What the job involves

We’re looking for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our Events and Community Team. A high performing team who are driven to maximise opportunities, we aim to reach ambitious targets and provide an excellent supporter experience.

Our team raises funds through a range of activities including:

· our own events (e.g. March for Men)

· virtual products (e.g. The Month Series)

· third party events (e.g. London Marathon)

· Golf Days

· helping community fundraisers who organise their own activity

You’ll be our first point of contact for our fundraisers. You'll provide admin and support through telephone, email, and social media channels. You’ll build and manage relationships with existing and new supporters. From registration to the end of their supporter journey you'll help motivate during challenges, offer fundraising advice and ensure thanks at the end of a first-class experience. Whilst each Coordinator has a primary area of responsibility across different types of events, you’ll also work across teams to support where needed during busy periods of activity.

This role works with data through maintaining our Raiser’s Edge database. You'll also update records on JustGiving and Facebook Fundraising. This requires accuracy and working under the requirements of GDPR.

You’ll also work with our Communications teams. This supports the planning and delivery of our activity. You'll help engage with our digital adverts and identify compelling supporter stories. This helps to raise the profile of our fundraising products, as well as prostate cancer and Prostate Cancer UK.

Support Coordinator

Here at Stroke Association, we’re looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent communication and organisational skills to join our Stroke Recovery Service based in the Salford area.

This is an exciting home based opportunity working with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11212 Stroke Association Support Coordinator (two posts)

Location: Home-based, Bury. However, frequent travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings).

Hours: Part-time, 28 hours per week (flexible working available)

Salary: Circa £21,391 per annum

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

A key part of the role will be to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers, to support service users and the delivery of the service.

The Stroke Association Support Coordinator will:

· Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.

As our Intergenerational Care Coordinator, you will lead the intergenerational care strategy, organising events and building connections across generations. What will your typical day involve? 

You will lead the intergenerational care strategy, working with Nightingale Hammerson teams and external stakeholders. Key tasks include organising intergenerational events, creating spontaneous engagement opportunities, and fostering communication with Jewish organisations, synagogues, schools, and community centres. 

You'll produce reports to show the impact of the programme and contribute to educational and research projects. Impeccable customer service is essential, as you'll welcome visitors and ensure a positive experience. Additionally, you'll develop departmental processes to improve efficiency and promote Nightingale Hammerson’s values. 

You’ll also handle telephone and email enquiries, maintain strong working relationships, and occasionally support evening and weekend events. 

Who are we looking for? 

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with a Diploma in Intergenerational Care and Education being essential. They must demonstrate a willingness to have a positive impact on people’s lives, possess excellent communication skills with a kind and caring approach, and have a strong understanding of Jewish culture and way of life.  
 
Essential skills include literacy and numeracy for producing written materials and statistical information, alongside excellent IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, record systems, and video call programmes.  
 
Flexibility to meet service needs and the ability to work independently without constant supervision are key.

Experience in healthcare or educational settings is required, along with experience in leading or coordinating groups. The candidate should have experience designing lesson plans, and while experience in leading intergenerational engagements is desirable, it is not essential.

Overview of the Directorate

The Education Department manages and develops the ESU's portfolio of education programmes. This portfolio encompasses teaching programmes, domestic and international competitions, short and long-term interventions in schools and external educations, continual professional development oppertunities for teachers,awards and scholarships. All of which are focused on giving young people the speaking & listening skills and the cross-cultural understaing they need to thrive.

Purpose of this role

The main purpose of the role is to carry out and assist in the administration and day to day running of the ESU’s educational programmes, communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and managing delivery staff to ensure collective goals and objectives are reached

 Responsibilities and Expectations

 · Support with the smooth running and delivery of ESU Education’s domestic & international programmes as needed

· Be the first respondent to incoming calls and emails from educators, ESU partners and the general public, providing timely and professional responses to all enquiries

· Manage ESU spreadsheets and data across various Excel and our CRM system to ensure clean and accurate data collection and collation

· As needed, support with the development and improvement of education resources

· Liaise with the ESU’s Accounts Department regarding invoicing, delivery staff pay and expenses.

· Maintain accurate records of all bookings, delivery staff status, schools, public feedback and other relevant information.

· To support with delivery of workshops in schools, undertaking training to ensure delivery and teaching matches ESU standards

· Where appropriate source venues, confirm catering arrangements and other operational requirements regarding Education events.

· Assist the department in ad-hoc admin work as needed such as printing

· Participate in call-rounds as part of the department’s sales and onboarding efforts

· Co-ordinate the collection of process evaluation & impact data.

        To work or travel over occasional evenings and weekends as directed by line manager, with time off in lieu.

· On occasion, support young people during workshops, residential programmes and competition events to ensure these key beneficiaries are supported throughout their engagement with the ESU.

The Research Coordinator will take forward some of our strategic goals around evidencing the causes of Foodbank use, participation work with those using Foodbank services and influencing work and practice across our Foodbank.

You will benefit from the established support network of other Trussell Trust Foodbanks conducting similar research programmes. Earlier this year, we built a brand-new events function, and we’re looking for the final member to join this small but perfectly formed team of professionals (team consists of a Senior Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, and two Events and Sponsorship Coordinators).

If you have some events and/or sponsorship experience and are looking to develop your career in a friendly yet fast-paced environment, then this is the role for you. Your profile

To  assist in coordinating and project managing a varied portfolio of events, including an annual member conference, internal staff events, roundtables, and a range of face-to-face and online events as well as overseeing the ETF’s presence at sector trade shows and conferences. 

To work with the events manager to proactively seek impactful speaking and sponsorship opportunities to help build the profile and raise awareness of our work within the FE and Skills sector. 

To track the events budget, including regular reporting and tracking on spend. 

To produce corporate display materials and collateral for events, giving consideration to sustainability, and working closely with the marketing team to ensure brand guidelines are upheld. 

To contribute to the quality review process for contract-specific events.

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent organisational skills; able to demonstrate capability in multiple task management, prioritise workload and evidence of success in delivering outcomes to agreed timescales and tight deadlines.
• Strong IT Skills, Microsoft Office packages (word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)

The coordinator roles are vital components of this project. We want to attract candidates from the South West of England with sound local knowledge and able to travel in the region - these will be important parts of this job.

Purpose of the roles:

• To be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Neighbourhood Watch’s partner project involving Neighbourhood Watch volunteers within the South West.
• Recruit, training and coordinate volunteers so they can deliver information sessions to community groups. 
• Research areas in needs of support and book venues where information sessions will be delivered by volunteers.

About the role

As CUF works towards a new strategy and refreshed mission, vision and values, fundraised income is crucial for supporting its programmes and core operations.
