Purpose of the job 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the UK Youth Fundraising team. UK Youth already works with a broad range of exciting corporate partners, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, KFC, Burger King and RSA Insurance. This role focuses on identifying and securing new income generation opportunities with Corporate Partners across strategic, commercial and charity of the year style collaborations. 

Key responsibilities

• Lead and secure income from new corporate organisations and achieve new business targets
• Identify new corporate opportunities to add to the new business corporate pipeline
• Pro-actively engage new businesses using a range of methods: e.g. working with senior stakeholders, events, networking, cold calls, emails, LinkedIn
• Develop and strengthen warm relationships with prospective funders and find opportunities to engage them in the work of UK Youth
• Develop corporate bids, budgets and proposals, managing the process across different teams, cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Create and present high quality, persuasive funding bids to C-suite audiences and senior stakeholders
• Present and attend meetings alongside senior leaders and stakeholders at UK Youth
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to identifying new streams of income from different corporate audiences
• Work with the Senior Partnerships Manager to develop the corporate partnerships offer beyond income generation, identifying opportunities for corporate partners to offer their skills and expertise to further UK Youth’s charitable objectives
• Ensure all donations are accurately recorded and recognised, working closely with the finance team
• Ensure that the CRM is up to date and accurate at all times
• Keep up to date with trends, research and data on fundraising and corporate partnerships, helping to inform long-term strategy

Experience we're after

• Demonstratable experience in a sales or corporate fundraising role, working on six – seven figure proposals
• Proven track record of corporate partnerships fundraising/ securing sales targets from new organisations
• Experience of working in a busy and deadline-driven environment and achieving ambitious targets
• Experience negotiating, pitching and presenting to senior (C-suite) internal and external stakeholders

Role Summary 

We're now seeking a talented, energetic and efficient Project Coordinator to oversee this exploratory project. 

The Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund, run by the Museums Association, aims to encourage participatory practice in museums, and this concept lies at the heart of this project. Participatory practice means involving visitors and communities in the creation and interpretation of museum exhibitions, programs, and events content – asking for stories about objects in the collection, rather than assuming we know what the most important stories are. This approach is inclusive, encourages visitors to feel ownership and helps museums discover untold stories about their collections.

We are looking for someone special to co-ordinate this process and exploit our unique platform to raise awareness of environmental issues and e-waste and to create change. The Project Co-ordinator will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Broken Earth Project, including working closely with all external and internal stakeholders, monitoring progress, and ensuring project milestones are met. This new fixed-term role is a critical part of the project and crucial to its success. 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

• Strong interest in conservation, ecology and promoting a circular economy

Born Free has recently invested in fundraising to support income growth and diversification under the leadership of a new Director of Fundraising.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Individual Giving Officer to become an integral member of the fundraising team as we look to diversify and grow our individual giving programme.

Individual giving is a key income stream for Born Free, and you will be supporting the Head of Public Fundraising to grow income from new and existing supporters, including through existing products and testing new ways for people to give. The successful candidate will be involved in areas such as our adoption programme, lottery, appeals, supporter acquisition, retention, stewardship, and digital fundraising.

You will be highly motivated and passionate about the mission of Born Free and bring the experience of working in a fundraising team to help grow and diversify the individual giving programme.

The Role

Working collaboratively with the Head of Public Fundraising to develop and implement the Individual Giving strategy for income growth and supporter retention. The successful candidate will be detail-orientated, a team player, creative and able to work collaboratively as well as independently.

Resourceful, organised and a proactive team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will need to juggle both creative and data tasks with drive and enthusiasm, be able to work with minimum supervision and show good judgement and initiative.

