Summary of role
The Community Fundraising Lead will work as part of the Partnerships team. The role will collaborate on the development of the community fundraising strategy and will lead on its implementation. The role will include engaging our community with a range of fundraising opportunities and will play a vital role in generating the funding needed for Choose Love to continue to support displaced people around the World.
Core Responsibilities

Drive revenue via community fundraising generated by individual fundraisers, employees of our corporate partner base and small businesses supporting Choose Love

Build a creative, diverse community fundraising strategy using learnings from your previous experience

Collaborate with partnerships comms and digital teams on the creation of community fundraiser journey, downloadable pack and assets for fundraisers and ensure these are kept up to date

Act as the key point of contact for Choose love community fundraisers, helping keep them informed and supported and giving them the tools to maximise their donations

Work towards fundraising targets by building Choose Love's community fundraising activity

Regularly identify and explore new opportunities for fundraising

Help to generate and realise new community fundraising ideas

Work with communications team to ensure regular updates about community fundraising activities to drive donations and inspire and ask others to fundraise for Choose Love
Events Assistance

Event support for both Choose Love events and external events organised by VIPs, community fundraisers and other stakeholders - this can be everything from tracking RSVPs to arranging printed materials, payment devices, merchandise and coordinating corporate volunteers at the event

Assisting with elements of the Choose Love Shop, as required, including logistics, facilities, technology, being an onsite point of contact for talent, corporate volunteers and other stakeholders and occasional shop shifts to help out at busy times

Running ad hoc pop up merch stalls with corporate partners

Working collaboratively with the team and Choose Love Leadership to creatively and practically build the Partnerships team’s fundraising revenue

About You:
You will need to be passionate about Choose Love’s vision and mission, building strong relationships with our local and community supporters.

What we're looking for

We’re open to discussions with candidates working in leadership roles outside of the drug and alcohol arena - for example, in mental health or housing. We’re most interested in your ability to demonstrate motivational leadership skills, with the drive to promote staff development and retention. You’ll have the support of an exceptional Head of Partnerships and a wider team of experienced and dedicated stakeholders across the organisation.

o Manage and ensure maintenance and running of Loveworks assets including the warehouse, van and two allotments

o Create and manage the overall budget as agreed with Trustee Treasurer
o Monthly and annual reporting
· Governance:
o Work with the Board of Trustees to ensure the charity commission governance requirements are operationally in place and maintained.
o Manage operational risk and health & safety across the charity.
· Stakeholder management:
o Relationship building e.g. agencies, schools, corporate organisations and fundraisers, developing and maintaining links with local community groups, organisations and businesses.
· Marketing and fundraising:
o Oversee the funding bids, grant applications, sponsorship campaigns and fundraising events.

- An ability to build and drive philanthropic programmes, with an outstanding track record of soliciting and securing significant gifts from high-net worth individuals, ideally at a 6-figure level.
- A strong track record of creating and driving high-value stewardship and communications plans.
- Experience building long term, philanthropic partnerships with both current and prospective high net worth individuals and corporates.

The Role
The Marketing and Campaigns Officer is responsible for developing and delivering multi-channel marketing plans, with responsibility for marketing across the charity. THE ROLE

About the role:
The HALO Trust has more than doubled in size over the last eight years by growing support from both Governments and philanthropic donors. Global income from philanthropic donors (including the US) has significantly increased over the past five years – from circa £4 million to £15 million in 2022/23 and reaching a further peak of £44 million in 2023/24 in response to exceptional donor support for Ukraine. - An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with staff and colleagues in different cultural environments

• Grow and manage the regular donors’ scheme, Payroll Giving, In-Memory giving, and appeals, contributing to the overall fundraising strategy.
• Champion the use of data and insight to drive regular giving, utilizing databases for effective prospect and donor management.
• Monitor, evaluate, and forecast campaign performance, ensuring targets are met and providing reports as required.
• Manage and review all copywriting and creative processes, maintaining tone and key messages for appropriate audiences.
• Collaborate with the wider fundraising team, including Corporate Partnerships, Major Donors, and Trusts and Foundations, to maximize opportunities.
• Liaise with the Head of Fundraising and your colleagues to optimize fundraising opportunities.
• Champion Police Care UK and the support it provides to our police community.
Person Specification:
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful regular giving strategies and campaigns.
• Effective stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
• Experience in budget management, reporting, and forecasting.
• The ability to influence, motivate, and persuade donors.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, CRMs, social media, and web platforms.
• Empathy with the police service and an understanding of the welfare needs of police officers and their families.
Desirable:
• Experience working with external creative agencies.
• Volunteer management experience.
• Experience in organizing fundraising events.
• Knowledge of lottery management and legislation.
