensuring our colleagues are valued and empowered, enabling them to deliver life changing solutions to the people who access our services. You will be a trusted strategic advisor for your stakeholders, providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to managers, proactively identifying people issues and trends, formulating and implementing solutions.

The role will be responsible for the line management, development and coaching of People Advisors, and you will act as a mentor and role model to them.

This role is a vital link between the Business Partners, People Operations and our Learning teams, by overseeing the end-to-end delivery of work on multiple activities at any one time. You will work with across the team to ensure we continue to be customer centric, providing solutions to barriers with innovation and automation.

About you

You will have a proactive approach to problem solving and enabling the business to find solutions to people challenges. You will have experience of working in a similar role, preferably within NHS or the Health and Social Care sector and have the ability to think critically and take a logical approach to problem solving.

Through providing support to senior managers and leadership teams, People Business Partners play a key role in planning, developing, and identifying solutions that create value and ensure organisational and Directorate level strategies are realised. You will have demonstrable knowledge of working within complex change settings, and have experience of organisational change and TUPE in a national organisation.

In this role, you’ll support a visually impaired Guide Dogs Employee and Guide Dog owner, helping them perform their duties effectively through a mix of remote and in-person support. In-person support will be required once or twice a week locally in Stevenage involving tasks such as providing sighted guidance to navigate unfamiliar environments, helping with access to systems on a laptop, or describing the layout of rooms at events.

Your Microsoft Office expertise will be put to great use as you assist with a variety of administrative tasks, including document formatting, PowerPoint presentations, and note-taking. Your eye for detail will ensure that all documents are clear, accessible, and well-organised.

You’ll also help with travel arrangements as and when required, including collecting the employee from home and going to train station or providing a lift from their home to various Guide Dogs sites. A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle are essential. You’ll provide sighted guidance, ensuring the employee can navigate unfamiliar environments with confidence. As the employee is a Guide Dog owner, being comfortable with dogs and helping with their care, such as exercise, will be part of the role as well.

Your excellent communication skills and person-centred approach will be key in building a close, trusting relationship with the employee. Flexibility will also be crucial, as you’ll need to adapt to changing tasks and demands.

This role requires the ability to work under pressure and take initiative, managing your workload efficiently. Whether assisting with travel, preparing documents, or providing sighted guidance, your proactive attitude and organisational skills will be key to your success.

You will be fully trained in tasks such as sighted guiding and how to work confidently around a Guide Dog, ensuring that you feel supported and equipped, even if you haven’t had experience in this space before. The role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Occasional flexibility will be required to work outside of core hours, including weekends and overnight stays.

This role is managing a shift delivering emotional support to those in mental health crisis, face to face and over the telephone through our helpline.

About the Service

Our Nightlight Service (Cafés, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.
• At the Crisis Cafes we promote and enable people to access support in a way that suits them, whether that’s through talking to someone or simply by providing a safe space to have time alone or engage with trained staff.

About the Role

Alongside other Crisis Cafe Coordinators, you will be a key member of the Crisis team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Café and Helpline Service. You will be ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision. You will provide management support to Crisis Café and Helpline Mental Health Support Workers and volunteers and support the Crisis Café Team Leader in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred.

We're seeking dedicated Night Veterinary Nurses to join our team at London Victoria Animal Hospital. Working 7 consecutive nights followed by 14 nights off; by joining our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our hospital provides a 24/7 service, catering to the needs of our furry friends around the clock. 

More about the role

Our Victoria animal hospital provides care to thousands of animals annually. From routine procedures to intricate surgeries, we offer a wide range of treatments to ensure the well-being of every patient. We are a first opinion practice providing essential emergency and first aid treatment to eligible pet owners. This means our business as usual is highly critical cases and surgical procedures, emergency triage over the phone and face to face, and inpatient care to a high nursing standard. 

We have well equipped veterinary facilities, the hospital spans six floors, with six consultation rooms, two theatres, four minor procedure rooms and a laboratory.

While our primary focus is on dogs and cats, our compassionate team is equipped to care for a variety of pets. You'll be helping to deliver excellent veterinary care for a wide range of small animals, providing both routine healthcare and attending a large number of emergencies, which provides our team excellent opportunities to develop their skills. 

With this 7 on, 14 off rota, you'll have a unique work pattern that offers an excellent balance between work and personal time. Please note that holidays will need to be taken within the 14 nights off. By joining our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our hospital provides a 24/7 service, catering to the needs of our furry friends around the clock. 

Due to the nature of the work of Blue Cross, and this post, it may be necessary to exceed these hours when the workload demands.  

About you

You will be a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse registered with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). Excellent communication skills are a must-have in this role. You'll be interacting with pet owners, veterinary colleagues, and other members of our team on a daily basis. Strong customer service skills are also essential for ensuring a positive experience for our clients. 

Veterinary care can be unpredictable, so it's important to be adaptable and able to handle whatever comes your way. We're looking for candidates who are reliable and can be counted on to deliver consistently high-quality care, regardless of the circumstances. 

While you'll need to be able to work independently, you'll also be part of a dedicated team of veterinary professionals. Collaboration and teamwork are key to ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and the well-being of our patients.
