As our Applications Specialist, you’ll play a hands-on role in supporting and maintaining our core business applications, ensuring systems are secure, up to date and delivering value. You’ll work across application patching, software deployment, licensing and compliance, with a strong focus on collaboration across teams and suppliers.
We’re looking for someone with experience in supporting enterprise applications, experienced with Microsoft Intune, who is highly organised and confident engaging with both technical and non-technical colleagues. About the role:

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Trainer to join our Bet You Can Help Now team. You will deliver engaging, interactive workshops across a range of organisations, both in person and online. Working alongside our Experts by Experience (EbEs), you’ll ensure our sessions are insightful, impactful, and supportive.
This role is home-based, but you’ll need to be prepared for regular travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays, to deliver our workshops effectively.

Role Details
Title: Head of Skilled Volunteering

The Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the River Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities
Oversight of the Spear Programme
Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there.
- Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
- Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.
Partnership liaison and relationship management
- Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
- Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.
Line management and training
- Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
- Work with and be managed by River Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
- Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.
Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry
- Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church
- Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
- Keep the River Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Main Responsibilities:
Our FOOD (Food On Our Doorstep) programme aims to: provide regular access to a sustainable supply of food to people at risk of food insecurity; encourage families to access local support services and be signposted to other agencies; increase disposable income for local families to improve life chances and wellbeing; reduce the amount of food being sent to landfill in the UK by utilising surplus food.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
1. Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.
2. Supporting the FOOD Club Coordinator to carry out regular compliance checks to ensure the quality and safety of the service, in order to protect service users and Family Action.
3. Ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out in line with food safety/hygiene standards.
4. Ensure volunteers are using up-to-date allergies forms to prevent any risk to service users.
5. Support the FOOD Club Coordinator with financial checks, stock control, recruitment, induction and training of volunteers.
6. Recording accurate data to enable the FOOD Club Coordinator to report on KPIs, including uptake of the scheme, service user income, and the positive financial impact on families.

Experience:
-
Excellent understanding of rights based campaigning on migrants and human rights issues through a woman’s lens

Excellent knowledge of women’s issues and violence and oppression that impact on migrant women.

Self-motivated and proactive, able to work both as part of a team and independently

At least 3 years experience in a systems change approach in developing the work of an organisation and supporting/supervising staff and projects management

Proficient in developing fundraising strategy and applications

Good knowledge of how migrant community groups organise and work together

Experience in building networks and alliances and in collaborative work

Good level of knowledge of employment, immigration and welfare policies and procedures

At least 2 years experience on developing operational systems and compliance within a charity setting

Understand and commits to the aims and values of the organisation in promoting and protecting the rights of migrant workers, specially those women who were trafficked and experienced all forms of gender violence

Embedded and engaged in the ESEA community with an in depth understanding of nuanced community issues

Role Context and Purpose
Following recent and projected growth of the organisation, Gaddum is looking to recruit additional resource within the Central team to bolster its support to the organisation, ensuring it delivers safe and high quality services.
The post holder, line managed by the Finance and Resources Director, will join the Finance Assistant and Central Services Coordinator in providing additional resource to the centralised function. Whilst the specific focus of the role will be by way processing payroll and employee expenses, due to the size of the team, there is an expectation that they will work closely with the Central Services Coordinator and Finance Assistant providing additional support to those roles when needed. This is an up to 28 hours per week role, working flexibly and hybrid to suit the needs of the organisation and individual.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Management and delivery of Gaddum’s monthly payroll for all employees:
- Collating information and inputting into company system
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries including adding new starters, processing leavers, and any other contractual changes
Management of pension scheme:
- Ensuring compliance with auto-enrolment pension
- Adding new starters and processing leavers with the pension provider along with any changes that might impact pension
- Updating pension provider with any monthly contributions
- Supporting employees with payroll queries and investigating discrepancies
- Prepare salary reports to management, explaining key reasons for variances to budget
- Processing and payment of employee expenses on a bi-weekly basis
- Regular cover for Central Services Coordinator on their non-working days and during periods of leave
- Support Finance Assistant during periods of leave and busy periods
- Provide Administrative support with Central team
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- To meet regularly with Finance & Resources Director for supervisions
- Undertake additional duties within competence of post holds as required by the Finance & Resources Director
- Flexible approach to working patterns and in-office working days
