The role

With Ace of Clubs, homelessness charity approaching their 30th Anniversary Year, this is an impactful and engaging time to join the charity.  Your role as Community and Volunteering Co-ordinator will be pivotal in these developments.

You will be supporting, coordinating and administrating the charity’s amazing supporters and volunteers.  This requires sustaining and building strong relationships with those who generously contribute in various ways—whether through time, money, practically or professionally.   Our supporters and volunteers are key for the charity's sustainability. 

Our supporters and volunteers are from diverse backgrounds, range in age, and include individuals (including our service users who also volunteer), community groups and corporate teams.  Their contributions are essential for the running of our charity - that provides transformative, daily support for those who are marginalised and experiencing homelessness; including safety, food, warmth, clothing, laundry, showers, IT suite and access to casework and healthcare - all onsite at our warm and welcoming community drop-in.

About You
You need strong administrative, writing, and Microsoft office skills. Additionally, you have a positive mindset and can adapt to a wide range of individuals, from those who use our services to our supporters, volunteers and corporate partners.

While experience working for a charity is not necessarily required, empathy and understanding for individuals experiencing homelessness is essential.

You could be someone looking for an opportunity to grow and develop your career within the charity sector, or someone with extensive experience seeking a more philanthropic and fulfilling role.

We are looking for a Prospect Researcher and Trust Fundraiser to join a well loved National health charity.

The role can either be UK homebased working, once a month in the London office £27,250 - £29, 697 (Rest of England)
or Hybrid working with two days a week in the London office £30,300 - £33,533 (London).

The Role
Lead the development and maintenance of a health pipeline of Trusts, Corporate and Philanthropy prospects (80%).
Research, identify and draft applications for small - mid value Trusts (20%).
Monitor and evaluate the progression of prospects through the pipeline.
Manage a portfolio of Trust donors, stewarding relationships to ensure long term support.

The Candidate
Prospect research experience for a fundraising function in a charity.
Trust fundraising experience is desirable but can be learnt in role.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a confident and experienced Communications/PR professional to be part of GOSH Charity’s busy and ambitious External Communications team on a six-month fixed term contract. 
 

We’re looking for someone to take on a varied role where you’ll:

• Secure well messaged, impactful press coverage across national and broadcast media, to maximise reach and cut-through. 
• Act as comms lead on large campaigns and projects, including fundraising, events and research priorities.
• Research, write and distribute materials such as press releases, statements and Q&As. 
• Support the handling of any crisis communications. 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced communications professional to take ownership of high-profile projects across the organisation. 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We’re looking for a seasoned communications professional with:

• Previous experience delivering high profile and effective proactive PR campaigns. 
• Previous experience of responding to reactive media enquiries on a variety of different subjects, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Experience handling issues and crisis communications, as well as dealing with sensitive issues. 
• Experience working with celebrities and/or influencers. 
• Experience of interviewing people sensitively and managing the consent process. 
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including proven ability to negotiate with senior internal and external stakeholders. 

Experience working in the charity sector is beneficial for this role, but not essential.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the driving of events through the development and delivery of the annual calendar for the Charity

Job Responsibilities:

• With support from the Community & Events Manager, organise and lead on the successful delivery of the annual hospice fundraising event programme
• Research, plan and implement new events to diversify the annual programme
• Proactively seek and maintain new relationships to enhance our events

About the role

The purpose of the direct marketing executive role is to support the charity’s prize-led fundraising activity, which currently consists of two products – the Breast Cancer Now raffle and the Pink Ribbon lottery. Working closely with the direct marketing officers, you will assist in delivering a wide-range of campaigns across multiple channels (direct mail, email, telemarketing, digital and face-to-face marketing), which recruit and retain supporters to these products. And, you’ll provide vital administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the team and the lottery. 

The workload is varied and an average day might consist of proof-reading campaign materials, processing invoices, recording campaign results, helping to brainstorm ideas for an upcoming campaign, briefing internal teams, calling a lottery winner, helping to resolve queries, shadowing our face-to-face fundraisers, or writing copy for an email campaign.

About you 

You might be looking for your first role in a fundraising, or direct marketing. REMUNERATION

At CPI, we are committed to aligning our compensation framework with the principles of fairness, equity, and transparency. We benchmark salaries using national, country-specific data and aim to offer compensation between the 50th and 75th percentiles for all staff roles. Additionally, we maintain a 5-to-1 ratio between the most senior and junior staff, ensuring that our compensation structure remains equitable across the organization.

For the CEO role, a competitive salary will be offered in line with local benchmarking for the country where the CEO is based. As a reference, in our two largest offices, the salary range for a UK-based CEO is £170,000-200,000, and for a US-based CEO, the range is $275,000-310,000. Beyond base salary, we take a holistic approach to compensation, offering a benefits package designed to support work-life balance. This includes a generous package and leave entitlement, comprehensive health care, and flexible working arrangements. CPI’s CEO would preferably be based in the US (East Coast) or Western Europe, but we are open to discussing other locations in an exceptional circumstance. Travel will be an important part of the role, with consideration given to climate impact and effective use of time and resources. Travel will include visits to team meetings, attending key global forums, client meetings, and events that showcase CPI’s vision and inspire the re-imagination of government.

A new Labour Government has been elected with a mandate to deliver key policies to improve the UK’s environment and climate – from transitioning our energy system to one based on renewables and improving the energy efficiency of our homes and business; to improving our biodiversity and protecting our nature; cleaning up our rivers and beaches, and making our farming more sustainable. 

Labour’s Environment Campaign – SERA is the Labour Party’s affiliated environment campaign. We helped to provide the evidence and political will to develop many of these policies in Opposition and campaigned to elect a record number of Labour MPs to help deliver these policies in Government. Supporting environment and climate policies for the Welsh and Scottish Labour Parties ahead of the 2026 elections in each nation is also a key priority for us.

Our Intelligence Team research and produce our Exploitation Analytics service – a suite of reports containing actionable insight that our clients utilise to find potential bad actors operating within their transaction monitoring systems.
