Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people .You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.

All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK by the start of employment as Look Ahead are not able to offer sponsorship.

What you'll do:

Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers
Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
Supporting key customers to set personalised goals in the form of a Support Plan
Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Proactively manage risk and safety both in and outside of their physical living environment
Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed, to ensure that customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation

The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 140 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.

This role sits within our Nottinghamshire Service which works with and supports children and young people involved in and/or vulnerable to sexual exploitation/criminal exploitation and those young people that have required therapeutic support. We also have parent/carer support in place to emotionally support parents and carers that are impacted by exploitation and to raise awareness and increase understanding to enable to them to increase protection for their children.

We also deliver work around 'systems change' that challenge the challenges and barriers that exist within professional systems and processes that may increase further risk and harm for young people. The project supports young people who are wishing to exit the abusive and exploitative relationships/situations they find themselves involved/forced into. It also works preventatively with children and young people in a variety of settings as well as offering training and information sessions to groups of professionals regarding sexual exploitation.

We are currently looking for a creative and resilient person to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

We’re recruiting for a Fundraising Project Lead to join Samaritans. You’ll work in a small & friendly team to lead and deliver a programme of virtual fundraising challenges  and with plans to grow our current virtual flagship event to include an in-person element. THE ROLE

The Fundraising Officer will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating, and executing all fundraising activities and initiatives. The role requires the development and implementation of strategies to maximise donations and enhance donor relationships, in alignment with Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy. This position involves engaging with individual donors, businesses, and community partners to secure financial support for Islamic Help’s life-saving projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In collaboration with the Fundraising Manager/Head of Fundraising, to identify specific programmes and funding priorities, and organise targeted fundraising campaigns.
• Monitor donor funding trends and priorities and communicate this information to the Fundraising Manager/Head of Fundraising to ensure alignment with Islamic Help’s objectives.
• Plan and co-ordinate fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives such as tours, treks, lectures, and dinners.
• Recruit, engage, and train volunteers to support fundraising activities and events.
• Track, monitor, and process pledges made by colleagues at events, ensuring records are regularly updated.
• Monitor online donations and activities, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring relevant departments and donors are informed.
• Create promotional materials to support fundraising activities, including merchandise, banners, and other marketing collateral.
• Identify local, national, and international funding opportunities, and contribute to the development of Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy.
• Manage fundraising income by maintaining reports, tracking donations, and handling donor correspondence, and evaluate the success of fundraising activities.
• Identify partnership opportunities locally, nationally, and internationally for joint fundraising campaigns, aiming to expand Islamic Help’s capabilities in skills, expertise, and donor base.
• Represent Islamic Help positively in all aspects of your work, adhering to the organisation’s values.

About the role

As a charitable organisation, our members are essential to sustaining the future of the Library and achieving our new five-year strategy.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated membership marketer with excellent communication and copywriting skills to help improve member engagement and retention and grow membership at the Library.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will join a small and busy team in the Membership department. You will implement compelling member-facing marketing communications, activities and campaigns across digital and print platforms that engage member audiences and drive retention rates and growth in line with the retention plan and the Library’s strategic goals.

Supporting the Head of Marketing and Communications, you will work with an external producer and colleagues across the organisation to deliver The London Library Magazine three times a year. You will also design, deliver and analyse e-communications using our CRM and email software and identify opportunities to improve communication content and performance, organise member events, meet our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion aims, and act as first port of call for the media and communications function.

About you

Passionate about creating engaging copy for different audiences and channels, you will have a good level of experience with e-communications, e-software, data reporting and CRMs. You will have a background in membership marketing, ideally within an arts/cultural or charity organisation, and experience in implementing marketing retention campaigns to meet set targets. You will also have experience assisting with the delivery of events and be available to work at Library events as needed.

You will have strong writing skills with attention to detail and an ability to identify and produce engaging stories. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills, be organised and plan workload effectively to meet deadlines. You will enjoy working as part of a team while also able to work independently, taking initiative and holding yourself accountable to tasks. Most importantly, you will have a passion for your work, literature, reading and writing, and the work of The London Library; to inspire new ideas that create a unique impact on the UK’s literary and artistic output.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Education Officer to coordinate and deliver the Depaul Education programme.

Position: Education Officer - Prevention

Location: Milton Keynes

Contract: Fixed-term until 31/03/2025 (with potential for extension, pending funding)

About the Role

Working with the guidance and support of the National Education Programme Manager and the wider Prevention Team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the Depaul Education programme in a range of settings, including schools, colleges and Pupil Referral Units across Milton Keynes. The programme aims to prevent youth homelessness by running bold and creative workshops on the subject for large groups of young people, as well as more intensive sessions with smaller groups on related issues such as healthy relationships and conflict management. It also includes training teachers and professionals working with young people on homelessness.

