About the role:

This role is based in Staffordshire (we have an office in Stafford or Stoke). The caseworker will work directly with children and young people across the area; with hybrid working an option after the 6 month probationary period.

As a CYP DA Practitioner you will be:

• Working directly and indirectly with children and young people
• Delivering services mostly through education establishments
• Working within a wider DA service for the whole family approach

You will need:

• Good communication skills
• An ability to engage, build rapport and motivate young people
• A good understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on young people

Role overview

The Advance Prison Advocate will support women on remand and those unsentenced within the prison setting, providing pre-release support; focused on Accommodation, Finance, debt & benefits, Family & significant others and Social inclusion.

The Prison Advocate will develop a referral pathway with the Offender Management team within the prison, for women to access the service and will work in partnership with the existing service providers operating within the prison. You will co-design a person-centred support and action plan with women accessing support, enabling you to support them to address their needs and any risks in relation to the interventions identified above including providing ‘through the gate support’. The role will combine a casework- based approach, along with a signposting and advice service for the women in custody.

You will have demonstrable experience and understanding of working with women in a challenging multi-agency environment, ideally working with prisoners and/or their families.

You will build strong relationships with the Pre Release teams to ensure clients are able to maintain or access suitable accommodation, finance, benefits and debt, family and social inclusion support including negotiating terms on behalf of the women. Ensure that interventions are responsive to and meet the needs of women from diverse and minoritised backgrounds. This, together with referrals to wider partner organisations in the community, will ensure additional support needs are addressed post-release and continuity of support exists

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

About You:

To be successful as the Advance Prison Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:

Knowledge and experience of the criminal justice system obtained through academic study, experience of working in the criminal justice system (or closely associated social system).

The ability and experience as a caseworker delivering gender specific and trauma responsive interventions which support resettlement and rehabilitation of female adults in the criminal justice system whether in the community or in prisons.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of managing a caseload including maintaining and updating records, remaining focused on action plan goals, and keeping to deadlines

From our Coventry hub we offer a range of peer training, mentoring and more recently we have just opened a food pantry service to local people struggling with food poverty. About this exciting opportunity

The Police Custody In-Reach Service has recently launched across two main custody suites at Perry Barr & Oldbury. We have embedded credible lived experienced and culturally competent workers into the custody suites to use the arrest as a reachable moment to engage with CYP under 25 years of age of any gender that have been arrested for criminal activities, gangs, and related issues such as carrying weapons, drug related offences, violence and county lines and wider exploitation concerns. The service provided uses a trauma-informed approach to support in a number of areas (e.g., housing, finances, substance misuse, mental health, training, employment, family matters). Initial contact is made in custody suites, followed by meeting in the community to provide tailored support.

You will provide a high-level service to young people 11-25 impacted by gangs, youth violence, county lines and exploitation as either victims or perpetrators. You will help each young person to identify and realise alternative aspirations and goals to support them to establish lifestyles that move them away from criminal activities, gang involvement, violence, and negative life choices.

What we are looking for

•  Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families.
• Experience of engaging positively and deter young people aged 11-25 in custody from offending once they have been identified as being involved in a violence related incident, being at risk of exploitation or gang affiliated.
• Experience of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs, people who are reluctant to discuss their needs, and people who are angry and confused.
• Experience of providing support, advice and advocacy and the ability to assess clients’ needs.

About the Role 

As an IDVA at Respond, you will provide high-quality, trauma-informed advocacy to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and empowering them to rebuild their lives. You will conduct risk assessments (DASH), develop safety plans, and work closely with agencies such as social services, police, and housing. You will also play a key role in raising awareness and improving support for neurodivergent survivors. 

What You’ll Do 

Provide specialist, person-centred advocacy for survivors with learning disabilities and autism. 

