We have been lucky enough to secure funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund for our wilder future for Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust Project. This is to undertake a programme of digital and cultural transformation at the Trust, creating a more efficient and effective organisation.

You’ll be part of the Trust’s Development Directorate, leading the development and delivery of the Trust’s volunteering transformation plans with the aim to improve collaboration and efficiency across the Trust.

About the role

This is a new role funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund that will enable the transformation of how the Trust supports volunteering by delivering a programme of volunteer and staff engagement and training, and leading the set up and migration to a new cloud-based volunteer management system. The role will also lead on volunteer development with external partners as part of the project.

The postholder will require the ability to work collaboratively and to implement an agreed project plan to fixed milestones and is expected to support and embrace a positive team culture, and to uphold the Trust’s values and expected behaviours at all times. They should act as a positive role model for staff, volunteers and external stakeholders through a professional, collaborative and engaging approach.

The Office Manager role is crucial to our very busy and friendly office of 14 people and is incredibly varied and interesting. About the Role

Learning with Parents is recruiting for a School Partnership Manager to work closely with the Schools Team to develop partnerships with new schools and support them as they launch our programme. As School Partnership Manager, you will have a key role supporting schools through our Learning with Parents programme to ensure learning spans a meaningful partnership across schools and homes. 

We are scaling the number of schools who use our Reading Log in September. To ensure the success of this exciting development, we are increasing the capacity of our Schools Team to engage with new schools and onboard them onto our programmes.

Areas of Responsibility

Relationship Management 

• Working closely with class teachers and school leaders to run successful programmes in partner schools

• Building strong relationships with schools to develop multi-year partnerships ensuring more families are supported through our programmes. 

Sales 

• Discussing and confirming annual renewal licences with schools 

• Work with schools to develop our partnership with them each for example increasing coverage over all classes or adding new programmes to their subscription.

• Supporting Programme Director to identify new MATs and school leads

• Refining our sales and onboarding process, 

• Supporting the Schools Partnership Office with the sales pipeline on our CRM.

Programme Development

About You 

A successful School Partnership Manager will be eager to work in a small team, have a can-do attitude, and be keen to get stuck in to support the charity’s growth and impact.

Role Overview

Around 75% of your time will be devoted to securing funding from trusts and foundations. This includes researching, identifying new opportunities and crafting compelling, tailored funding applications. The remaining time will be dedicated to building and nurturing relationships with new, lapsed and existing major donors and developing creative and engaging stewardship plans to inspire and secure high value gifts.

About you

This is a great role for someone with previous experience of both Trust Fundraising and Major Donor Fundraising. You’ll have excellent communication skills to enable you to quickly build solid, strong relationships both face to face and over the telephone. Excellent writing skills are essential as well as good organisational skills and CRM experience. In these challenging times you’ll need to channel your creative skills to develop exciting stewardship plans.

The new role of Special Events Assistant will give you the opportunity to support the team in planning and delivering engaging events that highlight our clients' stories and the impact of our work, inspiring audiences to start or continue their support. Your role will include assisting with the planning and delivery of events, maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing event communications and collateral, processing data accurately and securely. We supply items such as clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment to local families living in poverty. Families in need get referred to us by social workers, health visitors, family support workers, midwives and other professionals. We work with almost 800 different referral partners across 400 different organisations.

We also offer school uniform support and we have a Birthday Club that ensures that a child who would otherwise go without has a gift, cake, balloons and decorations to celebrate their special day. At Christmas, we host a Grotto where parents can come and choose a gift for their child at no cost. We have a new partnership with Citizen’s Advice Barnet that allows families to book an appointment with an advisor at our hub.

In addition to our baby bank services, we work to engage and inspire the community through fundraising, volunteering opportunities, and outreach programmes. • Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract new volunteers and new hub leaders including targeted campaigns and partnerships with local schools and community organisations.

• Assist in planning and running Sebby’s Corner events, including seasonal fundraisers and awareness campaigns.

What we can offer

Salary and pension

The salary for this role is £28,500 annum FTE (this will be pro-rated to reflect your working hours if you work less than 35 hours per week and is subject to normal deductions). If eligible to join the pension, we will match your contributions by 5%.

Annual leave

You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (these will be pro-rated to reflect your working hours if you work less than 35 hours per week). We usually give the team time off between Christmas and New Year that doesn’t come off your allowance.

About the role

 As Community Hub Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the launch and development of this exciting new space. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the Hub, support and line-manage a small team (including staff with lived experience of learning disability or autism), and co-design a wide variety of services, events, and partnerships with our members and community.

You’ll also work with other local organisations and charities to expand the support on offer—exploring exciting ideas like social enterprises, creative groups, advice drop-ins or a community café. This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be welcoming people and helping with a session, other days you’ll be planning future activities, liaising with partners, or exploring funding ideas. No two days will be the same.

About this job

In this role you will be providing emotional support and information to people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) that empowers them to; live to their full potential, take an active role in their treatment and secure the care and support they need. Our helpline is open 9am – 7pm and therefore this role includes working a shift pattern of 9-5, 10-6, 11-7 or as the service demands.

Ataxia is the umbrella term for a group of neurological conditions and Ataxia UK is the UK’s leading ataxia support and research charity. About the Role  

You will be joining at an exciting time for Ataxia UK as we celebrate our 60th anniversary year.

This brand-new role is an important part of our new strategy to sustainably grow our unrestricted income. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising & Communications and the wider team, the Senior Philanthropy Manager will lead the work to build a pipeline of major donors and family trusts and foundations.
