The Role
This is a great chance to join a busy policy team to cover family leave. The team helps the Law Society shape public policy to deliver our corporate strategy for our members and the public interest.
You will lead our policy development and projects on immigration and asylum issues, and support colleagues in the public law team on other issues such as human rights, mental health law, criminal law and family law.
Keeping up to date with policy and legal developments, you will spot and respond to opportunities for positive reforms. You will research and analyse the impact of changes on our members, access to justice and the rule of law, and provide reliable and well-informed advice and leadership. Often you will prepare written briefings and guidance for internal and external audiences, and occasionally you will give oral presentations.
You will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, members of the Law Society, government, parliament and civil society. Working with colleagues from the policy, media, public affairs and other teams, you will help to ensure that our policy positions have maximum influence and visibility, and report on their impact showing how they deliver our strategic goals.

What we're looking for
You will be an experienced policy professional with a proven track record of identifying opportunities for influence and making an impact. You will have either some expertise in immigration and/or asylum law or the ability to develop that quickly, alongside a good working knowledge of broad public law issues.
You will be skilled in researching and analysing complex issues and assessing their implications for the profession, the rule of law and access to justice. You will have excellent skills in drafting concise, clear and accurate policy papers, briefings and guidance for a range of audiences, and be comfortable giving persuasive oral presentations.
You will also be experienced in building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels and be able to work both pro-actively and reactively, often with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines.

We are excited to be recruiting for a new Special Events Assistant to join the Special Events and Celebrity Engagement team who sit within the St Mungo’s Philanthropy Team. We organise events and manage celebrity relationships, with the aim of spreading awareness and supporting our mission to rebuild lives and end rough sleeping.
The new role of Special Events Assistant will give you the opportunity to support the team in planning and delivering engaging events that highlight our clients' stories and the impact of our work, inspiring audiences to start or continue their support. Your role will include assisting with the planning and delivery of events, maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing event communications and collateral, processing data accurately and securely. This role offers a chance to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact. Other key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the planning and delivery of special events, working closely with the Special Events and Celebrity Engagement Manager.
- Work with teams across St Mungo’s, including our Philanthropy and Partnerships teams, to help create and deliver engaging events for donors and partners that contribute to achieving wider team objectives.
- Provide excellent supporter care and customer service, responding to event enquiries and co-ordinating event communications.
- Provide admin support to the Special Events function, ensuring the database (Raiser’s Edge NXT) is accurately maintained and up to date for events, and you’ll assist with reporting and gathering insights post-event.
- Follow fundraising best practices, adhere to St Mungo’s policies, and contribute to a supportive team culture.
About you
We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to learning and a passion for making a difference. You might already be in a similar role, have some previous experience in organising events or may be looking to bring transferable skills and a willingness to learn, to the role. - Good organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage your own time and a variety of tasks in a busy team environment.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service and build effective working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

- Good admin skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, IT software and database systems.
- Experience in using CRM databases (e.g. Raiser’s Edge), digital communication and collaboration tools is beneficial for this role.
In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations.

The role ensures that services are person-centred, high-quality, and compliant with regulatory and organisational standards, while empowering individuals to live independently and achieve their goals.

What you’ll bring to the role:
·Professional Housing Qualification level 5 or above, with knowledge of housing management and housing legislation.

Location & Travel - North Yorkshire and North East
The role will cover our communities at Botton Village (Danby, North Yorks), Croft (Malton, North and Larchfield (Middlesbrough, Teesside). You will be based at one of the communities within the region, with regular travel between communities. You will be required to attend quarterly Leadership Away days and other meetings which will require overnight stays.

This a local service for family carers, offering a range of services including information and advice, support groups, carers assessments, training and an emergency back-up service.
The job purpose:
- To be a key member of the Carers’ Hub team, by providing specialist information, support and advice to carers of people with dementia.
- Developing relationships with Carers groups City wide.

Key Responsibilities

The Black Researcher Consortium is a newly formed community interest company (C.I.C.), designed, developed and built by people with Black heritage, for people with Black heritage. The Consortium objects are to address the systemic underrepresentation of Black researchers across educational institutions, research organisations, government, and industry environments in collaboration with Black researchers, Black-led community initiatives and all those bridging the systemic gap, connecting Black researchers.
As the Consortium Director, you will lead the development of a newly created C.I.C. by working with community stakeholders and the board of directors to develop and implement a strategic vision. The Consortium Director will be responsible for developing a 5-year plan to meet the primary objects of the Consortium: to address the underrepresentation of Black researchers in academic and industry environments.

As the international partnerships and engagement manager, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of their international strategy. About the role:
The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. As Digital Officer you'll work closely with Marketing and digital colleagues, as well as fundraising teams across the organisation. You will be a key player in maintaining and improving the charity’s digital presence, focussing on website management and web content, keeping our supporters and audiences at the heart of everything you do.
It is also an exciting time to join our digital team, as this role will begin part way through a redevelopment of our website. The Digital Officer will play a vital part in supporting the wider digital team to QA and deploy the new site, and support the Digital teams efforts to embed new ways of working and processes for the new site and ongoing roadmap.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support day-to-day management and improvement of the website. Includes content updates to ensure information is correct and up-to-date, and editing pages as needed across the site, following digital best practice.
- Support with the blog content calendar and blog content creation. Writing, building, publishing and optimising digital content, then measuring performance using tools like GA4 and Hotjar.
- Embedding and promoting digital best practice. Ensuring new content developed follows digital, SEO and UX best practices and supporting colleagues within the charity to understand and deliver the best digital experience across key campaigns by providing advice, recommendations and feedback.
- Supporting the wider Digital Team in delivering a training programme across the organisation, which will embed our new content creation process and build digital skills across the organisation.
To be successful in your application you'll need:
- Professional experience using CMS (Content Management Systems) and knowledge of website management, on-page and technical SEO and digital best practice. Knowledge of UX is desirable but not essential.
- Experience using data tools, such as Google Analytics for reporting and identifying actionable insights.
- Excellent copywriting, editorial and proofreading skills.
- Experience in writing for the web or digital channels and creating content tailored to a variety of audiences.

This is a crucial role to support NASP’s strategic objectives to promote and spread social prescribing at a local, national, and international level.
This pivotal role involves supporting a number of programmes that aim to develop social prescribing within healthcare systems.