Key tasks will include:

• Supporter acquisition: work with Head of Public Fundraising to develop, project manage and deliver an integrated multi-channel rolling supporter acquisition across the individual giving portfolio.
• Supporter retention, journeys, and engagement: work with the Head of Public Fundraising, Supporter Database & Insight Manager, and Communications team to project manage, and deliver a successful supporter journey to reduce attrition across the individual giving portfolio, and deliver on appeals and other supporter mailings.
• Digital Marketing: project manage and champion digital fundraising for individual giving, supporting the Social Media Manager and the Marketing Manager with the development of content.
• Manage suppliers and stakeholders: Ensuring high standards of delivery and collaboration are maintained within budgets and procurement requirements.
• Data insight: Work alongside the Head of Public Fundraising and Supporter Data & Insight Manager to ensure the selection and segmentation maximise results. Use campaign data to track and report on the effectiveness of activity, attrition levels, and inform decision-making and future planning.
• Strategy & Planning: Work alongside the Head of Public Fundraising and Director of Fundraising to produce and execute an effective and sustainable individual giving plan to grow income from new and existing donors.
• Budgets: Support the Head of Public Fundraising with compiling budgets, phasing and monitoring Individual Giving income and expenditure.
• External trends and regulation: Keep up to date with fundraising trends and legislation in relation to public fundraising, and ensure compliance with the Charity Commission, fundraising regulation and data protection requirements, including the General Data Protection Directive; Ensure all individual giving activity complies with the appropriate regulation and legislation and delivers an excellent experience for supporters.

The successful candidate should ideally demonstrate the following attributes:

• Direct marketing experience (essential) and digital marketing experience (essential)
• Highly numerate and extremely comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and KPIs
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships with colleagues, donors and external suppliers.
• Proven experience in working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and relational databases (including data input), ideally with knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or equivalent CRM.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively to both external and internal audiences.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills and an ability to prioritise work, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with third party suppliers including creative agencies, printers and fulfilment house.
• A team-minded approach - taking others on the journey with you and sharing knowledge / expertise for the benefit of the wider fundraising team and organisation.

Overall purpose

Your primary responsibility will be to lead Breaking Barriers’ employment programme in Birmingham and the West Midlands, and support the Senior Employment Services Manager and Director of Services in ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in the support we provide to clients.  

Working closely with the Senior Employment Services Manager, you will take ownership of delivery within this region and lead on the delivery of the contract, including maintaining effective external stakeholder relationships and providing accurate and timely reporting. You will line manage and support a team of Employment Advisers (“Advisers”), enabling them to provide high-quality support to clients and coordinate the day-to-day operational activity which keeps our programmes running.

You are a highly organised and effective worker who knows when to adopt a creative approach and when to follow the established process. You will have an empathetic manner, be willing to go the extra mile to support clients and be proactive in looking for ways to improve our service. Lived experience would be helpful but is not essential.  

In addition to exceptional people skills, you will be a strong communicator and possess meticulous attention to detail. You will be confident working autonomously, helped by excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and cope with interruptions.

You should have at a demonstrable track record of transferrable work experience in coordinating service delivery, projects or programmes, or another relevant field. Equally important is a demonstrable commitment to working with marginalised populations who face barriers to employment, particularly refugees. A strong interest in employability support and experience delivering employment programmes or careers advice would be a strong advantage.

As the Breck Foundation's new Project Coordinator (Pan Sussex), with the support of the CEO, you will lead the initial project set up, the recruitment of schools and young people, followed by all training and coordination of the delivery.

The post holder will need to reside in Sussex and be required to work from home permanently but willing and able to travel regularly to various locations across East and West Sussex. Breck Foundation 

Breck Foundation is a unique and dynamic organisation that makes a real difference. The charity was founded in 2014 in memory of Breck Bednar, a 14-year-old boy who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online. We inform, educate and campaign to help young people and the wider UK public reclaim the internet from those who seek to harm others through it. Our educational programmes reach thousands of students, parents and safeguarding professionals each year.

The Project

Over the last few years, the Breck Foundation worked closely with Volunteer Police Cadet Units in Surrey and Tower Hamlets to train cadets as ‘Breck Ambassadors’, equipping them with the training needed to talk in schools to their peers about staying safe online and the key signs of grooming.

We are proud to take this successful project further having secured funding with the Office of Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner (OSPCC) to recruit and train up to 30 ‘Youth Ambassadors’ (for online safety) in schools across Sussex. The Youth Ambassadors will learn how to tell Breck’s story and empower young people with the tools they need to stay safe online. Working closely with schools to enable the students to become Online Safety Ambassadors for their school community, advocate for their peers and to be a voice of expertise and counsel. You will work with schools and community groups to generate impact through Breck’s story (on online grooming) and other important topics related to children’s online safety.

