Who are we? We’re The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice. We’re a well-established charity located at 20 Dumbreck Road, Bellahouston Park, Glasgow G41 5BW. The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting, progressive illness, and support for their families and carers. 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as Head of Fundraising. This pivotal role is responsible for spearheading our fundraising efforts, nurturing key relationships and driving and growing income generation to support our strategic and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and grow our diverse fundraising team, covering areas such as Community, Key Events, Key Relationships, Business Development, In Memory, Legacy, Individual Giving, and Trusts.

· Collaborate with the Director of Income Generation and Digital to develop and implement a robust fundraising strategy.

· Foster a culture of excellence, cooperation, and innovation within the team to exceed financial targets and KPIs.

· Engage with high-profile individuals and businesses, expanding our donor base and securing support for fundraising initiates. 

· Represent the hospice at networking events, delivering presentations to enhance our public image and brand awareness.

· Transition the team away from traditional fundraising methods through event delivery, pivoting into stewardship and relationship based fundraising methods. 

 Ideal Candidate:

· Proven experience in fundraising and team management.

· Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

· Strategic thinker with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Housing Support Worker to take a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive housing related support & development service to YMCA Leicestershire residents to enable them to build firm foundations for a positive future.

Salary: £27,144pa. (Grade C1)

Hours of Work: 40-hours per week including 1- hour paid lunch. This will include some evening and weekend work as well as being part of the emergency on call rota

Location: Based at the Aylestone Centre in Leicester (LE2).

Key responsibilities will include:

• Taking a lead role in the provision of a comprehensive housing related support & development service to YMCA Leicestershire residents to enable them to build firm foundations for a positive future as part of a person-centred approach tailored to individual needs.
• Holding a support caseload working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to help young people identify and meet their personal, social, health, learning and employment needs as identified in their Support and Resettlement plan, within an average 6-month time frame.
• Carrying out weekly Health & Safety Room Checks of the accommodation in which young people are living
• Proactively managing and leading a team of support workers using organisational policies and contractual expectations.
• Developing and implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviour in a professional manner
• Understanding and advising the team on the principles of relevant legislative frameworks

About you

As a Senior Housing Support Worker, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, with evidence of establishing and maintaining good working relationships with team members, young adults and multi-agency teams. You will also have excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality. You will be a proactive team-player and have experience of working disengaged young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour.

To succeed in the role of Transition Coach, your key skills will include:

• A recognised formal qualification in Social Work, Youth & Community Development, Housing, Criminology or relevant Social Science to degree level or equivalent.
• Proven experience at a comparable senior level
• Clear understanding of the needs of homeless people
• Direct experience of working with disengaged young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour
• Direct experience of working with a range of multi-agency partners at delivery level.

A driving license and access to a car is essential to the role.

Lambourne End Centre are looking to recruit a Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator.  The post holder will be responsible for raising revenue and capital funds primarily from trusts, companies and through organising fundraising events to support the work of the Centre. They will also be required to promote the Centre to potential funders, user groups and the public, especially via the Centre’s website and social media channels.  Candidates will need to demonstrate that they can think creatively, use initiative and work productively with colleagues.  They need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to enthuse others.

This exciting opportunity will ideally suit someone at the early stages of their career in charity fundraising.

The post will be based on a 35 hour week, but will involve flexible working including occasional evenings and weekends.

Due to the nature of the work the post will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Lambourne End Centre is a fantastic 54 acre site in south west Essex full of opportunity.  The Centre boasts residential accommodation and training facilities, adventure activities, and a working farm and gardens with dedicated environmental areas.  These are used to generate a wide range of programmes  to improve health and wellbeing and promote personal development, especially for those who struggle in mainstream environments.

This is a new and exciting role in Refuge, the post holder will be embedded within district borough housing teams to facilitate dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. The housing advocate will be collocated within the council offices of their designated area to help facilitate:

• Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
• Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
• Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
• Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Joint working with the IDVA or Domestic Abuse Outreach services to ensure all the survivors’ needs are met.

This recognizes that many survivors will approach Housing at moments of crisis, when they are either considering fleeing, or have already fled.

The housing advocate will carry a caseload of survivors that require additional support. They will work closely with survivors of domestic abuse from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy around housing needs.They will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and individual safety support. They will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

Co-located housing advocacy is another form of community-based specialist domestic abuse advocacy support that focuses on victim/survivors’ self-identified needs, rather than needs defined by the service and any pre-defined actions the agency thinks victim/survivors should take. The work is undertaken with the victim/survivor around their individual needs and for a period dictated by need, not targets.