 Undertake risk assessments and safety planning to enhance survivor well-being. 
Represent survivors at MARAC and multi-agency meetings, advocating for their needs. 
Work closely with social services, health professionals, and the criminal justice system. 
Deliver training and consultation to professionals on supporting neurodivergent survivors. 
Ensure accurate case management and uphold safeguarding responsibilities. 

What We’re Looking For 

IDVA qualification OR significant domestic abuse advocacy experience. 
Understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and trauma-informed practice. 
Experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those with learning disabilities and autism. 
Strong advocacy, case management, and multi-agency working skills. 
Ability to adapt communication styles to support neurodivergent clients. 
Knowledge of MARAC, safeguarding, and legal frameworks for domestic abuse cases.

About this role:

This role supports the service across Bedford Borough. As a Team Leader for the Specialist Services team you will:

• Offer a consistent representative for the twice weekly MARAC
• Be a SPOC for the Front Door - giving advice and support around queries/ concerns about DA
• Carry a reduced caseload
• Support the Safe & Together model
• have line manage responsibilities including Bedford Borough IDVA

You will need:

• A qualification as an IDVA or ISAC
• Experience of developing and maintaining partnerships and pathways within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Knowledge of legislation relating to equal opportunities and diversity, safeguarding and risk assessments
• Practical understanding of the requirement for confidentiality and safe working practice and maintenance of files in accordance with the Data Protection Act and other legal requirements

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison?

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Stocken. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role is prison based. St Giles and The Wise Group came together to form a partnership with the aim of supporting the Probation Resettlement reforms by offering a high-quality service underpinned by staff who have lived experience and cultural competency. As a result, we have been awarded contracts to deliver Women’s Services for North Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk, and Durham. The service will provide holistic support to sentenced women in the community and those sentenced and un-sentenced in custodial settings.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will monitor and manage the receipt of referrals from Probation through the Customer Approved System (CAS) ensuring they are successfully assigned to Personal Wellbeing Coaches using the appropriate guidance and process, ensure all inputting is accurate and within agreed timescales, plus provide regular activity reports to the Personal Wellbeing Manager.  You will be the primary point of contact for all enquiries, external and internal to ensure communication channels are clear and effective, while also liaising with external stakeholders (e.g. Prisons), delivery partners, spot purchase providers and other agencies to arrange appointments, referrals, and generally ensure information exchanged is done in a clear, timely and effective manner.

Developing and maintaining an Estates log and diary to ensure the team always have an approved site to meet service users in mandated locations when needed and providing administration for meetings, including bookings, invitations and minute-taking, are also vital duties.

What we are looking for

• Experience of managing a case management system including inputting data and creating reports.
• Experience of working in services providing administrative support in a busy, pressurised environment.
• Experience of working in services which provide support to people who have faced adversity and disadvantage.
• Ability to develop and maintain means by which compliance with policy and procedure can be effectively monitored and reported on including financial expenditure.
• Ability to manage their workload including prioritising tasks and communicating with colleagues where delegation or allocation is required.
• Ability to create and communicate performance reports in a variety of formats.
• Ability to input data onto Customer Relationship Management Systems accurately and within agreed deadlines.

About the role

Women and Girls Network (WGN) seeks a highly motivated and experienced ISVA Manager to manage our West London Rape Crisis Service ISVA service and team alongside the ISVA (Black Women Service Lead) Manager. Our ISVA service provides trauma-informed, intersectional, survivor-centred, rights and strengths-based advocacy that supports survivors on their unique journey of seeking justice. The service is passionate about campaigning and being a part of institutional advocacy and reform of the criminal justice process for survivors of sexual violence across England and Wales.  

As the ISVA Manager, you will lead the overall operational delivery of WGN’s ISVA service, ensuring the ISVA team provides the highest quality of specialist support to women who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the Criminal Justice System, while meeting organisational strategic objectives and funding requirements.  

You will provide Line Management and Case Management Support, including safeguarding guidance, ensuring a safe, responsive, advocacy-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally appropriate service for women accessing our support.
