About the role:
We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, proactive and excellent communicator to help our major donors achieve their philanthropic goals through their relationship with Rainbow Trust.
Reporting to the Major Donor and Trusts Manager, this newly created role, in our expanding team, will help manage and cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals as part of our major gift programme. The Major Gifts Fundraiser will be responsible for reaching new donors and increasing sustainable income growth, contributing to driving our key fundraising campaigns and events, and will also manage a small portfolio of donors.
With our growth plans, this is an exciting time to join the team and raise funds to support seriously ill children and their families. Whilst previous experience of fundraising or working with high-net-worth individuals would be useful, it is not essential as this role will provide an opportunity to develop fundraising, research and communication skills.

Job Purpose
This role is crucial in ensuring the effective financial management of the college, providing insights to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.
Role Responsibilities
● Support Head of Finance and Data in preparation of monthly management accounts,
variance analysis, and financial reports for executive leadership team and boards;
● Assist Head of Finance and Data in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
● Provide financial analysis and insight to support decision-making across the college
● Work closely with budget holders to ensure effective financial control and cost management
● Maintain and improve financial reporting systems and processes
● Support year-end financial reporting, audits, and compliance with funding requirements
● Assist in cash flow forecasting and financial risk assessment

Person Specification
Essential:

The Health Collective is one of our central campaigns. It has emerged out of the urgent need to close the health gap for women from marginalised communities and is made up of and led by grassroots organisations, representing women’s voices from every marginalised community in our society.
The Health Collective Community Manager will be responsible for managing the development, expansion, and sustainability of the Health Collective.
This role will focus on managing and growing the existing community of members, organising and facilitating regular meetings, content creation for the Health Collective, coordinating the development of a unique identity for the group, and establishing an online community forum.

Main Duties
Community Engagement & Growth
- Actively manage and grow the online and offline community, recruiting new members from all marginalised communities and fostering a sense of trust and connection.

Event Coordination

- Record and monitor the Collective’s activities (output) and their effectiveness (impact) through data collection, surveys, interviews and case studies.

Global Greengrants Fund (GGF) supports grassroots activists and civil society organisations around the world working to address environmental and social justice in over 160 countries. The Role
Global Greengrants Fund UK is looking to hire an energetic and passionate individual who will play a key role in leading the finance function. The Head of Finance reports to the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO) and is responsible for the ensuring the smooth day to day operations of the finance function, including maintaining and ensuring accuracy of organisation's financial records, supporting all financial strategies and financial operations. They are responsible for all accounting, financial reporting and budgeting functions of the organisation, and with guidance ensures the organisation adheres to relevant regulatory and accounting principles. They work closely with the DFO to manage information exchange, integration and collaboration with our US sister organisation. Playing a vital role in the finance function they ensure accurate financial data capture and high-quality financial reporting while driving automation and efficiency across financial processes. They will work closely and collaboratively with budget holders, particularly in programs and philanthropic partnerships teams, providing them with meaningful financial insight and advice.
They will also play a key role in understanding and managing program/project funding (both restricted and unrestricted) and collaborate with the Programme Funding Manager ensuring effective tracking of restricted and unrestricted income and expenditure within GGF.
The ability to leverage Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and other financial tools (policies, processes and software) will be crucial in optimising our financial systems and improving processes.
The candidate profile.
The successful applicant will have significant relevant experience in a similar role in a charitable, environmental, development, social justice, feminist, gender, human rights organisation, and/or grant-making organisation. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced finance professional with a relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT) experience in the charity or non-profit sector. They will value transparency and accountability, demonstrating strong critical thinking and, strategic risk management. They will have a deep understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles and a strong background in financial management, including budgeting, financial controls, grant processing, and audit preparation. Proficiency in financial systems, particularly QuickBooks Advanced or similar accounting software, as well as advanced Excel skills, is essential. The candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritising workloads in a fast-paced and evolving environment. With a proven ability to oversee financial processes, implement automation strategies, and manage treasury functions, they will also be confident in providing financial insights and risk assessments to senior leadership. Experience working in an international organisation and knowledge of exchange rate risk management would be advantageous. They also thrive in a virtual environment, motivated to take on challenges and collaboratively find innovative and creative solutions. Multiple language skills would be ideal, while English fluency is a must.

The Programme Officer (Research) will play an integral role in the Impact team within the broader Directorate of Impact and External Affairs. Role Responsibilities
Grant-making activities
- Efficiently and effectively managing multiple annual grant award cycles taking responsibility for peer review processes and Panel meetings.
- Ensuring that grant making processes are delivered in accordance with AMRC best practice.
- Courteous and timely management of queries from applicants and other key stakeholders, such as RGAP members.
- Contributing and developing process improvements where necessary to continue to evolve our programme.
- Assist with the preparation of papers to support our decision-making processes including supporting our Research Grants Assessment Panel (RGAP) by ensuring they have all relevant information and that the meetings run smoothly.
- Ensure that formal decisions and outcomes are shared with relevant stakeholders, including applicants and internal colleagues.
Team and Organisation
- Take responsibility for keeping accurate and up to date records ensuring that these are readily and clearly accessible, primarily through CC Grant Tracker and Monday
- Be the first port of call for colleagues with queries related to our research portfolio, including providing support on donor-queries and funding applications.
- Highlighting opportunities for stories of impact with communications colleagues.
- Supporting with the collection and interpretation of impact-related measurements as we implement our impact framework.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks as required for example developing briefing documents, the organisation and delivery of in person and online meetings and events, minuting etc.

- Biomedical science/ related degree or equivalent experience.

About the role

thrivin’ together is a UK women-only organisation led by lived experience of gambling. We offer space and time to women who actively gamble, are in gambling recovery or are impacted by someone else’s gambling. The role will directly line manage our team through supervisions and fortnightly team meetings including the monitoring and reporting of progress and wellbeing. What will I be doing?

Support the running of this planning process, working with stakeholders across MFE and key partners in other directorates to align priorities, activity and KPIs.
Support the design, build and implementation of MFE quarterly business performance reviews to drive alignment with the audience strategy and ensure prioritisation and investment decisions deliver on overall strategic goals
Contribute to the development of a '3-year plan' for MFE, translating the mass audience strategy into a high-level plan of priorities and activity
Act as a key interface for MFE with other directorates, ensuring support functions receive a joined-up view of needs, requirements and priorities across MFE, aligned to the mass audience strategy (including deputising for the MFE Planning & Change Lead on forums relating to CRUK-wide planning)
Support improvements to how CRUK-wide planning is done, including how we align people and budgets to achieve our shared goals, especially in areas of org-wide shared resource (e.g. Creative)
Support the design, build and implementation of a new fit-for-purpose governance structure for MFE, and support the MFE Planning & Change Lead in running this new governance
Champion process optimisation initiatives across MFE to deliver efficiencies and improve employee experience
Work with colleagues in Fundraising Finance to ensure financial and operational planning are integrated and aligned, and to collaborate at key points in the business cycle (e.g. target-setting, budgeting etc)
