Your role will be to design the community writers programme, invite MAT and school leaders to write about their work on our platform and support them to write their very best stuff so they can achieve their writing and career goals.

What's the role?

Your job will be to design and deliver the community writers programme with the aim of maximising the number of MAT and school based writers who share their work on our platform so that members can learn how they achieve their results. 

• Designing and delivering the community writer programme

  • Designing the partnership offer between writers and our community

  • Producing materials that communicate what the programme is about: its aims, benefits and how it works

  • Define editorial guidelines which help us achieve our mission in line with our values

• Building the ultimate edu-blogging database

  • Design, build and maintain a list of serving MAT and school leaders who write online and their blogs

  • Add to the database by reading and sharing the blogs you find via social media

  • Grow the database through reader nominations and writer submissions

  • Post about the database on social media

• Developing relationships with MAT and school-based writers

  • Reach out to MAT and school-based writers to learn more about their work

  • Invite them to join the community and the programme

  • Work with them to evolve the programme

• Supporting MAT and school-based writers to write their best stuff and achieve their career aspirations

  • Understand why they write and help them to do it even better

  • Offer supportive accountability, feedback and resources you have created to help them generate as much engagement as possible

  • Promote their work to the widest audience possible so they can make the biggest impact possible

What experience and track record do you have?

It’s not essential you tick every box. But the more boxes you can tick the better. We can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

• Education and/or school leadership and teaching: Knowing how the MAT and school system works is a must. Knowing who does what role in MATs will help bring the right writers into the right conversations at the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

• Edu blog and press reading: Reading education blogs and press is something you love and do in your spare time to fuel your curiosity and keep you learning and meeting new people.

• Programme/partnership/volunteer management: Understanding what one side of a partnership needs and designing what the other side will deliver for mutual benefit is something you are good at. Tracking the impact is also important.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time is what gets you going. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• (Copy)writing: Writing is something you do and/or have dabbled with. Designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether they be writer invitations, promotional posts or writer support materials. You have a keen eye for good writing and articulating why it’s good.

• Editorial / journalism experience: Having a keen eye and nose for a story. Setting expectations for delivery of writing, communicating those expectations and helping either to work within them and improve their game

• Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) - Having an understanding of SEO, key word research and on page SEO will help.

• Creating support materials: Designing and producing material that lays out expectations and provides frameworks to help others deliver and improve is something you excel at.

• Social media use/management: Using social media platforms to find and learn from MAT and school leaders, who tweet, post and write about their work and careers is something you are experienced in.

We’re open to the role being shared by more than one person if we can find the right mix of people and their availability to work part-time and openness to share it.

Project Scope and Time Commitment?

We plan to evolve this role in 3 phases.

• Phase 1 - focus on building a community of Directors of Education and School Improvement Leaders writing inside the community (1 day a week for 3-6 months)
• Phase 2 - widen the focus on building a community of secondary school leaders writing inside the community (additional 1 day a week from 3-6 months following the start of phase 1)
• Phase 3 - expand the role to make it a nearly full-time role managing multiple communities of writers who focus on different aspects of education.

The more successful each phase is, the greater the scope to expand the role is. We'd love to grow it with you.

What's the role?

Your role will be to design, build, grow and promote a database of organisations, who offer products and services to schools, which have been recommended to by our members.

How you’ll be driving our mission forward

• Research and map the education marketplace

  • Understand the challenges schools buy in services to solve

  • Learn about the different providers who exist to solve them

• Design, build and manage the database school service providers

  • Define and codify the data architecture which governs the database

  • Categorise the providers by type, objectives, buyers, beneficiaries and more

  • Use no code tools to build and operate the directory

• Produce top of funnel content to promote the database, which attracts schools and providers sign up and contribute to it

  • Set and manage schedules of promotional content

  • Write valuable, practical, sharable and engaging posts on LinkedIn and Twitter about the providers and the database

• Design and build the user experience and information flows

  • Map out users journeys (both schools and providers) through the directory experience

  • Design and write sign up forms so schools and providers can access the database

  • Design and write submission forms so schools can nominate organisations and organisations can request to join the database

• Automate processes to improve user experience and your administration workload

  • Design information flow processes which manage engagement on both school and provider side

  • Use tools like Zapier, Aitable, Email and HubSpot to automate information flow and email notifications

• Cultivate a community driven approach to building the database

• You have a strong understanding of the types of problems service providers work to solve, which organisations exist in the education marketplace, the different types and their approaches and who the key buyers, users and beneficiaries of their work might be in schools.

