The Avenues is an exceptional West London youth centre that guides disadvantaged children and young people to explore and develop new skills, connect with their peers and our trusted staff, and find their confidence. The Avenues offers free-to-access fun and meaningful after-school, weekend and holiday activities led by trained youth workers. Our excellent facilities include training kitchen, music recording studio, podcasting studio, arts and crafts room, sports hall and classrooms.
With secured blue-chip funders and a host of smaller funders, a significant amount of groundwork has been laid, including a pipeline of multi-year grants securing some activities to 2026 and beyond. Our challenge is to maintain this revenue to create a stable future, by strengthening our relationships with existing funders and introducing new ones. We are looking for someone who not only shares our determination to give all young people a fair chance but has the experience, skills and personality to help us achieve our goals, someone who enjoys the thrill of achieving funding success.
Educated to degree level or higher, you will be a hard-working, self-starter with excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise and creative bids. Ideally, you will have 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams. However, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.
Either way, you will be skilled at budgeting and presenting financial information in easy to understand formats. You are a relationship builder and collaborative worker with a creative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
You have a high standard of software literacy (Office software, Mailchimp and internet), excellent telephone manner and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of callers.

The Role

Key Responsibilities

Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity that collects, refurbishes, and ships tools to Africa, enabling people to develop sustainable livelihoods. Volunteers are at the heart of our mission, from refurbishing tools in our centres to speaking at events, driving our vans, collecting tools, and supporting operations across the UK.
We are looking for a Volunteering Coordinator to help manage and grow our volunteer network of over 550 volunteers across England and Wales. This is a key role in our organisation, ensuring that volunteers have a positive and meaningful experience while helping TWAM grow and develop. You will play a vital role in supporting and developing TWAM’s incredible team of volunteers.
The Role
As Volunteering Coordinator, you will be responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of TWAM’s volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and meaningful experience. The core focus of this role includes managing volunteer applications, overseeing administrative processes, and ensuring strong communication with volunteers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities (Core Focus):

Tragically, 1-2 seemingly healthy children die in the UK every fortnight, often going to sleep and never waking up. This incidence is unchanging. SUDC UK was founded in 2017 to raise awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), encourage and fund scientific research and offer support and advice to affected families. We believe SUDC research should receive more attention and scientific investment and are inspired by efforts to impact SIDS (cot death), where there has been an 80% reduction in infant deaths in the past 30 years. We can do so much more for SUDC children and their families.

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities to support the strategic expansion of Gordon Moody’s reach. This role is essential in ensuring the continued delivery of vital services to those affected by gambling harm. The ideal candidate will have experience in business development, strong relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of evolving funding models, including government, corporate, and philanthropic sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential funding sources, including government grants, charitable funding, corporate partnerships, and other innovative revenue streams aligned with Gordon Moody’s mission.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies that adapt to changes in funding models, ensuring Gordon Moody remains competitive and well-positioned for future growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, trusts, foundations, and corporate partners. Develop a deep understanding of their priorities, expectations, and funding processes.
- Tendering & Proposals: Lead the preparation and submission of high-quality funding proposals, tenders, and grant applications. Ensure all submissions align with Gordon Moody’s strategic objectives and effectively demonstrate our impact.
- Market Analysis & Intelligence: Stay informed on developments within the gambling sector, funding landscapes, and public health policies to identify trends, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Finance, HR, and Operations) to ensure a coordinated and effective approach to securing new business opportunities. Align fundraising efforts with the organisation’s broader goals.
