An exciting new role within the Marketing team at BookTrust, the Brand Marketing Executive will implement marketing strategies for BookTrust's established traded programmes, provide functions such as fundraising with marketing support and help the marketing team keep on track of all design projects.
This is an ideal role for an established Marketing Executive who is ready to work on national marketing and fundraising campaigns, manage marketing creative for a number of different audiences and support internal terms with marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Brand Operations Officer is responsible for managing the distribution of products donated by brands to community-led projects. This role plays a key part in developing and coordinating relationships with key logistics and storage partners.
Managing the brand donation logistic process in line with the organisational objectives, resulting in the successful allocation of products to reach areas of most need.
· Respond to and coordinate all brand enquiries

You will lead Woman’s Trust income generation ensuring adequate income to sustain and grow the organisation, increasing its income from £1.3 Million to £3 Million in the next 3 years. While raising funds from multiple income streams, focus growths areas will be statutory and Trust and foundation funding securing six-figure, multiple-year grants and contracts. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign our aims aligned to our strategic priorities.
You will oversee the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy and the funding pipeline; ensure the maintenance and development of excellent relationships with current and new funders, stewarding grants and reporting back; review, update and develop service budgets; oversee the submission or coordination of quality bids, approaches, and events.
As a member of the senior leadership team, this post will work cross departmentally and will contribute to the overall strategy of Woman’s Trust, working closely with the CEO and the Board of Trustees. You will lead and line manage the Senior Trust and Foundation Manager and Fundraising Officer. You will deliver a direct income target for each year, with a focus on the development and tendering of statutory commissioning.
Hours: 35 hours per week (28 hours will be considered).

Purpose: you will be the key resource within a small fundraising team, with responsibility for applying and securing funding to cover our core costs, as well as grant applications for specific community activities and building projects. As the only paid member of this team, you will take the lead in researching, applying for, and reporting on grant application progress with charitable trusts and other potential funders, in line with our fundraising strategy. You will also be a member of our Operations Team, which meets weekly to oversee the day-to-day efficient running of The Hub.
Contract: 2-year contract initially, subject to successful completion of a 4-month probationary period.
Hours: 8-12 hours per week, to be agreed upon appointment. Within reason, we are flexible about when these hours are worked throughout the week, although we would expect the successful candidate to regularly attend the weekly Operations Team meetings on Tuesdays, in person.
Background:
The Leatherhead Community Hub (LCH) was established in July 2020, as a dedicated community centre in North Leatherhead. LCH provides opportunities for people to come together socially and build community, as well as giving our partner organisations a permanent base from which to offer critical support and services to local residents, including the local Foodbank and Community Fridge. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming space at the heart of the community, where people of all ages can connect, learn, have fun, and find the support they need to thrive. The Hub attracts around 3,000 visitors a month to our café and the many other community activities and events run by LCH, our partners and other local groups.
LCH has a yearly budgeted turnover of over £200,000 (2024/25), excluding funds raised for a major building project. Just over a half of this amount is from the café & tenant rental income, and the remainder is from grants & fundraising activities (including a 3-year grant from the National Lottery).
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Researching potential funding opportunities, with a particular focus on charitable trusts and local authority grant schemes. (Other members of the fundraising team will take the lead in fundraising from local businesses, schools, and churches).
- Submitting a regular flow of small and larger grant applications to meet core costs and match other identified funding needs, with support from the rest of the fundraising team.
- Attending monthly meetings with the fundraising team, including setting the agenda and updating the rest of the team on progress towards our fundraising targets.
- Maintaining a database of past, current and prospective grant applications, as well as digital copies of all grant applications, award letters, etc.
- Monitoring and fulfilling the reporting requirements of successful grant applications, ensuring that we are collecting information on outputs/outcomes set out by funders.
- Attending weekly meetings of the Operations Team, to keep in touch with what is going on at the Hub and identify future funding priorities.

Starting salary: £30,502 (outside of London, with a £3k annual travel bursary)/£34,162 (inside London) Under our Employee Ownership Trust model, all team members will also receive an equal share of the profits each year. The amount will depend on how much profit is made.
Contract Term: This is a permanent, full time contract.

We are looking for a full-time Shelter Coordinator to join our small and friendly team to lead the successful delivery of our shelter operations for the 2024-25 winter season.
C4WS Homeless Project provides support to those experiencing homelessness throughout the year via a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, hosting scheme, mentoring scheme and various other activities. We are passionate about helping people rebuild their lives after homelessness and working towards living independently.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the practical and day-to-day running of our shelters, which will involve:
- Ensuring each shelter has enough trained volunteers to safely operate
- Ensuring each shelter has all the practical equipment and resources needed
- Liaising with and supporting church volunteer teams
- Being the main staff presence at shelter shifts
- Responsible for managing our weekly Friday Club drop in
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or other similarly disadvantaged groups, an efficient and practical approach, warm and friendly nature, and a can-do attitude.
The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly whilst the shelter is operating. This includes some evenings (9:30pm finish), and some weekend shifts and bank holidays, as per a weekly-changing rota, and therefore is required to display considerable flexibility. The London Programme Coordinator will be responsible for managing a caseload of up to seven partner schools, attending and coordinating weekly tutoring sessions, developing relationships with pupils, school staff and volunteer tutors and collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes. This role plays a crucial part in overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring sessions to ensure effective and impactful programme delivery.
Duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. This includes working closely to manage and effectively communicate with all key stakeholders: schools, pupils and volunteer tutors; leading weekly face to face and online tutoring sessions; leading on reviewing and improving programme delivery, using data to reliably assess programme performance.
- Responsible for overseeing the quality of both face to face and online tutoring, engaging in quality assurance processes, and providing feedback to volunteer tutors to ensure effective and impactful delivery.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers.
- Update and maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and end of programme surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators.