• You've managed a school budget (or at least understand how tight they are) OR you've managed/fed into a marketing/sales budget at a school service provider OR worked in their sales/marketing department

• You’ve designed, built and managed databases/directories with low/no-code tools like Airtable, Webflow, etc

• You have experience of integrating platforms and building automations with tools like Zapier, Airtable, Hubspot, Gmail etc

• You’ve designed, produced and promoted effective lead magnets and sign up mechanisms

• You've designed slick user experiences and information flows using forms, databases and email

• You’ve crowdsourced content from audiences to leverage their collective knowledge using things like Google docs

Who we are

Chance for Childhood believes that no child should have to fight for a safe, happy childhood.

We exist to ensure that every child in Africa can thrive from their early years through to adulthood. Together with partners, supporters, children, and their communities, we protect, educate and create lasting change for every child threatened by violence, neglect and conflict.

Duties

The role will involve a combination of stewardship and new business, helping us to secure support from more trusts, foundations and businesses who share our passion for transforming the lives of children in the communities with whom we work.

Key duties will be to:

• Prospect and research potential grantmakers and businesses who share our strategic objectives
• Take a relationships-based approach wherever possible, establishing warm relationships between partners and Chance for Childhood
• Provide input to the 2025-2030 fundraising strategy, using your experience and knowledge of the fundraising landscape to help us devise an ambitious but sustainable plan to safeguard our work for the next five years
• Maintain a strong pipeline of funding opportunities
• Draft compelling, creative and persuasive funding proposals
• Secure four, five and six figure grants from trusts and foundations
• Manage a small portfolio of trusts and corporate partners, maintaining an accurate calendar of reporting and stewardship expectations
• Write and submit accurate reports to funders’ deadlines
• Beyond meeting formal reporting requirements, provide outstanding informal stewardship to funders, developing strong relationships and increasing the chances of repeat funding
• Communicate skilfully across borders with our brilliant in-country programmes team to maintain a flow of information, stories and data for fundraising and reporting
• Accurately record communications using our fundraising CRM (Beacon) and enable reporting on expected income
• Work effectively within our small, supportive and mighty fundraising and marketing team to ensure strong dissemination of ideas, and fidelity to our organisational brand in communications
• Stay well informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and adhere to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising best practice as well as relevant fundraising and UK GDPR requirements

Person specification:

A highly organised, detail-oriented self-starter who engenders credibility and trust with stakeholders, you will have good working knowledge of corporate and trusts and foundations fundraising, and very strong written and verbal communication skills.

To be the right fit for this role, you do not need to have a degree. You do not need experience in international development fundraising, although this would be an advantage.

Purpose of the job/About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Development Team at Dementia UK, where you’ll play a vital role in managing and expanding Admiral Nursing Services across health and social care settings throughout the UK.

As the Regional Account Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of both new and established Admiral Nurse services across various settings. Working closely with teams across Dementia UK, you will help implement, monitor, and quality-assure all services in line with our business processes. You will also collaborate with the Regional Development Leads and Area Business Development Manager, contributing to timely updates and reports on progress against action plans, the development of new services, and any services at risk, particularly within designated areas and restricted funding regions.

In addition, you will represent Dementia UK with key commissioners and stakeholders, influencing local dementia strategies and initiatives. Your efforts will ensure that Admiral Nursing remains a central part of local service design, supporting the overall delivery of Dementia UK’s strategy.

The goal is to grow our in person events offering for our community of MAT Directors of Education and School Improvement Leaders, which has already supported 85 MATs serving 90,000+ students.

Your role will be to produce face to face conferences that provide them honest, open and trusting spaces to share how they really achieve their results in practice.

So MATs can learn what’s working (and what isn’t), so they can deliver the best education possible to their students.

Your job will be to produce in person conferences, with a difference, for MAT Directors of Education and School Improvement Leaders.

Events where practitioners don’t just share what’s worked but also what hasn’t - openly and transparently.

The aim is curate powerful and practical warts and all stories, which attendees can ask questions about and dig deep into each other's work.

What experience and skills do you have?

It’s not essential you tick every box below. But the more boxes you can tick the better. We can help you gain and learn from the experiences you haven’t had yet.