This flagship project for the OSPCC will launch in April 2025 (Coordinator starts in January 2025) and run for at least 12 months, with potential funding up to three years. We hope it will set a precedent for others to follow our lead and develop similar programmes for young people across the UK.

About Woman's Trust

The charity, established almost thirty years ago to meet the gap in specialist mental health services, is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. We support 900 women and children annually, with an income of £1.04m and 41 staff in 2023/24. You will be joining the Woman’s Trust Fundraising team as we work towards our strategy 2022-2027, to double our income and the number of women we support each year. We are focused on developing innovative mental health services for young women and girls, launching peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. We are also committed to developing further awareness-raising workshops and training for professionals, building on our research and policy to improve systems nationally.

About you and how to apply

As a creative and tenacious senior fundraiser, aligned to our feminist ethos and our service users', you will have experience in securing six-figure, multiple-year grants, with the proven ability to effectively communicate services, and to develop funder and wider sector relationships aligned to our strategic priorities. You will be able to manage and deliver the whole cycle of income generation, including regular prospecting, grant management and impactful funder reporting.

About the role

As CUF works towards a new strategy and refreshed mission, vision and values, fundraised income is crucial for supporting its programmes and core operations. You will coordinate campaigns, direct marketing appeals and other supporter communications, using fundraising best practice, to maximise Church Urban Fund’s income for all components of individual and church giving. This role will report to the Head of Fundraising and Communications.

Overall purpose

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for developing, leading and implementing key aspects of our communications and engagement strategy. Your focus will be to maintain our high reputation and build engagement with key audiences – principally target public audiences, corporate partners, funders and supporters, volunteers, clients, and staff. 

Bridging the gap between senior leadership and delivery, you will be a confident and strategic thinker, but remain excited by the challenge of getting stuck in. You will be comfortable supporting colleagues to deliver activity as well as working independently on your own projects. You will have the knowledge and experience to ensure that the right policies, frameworks and plans are in place for our small team to achieve ambitious plans.

The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for campaigns, PR, content and storytelling, brand and creative, and plays an integral role in internal communications. They also support other external engagement activities, such as digital marketing campaigns, corporate partner acquisition and retention, and public fundraising.

Strong copywriting is essential for this role. You will be able to write, edit, and tailor content for different audiences, and publish it across various channels, including the website, social media, emails, and marketing materials. 

You will enjoy variety. Your day could involve operational planning, developing a new campaign, briefing freelancers and agencies, finding compelling stories, creating our Impact Report, speaking with journalists, working on internal communications, or drafting social media posts.

The successful candidate will have strong emotional intelligence, relationship building and negotiation skills. They will be collaborative and creative, drive projects forward, work effectively alongside the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, and bring people together across the organisation. They will provide supportive, effective management to the Communications and Campaigns Officer, and be an internal advocate for the impact our Communications and Engagement can have.

Overall purpose

The Philanthropy Manager will manage and steward a portfolio of funders and donors – across trusts and foundations, statutory sources and major donors – to secure annual and multi-year gifts in support of Breaking Barriers’ vision. As well as managing relationships with our existing donors there will be a focus on creating new relationships through proactive prospecting and developing a long-term strategic approach to stewardship and relationship development.

You will be an ambitious, enthusiastic, energetic, and autonomous fundraiser with a demonstrable passion for supporting people from a refugee background. You will have a strong track record of high-value relationship management and fundraising, ideally specialising in Trusts, Statutory, Major Donor fundraising or a related area. We are looking for someone who can successfully secure and steward gifts of 5 figures and above – so evidence of stewarding high-value relationships and high-quality written skills are key. You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

We welcome applicants with relevant transferable skills from other sectors and other areas of fundraising but a strong knowledge of the fundamentals of grant fundraising is essential. The Corporate Partnerships Lead will play a significant role in generation income, networks, and relationships by increasing the profile of the Marylebone Project, by aiming to partner with companies looking to enhance the corporate social responsibility.
