The Role
This is a great chance to join a busy policy team to lead on our work around private client and tax. The team helps the Law Society shape policy in areas that mater to many of our members and firms they work in.
You will lead our policy development and projects on private client and tax issues, and support colleagues in the private law team on other issues such as technology, employment, company, conveyancing, climate change and supporting our members businesses.
Keeping up to date with policy and legal developments, you will spot and respond to opportunities for positive reforms. You will research and analyse the impact of changes on our members, on the clients they advise and the rule of law, and provide reliable and well-informed advice and leadership. Often you will prepare written briefings, consultation responses and guidance for internal and external audiences, and occasionally you will give oral presentations.
You will liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, members of the Law Society, government, parliament and industry bodies. Working with colleagues from the policy, media, public affairs and other teams, you will help to ensure that our policy positions have maximum influence and visibility, and report on their impact showing how they deliver our strategic goals.

What we're looking for
- Ability to engage with and influence legal policy development across government, parliament, regulators and the legal profession, including spotting opportunities, developing credible and persuasive policy positions and recommendations, and evaluating, monitoring and reporting on impact
- Strong understanding of the UK's legal and political systems, good working knowledge of broad private law policy issues, and some expertise in private client related areas of law or ability to quickly develop this
- Ability to research and analyse complex legal and policy issues and assess their implications for the profession, the rule of law and the business of law
- Ability to explain complex legal and policy issues clearly, concisely and accurately for a wide range of audiences, both orally and in writing
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a broad and diverse range of people including colleagues across the Law Society, office holders and members, and external stakeholders at all levels, and to be a credible representative of the Law Society

What You’ll Be Doing:
Response are looking for an enthusiastic & creative individual to join our Communication & Fundraising team as Senior Digital Marketing Manager. The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of Response’s social media strategies, overseeing both paid and organic content to raise awareness of the organisation’s work, connect with key stakeholders, and drive digital fundraising. We are seeking to recruit a highly skilled Key Worker for our Key Worker Service in East Berkshire. The role will be diverse and service user centred and would suit someone with significant experience in supporting young people and young adults with Autism and Learning Disabilities and their families.
The day to day work will involve a flexible approach to coordination and direct support for the young person and their family, as well as providing responsive communication at times of increased need. This is an exciting role which allows for the Key Worker to support families to navigate the system whilst advocating for them and ensuring that their voice is heard.

What we're looking for
You will be an experienced policy professional with a proven track record of identifying opportunities for influence and making an impact. The new role of Special Events Assistant will give you the opportunity to support the team in planning and delivering engaging events that highlight our clients' stories and the impact of our work, inspiring audiences to start or continue their support. About you

The Digital Officer is a key member of the Marketing and Digital team. We are a friendly, creative, and supportive team, responsible for raising awareness and growing the brand of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, as well as our website, email, social, direct mail, paid advertising and more. As Digital Officer you'll work closely with Marketing and digital colleagues, as well as fundraising teams across the organisation. You will be a key player in maintaining and improving the charity’s digital presence, focussing on website management and web content, keeping our supporters and audiences at the heart of everything you do.
It is also an exciting time to join our digital team, as this role will begin part way through a redevelopment of our website. The Digital Officer will play a vital part in supporting the wider digital team to QA and deploy the new site, and support the Digital teams efforts to embed new ways of working and processes for the new site and ongoing roadmap.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Support day-to-day management and improvement of the website. Includes content updates to ensure information is correct and up-to-date, and editing pages as needed across the site, following digital best practice.
- Support with the blog content calendar and blog content creation. Writing, building, publishing and optimising digital content, then measuring performance using tools like GA4 and Hotjar.
- Embedding and promoting digital best practice. Ensuring new content developed follows digital, SEO and UX best practices and supporting colleagues within the charity to understand and deliver the best digital experience across key campaigns by providing advice, recommendations and feedback.
- Supporting the wider Digital Team in delivering a training programme across the organisation, which will embed our new content creation process and build digital skills across the organisation.

- Professional experience using CMS (Content Management Systems) and knowledge of website management, on-page and technical SEO and digital best practice. Knowledge of UX is desirable but not essential.
- Experience using data tools, such as Google Analytics for reporting and identifying actionable insights.

The last 12 months have seen significant transformation within our IG fundraising, with our regular giving base more than trebling. Building on this momentum, and campaigns such as last year's successful prostate cancer screening petition and our increased campaigning and public relations footprint. This role will be instrumental in driving continued expansion through digital channels, including paid social and email, with significant scope to identify and implement new, innovative, or novel acquisition strategies. Our ideal candidate would have the following:

With demonstrable campaign management experience and expertise setting up and managing campaigns in Meta business suite, Google paid advertising and email marketing.

Evidence of leading successful digital / integrated digital campaigns leading to significant sales/income/lead generation.

The ability to monitor and manage income and expenditure against targets as well as forecast and report on digital campaigns across all channels.