• Education and/or school leadership/teaching: Knowing how the MAT and school system works is a must. Knowing who does what role in MATs will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations MAT leaders and teachers is also helpful for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces is key.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Digital marketing integration and automation: integrating and automating digital marketing platforms like eg MailChmip, Hubspot, Airtable and Zapier etc. Automating drip campaigns and email workflows.

Project Scope and Time Commitment?

The aim of this role is to produce two conferences:

Each conference takes about 14 weeks to plan and deliver working 2-3 days a week.

Job Purpose

 About The Hygiene Bank 

Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday hygiene and personal grooming products most of us take for granted. The reality of low income is that it restricts people’s options, leaving us caught between being able to heat our homes, pay the rent, eat, or be clean.  It is washing hair, bodies, faces and clothes in the same cheap washing up liquid used for the dishes. It is not being able to replace a toothbrush when needed or sharing a toothbrush because one each just isn't an option. It is having to choose between shaving foam and razors or the transport fare to a job interview.

Hygiene Poverty is the hidden crisis facing the UK. In May 2024, The Hygiene Bank published their second groundbreaking research into the incidence and impact of hygiene poverty. It found that over 4.2 million adults across the country are currently experiencing hygiene poverty and that it is both alarmingly widespread, increasing and disproportionately impacts the most vulnerable. It stops people from participating in society, feeds the mental health crisis and blocks routes out of poverty. It is simply unjust.

About the Role

 As one of our team of four Partnership Managers, you will have the exciting opportunity to make a huge difference in improving the lives of people living in hygiene poverty. Reporting into the Head Operations, the Partnership Managers plays a pivotal role in the charity and are responsible for overseeing and co-piloting our volunteer lead community projects.

The role provides support and operational advice to existing Operators, across the world, ensure access to and uptake of Foundation tools and resources, whilst supporting and sharing best practices across the network.

Where required there will also be a new business development aspect to the role.

Key responsibilities 

• Supporting operators to ensure their continued growth and sustainability.
• Support the delivery and management of a high-quality Award programme, that meets international standards, across a portfolio of Operators.
• Ensure effective and consistent day to day contact and support for Operators ensuring high levels of customer service.
• Induct and provide ongoing operational support to staff and volunteers in Operators Work with staff and volunteers of Operators to develop practical solutions to maintain and continually improve the quality of Award programme delivery, including approaches to increase levels of participation and completion.
• In partnership with the Licensing Manager and other colleagues schedule and conduct compliance and licence reviews of Operators in accordance with licensing requirements
• Actively promote the benefits of the Award (and non-formal education and learning), representing the Award and Foundation at relevant events (virtual and in person)
• Where required recruit, licence and induct new Operators to grow the Award.
• Provide support for, delivery and facilitation of training, with the Learning & Development team.
• Actively promote and support the adoption of the Foundation’s digital platforms
• Ensure engagement, in global campaigns to promote the Award.
• Ensure brand compliance across all Operators.
• Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required for the successful delivery of the Foundation’s business objectives.

Our Training Managers work together to plan and deliver an extensive programme of training services to build the capacity and capability of frontline professionals and organisations to respond effectively to victims and survivors of sexual violence. They routinely deliver inspiring, engaging and high-quality content, both online and in-person, to delegates from the victim support, criminal justice, higher education, education and private sectors, among others.

We are looking to recruit an additional full time Training Manager 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), or two part time Training Managers to work 3 days per week (Monday to Friday).

The Training Manager role is primarily home-based with some planned travel and so candidates can be based anywhere in the country.

Context and background: 
 
There are 1.5 million children and young people with a disability (CYPD) in the UK.  Over 3/4 cannot access regular leisure facilities which massively impacts their health and well-being. Furthermore, the impact of living with a disability can have a significant impact on the wider family, with over 72% of parents reporting mental health challenges and over two thirds saying they feel isolated some or all of the time.  
 
Gympanzees’ mission is simple. We want all children and young people living with any disability to have access to high-quality, fully inclusive leisure facilities so that they can enjoy fun, fitness, and friendships and support their families out of isolation.  
 
Sounds simple, but it’s a huge task.  There is nowhere in the UK like this. Anywhere. At all.  But we’re changing that, and we want you to join us! 
 