You will be responsible for building long-term relationships with educational institutions to support their young people. This will include selling the programme and meeting specific delivery targets. You will also play a key role in monitoring and evaluating our work to ensure it has the highest impact possible.

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Effectively lead and coordinate the Depaul education programme in your region.
• Deliver the programme’s workshops to children and young people aged 11-18 in a variety of education and youth settings, including facilitating assemblies, classroom-based workshops and small group work, as well as delivering sessions virtually if required.
• Design and prepare engaging, innovative and high-quality resources and workshops that are integrated with the national curriculum and differentiated to meet the needs of children and young people with complex needs.
• Work collaboratively with the wider national team to periodically review and update the programme content, based on feedback and in line with developments in the sector.
• Take responsibility for, with full support, building strong partnerships with educational institutions in your region, including marketing the programme, generating income and meeting identified targets.
• Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including other agencies and statutory teams) to promote the programme and develop clear referral routes for young people into other services.
• Be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of all activities and keeping the database up-to-date, overseeing the monitoring and evaluation procedures in your base region.
• Keep up-to-date with current issues affecting young people in your region and ensure the programme is tailored to the specific needs and context of the area you are responsible for. You will need to have the following skills and experience:

The Wilder Wellbeing Officer will:

• Drive, embed and promote the benefits of a connection with nature to people.
• Develop and deliver resources and upskilling opportunities for communities and practitioners that support them to bring the wellbeing benefits of nature connection into their regular activities.

• Support volunteers to creatively bring nature connection for wellbeing into their communities.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

Responsibility 1: Developing and Maintaining Partner and Community Relationships

• Building on the legacy of previous wellbeing work, maintain relationships we have with health sector partners in Somerset as well as those supporting wellbeing through Social/Green Social Prescribing offers, including art and sports sector partners.
• Identifying individuals, community leaders and existing community groups in Somerset we are not currently working with and work to build trust and relationships.
• Working with our communications team, pro-actively provide content for external communications to highlight our work, the Team Wilder approach and the work of the communities and groups we are working with.
• Finding creative ways to reach previously underrepresented groups/individuals who may benefit from improved access to nature and who could help to take-action for nature in their communities.
• Supporting and inputting to the Local Nature Partnership Nature and Wellbeing Sub-Group, chaired by Somerset Wildlife Trust, and Somerset Nature and Wellbeing Practitioners Network.

Responsibility 2: Supporting Communities/Groups with Nature Connection for Wellbeing

• Championing the ‘Team Wilder’ approach to help create a movement for nature, sharing skills, experience, knowledge and learning about community organizing within the Trust and through the movement.
• Involving SWT and community-based volunteers to support with reaching previously underrepresented groups.
• Using in-depth knowledge of the benefits of nature connection for maintaining and improving health and wellbeing and experience in this field to community groups to embed in the services and informal support and advice they provide.
• Signposting individuals and groups to local nature and wellbeing/nature connection opportunities within their communities.
• Supporting individuals and groups with overcoming barriers to access.

Responsibility 3: Facilitating Events and Developing Resources

• Organising and facilitating public events and support community led events that aim to connect people to green spaces, recognizing the health and wellbeing benefits of doing so.
• Developing resources and guidance documents to support community groups, conservation sector colleagues and health practitioners to integrate nature connection/wellbeing into their regular activities.
• Working with community volunteers to ensure resources are relatable, accessible and include content that is most useful to communities and individuals we are supporting.

Part 1: Role Purpose:

The Global Press & PR Manager will play a vital role in growing awareness and exposure of Street Child, working with journalists, editors and media houses to build a consistent and pro-active media presence. Street Child’s Global MMC team is fully integrated into the whole organisation and our primary aim is to raise awareness of Street Child and act as a force-multiplier for fundraising efforts.

The role will explore new media relationships and re-ignite existing contacts, turbo-charging the value press and media generates for Street Child.

This is a role for a high-class media professional with a passion for our mission, great energy, imaginations and fantastic relationship building skills. This role requires an individual who will be based in our London office for a minimum of three days a week.

Tasks include delivering media coverage across global outlets, supporting the delivery of media training and briefings and the management/development of Street Child’s podcast.

Part 2: Key Responsibilities:

Delivering global media coverage (80%):

• Develop and maintain close working relationships with journalists across a range of broadcast, print and digital media outlets, looking beyond mainstream media to deliver global reach.
• Writing and publishing compelling, engaging press releases
• Manage and deliver media coverage on key campaigns and initiatives
• Support on the delivery of media briefings, including for the CEO, where required
• Lead and deliver PR campaigns, including influencer activations and activity
• Support the planning and management of overseas and UK trips for the purpose of generating coverage and content, often with journalists or high-profile supporters