Since 2018 we’ve been hosting Pop Up’s during easter and summer months, across Bristol, in various special schools which has seen us welcome over 23,500 visitors.  Each one has helped hone and improve our delivery model, and longer-term plans.  These Pop Ups have seen some incredible firsts, including: 

• A 6-year-old taking their first steps 

• A 12-year-old sleeping through the night for the first time 

• A 3-year-old having his first laugh 

• An 18-year-old standing independently for the first time 

Families have travelled from all over the country to enjoy the Pop Ups, some covering 6-hour journeys just for their afternoon of fun! 

During COVID we quickly adapted our offer to include a Lending Library which continues to this day, offering nearly 300 items of specialist equipment, free of charge. 

In 2023 we purchased a new site to develop into a permanent home which will open in summer 2026.  Redevelopment is underway, and so too is an £8 million campaign to support this extraordinary project.

Where you’d fit in 

Gympanzees is a growing team which currently consists of 16 people.  The fundraising team consists of 6 people.  This role is a crucial member of the fundraising team and will be delivering on a vital income stream that is both financially and strategically significant for the capital project.  Overseeing a total income budget in the region of £1.4m across Corporate, Events and Groups fundraising, this role will lead and deliver on the strategy to identify, engage and steward key supporters from across these income streams, with a heavy focus on our corporate partnerships. 

Job description 

As the Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in securing vital income from across the corporate partnerships funding stream, whilst leading a small team to maximise their own fundraising efforts from across small events and group fundraising.  
 
This position is ideal for someone with proven experience delivering the above and especially those with capital campaign experience, but this is not a pre-requisite.  The main focus is on developing new business through corporate relationships. 
 
You'll be tasked with distilling complex information into compelling narratives that effectively convey our mission and objectives while aligning with a corporate partners CSR and ESG strategy.  Energy, confidence and excellent communication skills are essential.  
 
To do this you will need to use your experiences of identifying, developing and winning new corporate support utilising and developing our Corporate Champion scheme, Charity of The Year as well as commercial & strategic opportunities. 

Your approach will be highly organised and methodical to ensure effective and efficient processes lead to meaningful corporate partnerships.

Main Responsibilities - include but are not limited to. 

• Utilising your expertise and corporate partnerships knowledge to identify, develop, engage and win corporate partnerships to help deliver Gympanzees mission.

• To be accountable for meeting and exceeding annual income targets and key performance indicators. 

• To monitor and evaluate income against budget, taking corrective action as required.

• To develop a fully researched and engaged prospect pipeline of five, six and seven figure prospects for short, medium and long term opportunities. 

• To help maintain a comprehensive Charity of the Year Calendar. 

• To play a key role in maximising income for Gympanzees from existing commercial partnerships and relationships, with high quality proactive support and development.

• To work collaboratively across Gympanzees to maximise the potential value of corporate support, such as assisting Gift in Kind and budget alleviating opportunities relating to the redevelopment of the permanent site. 

• Line management and support of one corporate & events fundraising officer who stewards our corporate partners and oversee a small events calendar.

• Line management and support of one fundraising administrator who provides admin support across fundraising, Just Giving reporting, direct comms with groups and individual supporters, whilst also delivering discrete projects such as pieces of research.  

• Ensure that our database and supporter information systems are updated on a regular basis in line with Data Protection legislation and Gympanzees policy and procedures to ensure all records are up-to-date and accurate. 

Please demonstrate to us you are, or have: 

1. Experience of researching and engaging with key decision makers within a corporate environment including but not limited to C-suit and CSR/ESG leads. 

1. Experience of working with and through senior volunteers and committee members. 

1. Experience of success in delivering five, six and seven figure relationships. 

1. Experience of account management or partnership management within charity or private sector. 

1. Ability to work under pressure and manage a varied and competing workload using initiative and creativity to problem solve and deliver success.

1. Excellent written and verbal communications skills to analyse, interpret and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a wide range of audiences (including senior) to inspire support. 

1. Proficiency in using Windows based software packages, MS Teams, and CRM databases. 

1. An independent, outgoing, and confident individual, who is results orientated, working on their own initiative, whilst also being a compassionate and supportive line manager who can create the environment for their team to thrive and deliver.

1. Proven ability in accurate financial record keeping and assimilating and presenting data in a clear and accessible format. 

1. Strong business acumen and understanding of how different sectors and organisation might want to engage with a charity.
